chapter 83 - Might of the Divine ship
*BOOOM*
A blue firework appeared in the sky and its sparks turned into English characters.
"That's a message from queen Anne's ravenge, the French fleet is 11 miles to the north." A pirate spoke after reading the message revealed by the firework.
"This should be the work of Blackbeard's magic." Another pirate added.
Sheyan walked up and looked at the firework in the sky for a second before turning to the pirates.
"Set sail towards the north." Sheyan ordered.
Pirates quickly rushed to their posts and controlled the ship to sail northward.
Other pirate ships also saw the message and rushed towards the north as fast as possible.
After sailing for a small while, Sheyan who was looking ahead saw the silhouettes of the ships moving together.
There were ten ships in total, 3 of which were heavy load merchant ship while the other seven were warships quite similar to the previous HMS victory in appearance.
The seven warships encircled the three merchant ships in the middle and protected them heavily.
While Sheyan analysed the fleet, another pirate ship quickly sailed from the behind.
One of the three legendary pirate ships, the wicked wench, also known as the fastest ship on sea, made its appearance, although the current Scarlett Twilight is a divine ship and is very fast even with its huge size but still it's not as fast this legendary ship, the wicked wench.
It's not because the divine ship is weak but because wicked wench's characteritics is that it will always be the fastest ship in his world.
A plot rule.
But Scarlett Twilight's current speed is only slightly slower than the wicked wench and there is not a big difference.
Not too far behind the wicked wench were other two legendary pirate ships the Flying Dutchman and the Queen Anne's revenge.
Sheyan ignored the three ships coming from behind and focused entirely on the Spanish fleet in front of him.
"Go straight ahead, crash with that merchant ship right in the centre, that one got the highest loot out of all of them." Sheyan commanded after observing the formation of the Spanish fleet.
Although the warships protected all three merchant ships, but the one in middle was clearly the most important because of its position. The area around that centre ship was in attacking range of all the warships and even the other two merchant ships. So if anyone dared to attack that ship then they will suffer the attack from all directions and will be annihilated instantly.
Not even the legendary ships can take on the attacks from ten ships at the same time without sinking to the bottom of the sea.
Sheyan's crew could also see that going to the centre of this formation is very dangerous but they didn't fear one bit and directly propelled the ship to sail forward.
In their hearts, as long as Sheyan is standing in front of them nothing could harm them, right now even if they were told to attack all the ships present here including the legendary ships they still wouldn't hesitate.
Behind Scarlett Twilight, more n more pirates ships appeared as the time went on.
When the pirates on these ships, saw the legendary ships they showed awe and fear but suddenly all of their attention got attracted by a huge ship sailing towards the French fleet without stopping at all.
"Whose ship is that? I have never seen this one before." A pirate asked to his companions.
"This ship... Why do I feel like kneeling down start worshipping it."
"It's giving off such a sacred aura."
Any pirate who looked at Scarlett Twilight felt the sacred aura being released from it, and exclaimed in surprise and confusion.
The three big pirates also saw the Scarlett Twilight and felt the divine aura, their eyes shone with light as they laid their sight upon the magnificent ship.
A greedy look flashed in the eyes of both Davy Jones and the Blackbeard.
"So that's the ship devouring ship huh! and this sacred feeling, it's the same as that light pillar albeit a little bit weaker than that pillar." Davy Jones spoke while examining the Scarlett Twilight.
On Queen Anne's revenge, Blackbeard also focused his gaze on the scarlett Twilight.
"Jiehahahaha, such magnificence, such divinity, this ship if collected by me, it will shine even better. Davy Jones, forgive me, but this ship now belongs to I." Blackbeard spoke in a greedy tone after praising the ship.
While both these big pirates were talking about Scarlett Twilight, other pirates present at the scene noticed a peculiarity and exclaimed in shock.
"Wha- what is that ship trying to do?" A pirate asked in shock.
"It's entering the formation of those warships!"
"Damn, which idiot be commanding this ship, is he a fool?!"
Davy Jones and Blackbeard also noticed the strangeness and their heart tightened.
"NOO!!! THAT KNOCKHEAD SON OF A CRUSTY BITCH! HE WILL GET THE DAMN SHIP DESTROYED!!" Davy Jones yelled in anger and tension.
Blackbeard's face also darkened and he commanded his subordinates to quickly rush towards the Spanish fleet.
On the other hand, Sheyan's ship smoothly entered the formation without any problem and calmly made its way towards the main merchant ship.
People on the warships and the merchant ships have also noticed this huge and magnificent ship and felt the divine aura it released.
Some commanding people were having worries after they saw it, but when they noticed that this ship actually dared to enter the formation rashly and was still moving towards the center, they marveled at the foolishness of the commander of this ship and thanked their lucky stars.
They decided not to attack until this ship entered the attacking range of all the ships and then annihilate it one Swift blow.
Due to this, Scarlett Twilight calmy entered the centre of the Spanish fleet and swiftly made its way towards the main merchant ship.
But When Scarlett was only 500 metres away from the main merchant ship, all of the ships around it opened their cannon frames and showed hundreds of cannon barrels. Each ship had atleast 32 Cannons on both of their sides. And now more than three hundred cold and dark Cannon barrels were aimed at one single ship.
Scarlett has finally entered the attacking range of all the ships.
Commanders of the individual warships and merchant ships sneered.
"Such a fool, let the destruction of your ship act as a warning to all those other idiots who are thinking about looting the treasures which doesn't belong to them." A commander spoke in disdain and ordered to fire the cannons along with other commanders.
*BOOM* *BOOOM *BOOOM*
Hundreds of cannon balls got launched towards the Scarlett Twilight from all directions. Pirates heard the sound of cannons and directly hid behind the solid objects around the deck calmly and showed smug smiles.
*BOOM* *BANG* *BAMM*
Hundreds of Cannon balls rained on Scarlett Twilight, most of them were aimed at its body and a small portion was aimed at the deck. Most of them landed on Scarlett without any fail and only some fell in the sea area around it, splashing huge waves which covered the Scarlett Twilight behind them.
Looking at the huge rain of Cannon balls, all the people present whether pirates or the Spanish soldiers sighed.
"Such a magnificent ship, but being under an moron brought it's destruction." The thought appeared in everyone's heart.
Davy Jones and Blackbeard gritted their teeth in anger and anguish. Both of them have regarded the ship in front of them as their possession and now looking at its unavoidable destruction they felt as though someone has stolen their most precious treasure or stepped on their dignity.
"Increase the speed dammit!" David Jones turned around angrily to order his subordinates, pirates nodded but suddenly their expression changed as though they have seen the most absurd thing in their life.
Davy Jones raised an eyebrow and quickly turned around once again, then he saw, the completely intact Scarlett Twilight, no not just completely intact but it looked like as though not even wood piece was chipped off after bathing in the hail of Cannon balls.
"What in the name of the god!?" Davy Jones mumbled in shock.
Not just Davy jones but all the people who saw the intact Scarlett Twilight had the disbelief written on their faces.
Except gasps of shock and turning of waves, no other sound could be heard in this huge sea area at all.
On the Scarlett Twilight, pirates came out of their hiding spots and sneered while looking at the warships around them.
They quickly rushed to their posts again and controlled the ship to sail towards the main merchant ship.
While the people present were still in shock, Scarlett quickly approached the merchant ship and softly crashed into it.
Scarlett Twilight shadowed the heavy load merchant ship beside it, although this merchant ship was very big compared to usual pirate ships but the current Scarlett was more than double in size compared to this merchant ship.
"Let's go yaro dono!!! Hahahhaha!" Sheyan laughed loudly and waved the black spirit sword in air. He grabbed a rope and rushed to the merchant ship while swinging from it.
"HOOOOOOO!!!!" Pirates hollered loudly in return and followed behind Sheyan.
"Charl Krist, stay on Scarlett and deal with the shrimps that dare to step foot on it." Sheyan's voice came after he crossed the whole deck and jumped down on the merchant ship.
"Yes sir!" Chark and Krist replied and stood behind in attention.
At this time, people present on the scene finally came out their stupor.
"GAHAHAHA! This ship is going to be my greatest treasure of all time." Davy Jones laughed loudly in excitement after he came out of his shock.
Blackbeard also showed an ecstatic expression when he saw the spectacle of the divine ship.
"Such a ship if commanded by me, it will shine even more."
Both of these big pirates have now become completely obsessed with the divine ship and sweared to possess it at any cost.
"Such a sturdy ship, just what is it made of?" The protagonist of this world, the future captain Jack sparrow also marveled at the strength shown by Scarlett.
By now, wicked wench has also entered the attacking range of a warship, all of the warships have fired one side of their Cannons at Scarlett and needs to be reload the Cannons before being able to fire them again but their other side still have the loaded cannons.
The warship fired cannon balls at the fast approaching wicked wench. But the wicked wench showed its agile movements and swiftly dodged most of the Cannon balls while quickly making its way towards the warship to enter a naval boarding battle.
(A/N: The naval boarding battle is when two ships come side by side and the people on deck fight with each other.)
The Flying Dutchman and Queen Anne's revenge also followed right behind and chose a warship each to fight.
Other pirate ships encircled the Spanish fleet and harrassed them by firing Cannon balls, while some of them rushed to the warships to fight naval boarding battle.
Sonorous roars, the sound of gunshots and firing of cannons filled this sea area and with this the historic battle between the pirates and the French fleet officially commenced.
