Tokyo, Japan
'Time sure flies when you're having fun, huh?' thought a 14 years old Sanosuke as he was getting ready to leave his house for his final day at Midoriyama Middle School.
He was now an extremely tall and muscular young man for his age, with a height of 6ft 7in tall & weighing in at 500lbs do to his impossibly muscular physique, gained after over 10 years of limit breaking exercises & training.
"Bye Mom! I'm heading out!" Called out Sanosuke, with an immediate reply from his mother Akane Hanma whom was sitting in the living room, balancing the Clan's & Dojo's ledgers.
"Okay! Have a good day dear. Make sure you stop by the dojo after you get out of school. Today we will be testing you to see how far you have improved since six months ago!"
Upon hearing this, Sanosuke's face broke out in a massive, wild and predatory looking grin. "Oh, believe me mom, I am looking forward to it! It's one of the few times I'm aloud to go all out anymore after all, and is the ONLY time I get to fight grandpa. Just thinking about that is making me all excited & getting my blood pumping!"
When Mrs Hanma heard her son's reply and the battle lust in it, she couldn't help but sigh in exasperation. "I swear, you are just like how your father was when he was alive. Biting at the bit for the next fight, searching for worthy opponents and being the ultimate adrenaline and battle junkie."
"Although at least you are doing well in school, unlike Yujiro at that age. He used to skip classes all the time back then to train. Almost caused him to fail and be held back each year too, if it weren't for the fact he was smart & me helping him study every week."
However, even as she was speaking somewhat negatively of her dead husband, it was impossible to miss the fondness, care, long and sadness in her face, body posture and voice.
Sanosuke stood still in the doorway just staring off into space, thinking of the day his father, Yujiro Hanma, died saving his 4 year old self and injured mother from All For One, when he had tried to use them as a hostage so he could get Nana Shimura to surrender.
That battle was caught live by a TV helicopter watching from the air, as Yujiro died taking down All For One alongside Nana, with Nana being the only one to survive the battle, with a missing right arm, crippled left leg and most of her bones broken too.
'Despite dieing a 'heroic' yet brutal death, his father Yujiro wasn't a hero, in fact he was a borderline villain, he definitely looked like a villain, smiling and laughing the entire time, having the time of his life in that death fight.'
'Honestly, I am pretty sure that he wasn't actually 'protecting' us, so much as he was angry somebody was trying to manhandle what he had claimed as His. But I really don't want to tell mom that and break her heart by dispelling the delusions she has of him. He's already dead anyways.'
It was with these thoughts in his head that Sanosuke bade his mother goodbye once more, before exiting the doorway and walking to school after shutting the door. But halfway to his destination another voice called out to him.
"Sanosuke! Wait for me!"
Hearing somebody calling out to him, Sanosuke paused in his steps before turning around ton see a tall, big boned, broad shouldered blond haired and blue eyes muscular male his own age.
"Oh, hey Toshinori. What's up?"
That's right, the blond was Toshinori Yagi, the current 8th Holder of One For All, Nana Shimura's successor, the future Number One Hero known as All Might and is Sanosuke's best friend and rival, albeit a friendly rivalry.
As soon as Toshinori caught up with Sanosuke, they continued walking on their way to Midoriyama Middle for the last day of class of their last year.
"I am doing well, thanks for asking. Anyways, do you have any plans after school today? I heard that the current Number One Hero, Gran Torino was in town today holding an open seminar. Do you want to come with me later?"
After Toshinori finished speaking, he looked at Sanosuke hopefully, only to have his hopes crushed as Sanosuke casually dismissed the notion before excitedly replying with a manic grin.
"Sorry, but I'm going to have to pass. Today I am getting an evaluation to see how far I've come in the past 6 months and if I do well enough, then I will be recognized as a Grandmaster. Which we both know I will crush that test easily. But that isn't why I'm not interested in going with you later."
"The reason why is because Grandpa Furinji will be there and it is he that I get to fight for my examination! This is the only time that I get to fight all out anymore! Just thinking about the upcoming fight, the exchanging of building obliterating blows at speeds exceeding sound, trying to pound the opponent into the ground with many different styles on the fly... Glorious!.
Hearing Sanosuke's battle thirst and nigh manic rant, caused Toshinori to shudder and swear drop, while the surrounding people quickly backed away from the massive, frightening walking mountain of muscle of a teen.
"You know, I sometimes forget just how much of an adrenaline and battle nut you are.... anyways, we are here now. I have to go to my homeroom or else I'll be late, I suggest you do so too or else suffer detention and miss your fight Furinji-Dono. See ya later."
Once he finished speaking, Toshinori quickly waved goodbye to his friend, then hightailing it to his class before Sanosuke could talk Toshinori into coming with him and sparring after he fights his grandpa, since Toshinori is one of the few people who can hold their own against Sanosuke's ferocity.
This snapped Sanosuke out of his daydream, before waving back to Toshinori and then heading to class himself, all while thinking to himself.
'Soon. Soon I will have the battle I have been dreaming of for months. I just need to get through this last day before I can go home. Just 8 hours... shit, I want today to hurry up and end already. Moreso than usual anyways.'
With that, Sanosuke walked into his homeroom and sat at his desk, all the while ignoring how his classmates did their best to stay out of his way and not attract his attention, before finally, the teacher came in to take rollcall.
'sigh.... It's gonna be a looking day.'
