Chapter New Valyria

Eragon was now in middle earth going through some of the reports, when Aule showed in burst of flames.

Eragon stood up and while giving a bow asked"What can I do for you, Lord Aule?"

Aule smiled and replied"The Valar have foreseen Dark times for the Targaryen's in the future, so we made a decision to bring back Valyria with your wife Rhaenyra as it's future ruler, since we know your wife does not want the Iron Throne."

Eragon was surprised hearing this and asked"So you want to bring back Valyria?"

Aule nodded and replied"No everyone is okay with decision, but Targaryen's are still needed and some of us belive, they can be better than the Valyrian's of the past."

Eragon sighed and asked"So how are we going to do this?"

Aule explained"We will clean out the place and until the city is fully rebuild, their will be a barrier making it look like the island is still giving off poisonous fumes.We will have to wait until the time is right for the world to see Valyria again."

Eragon was now really thinking about how the future would turn out with Valyria's return and he was pretty sure some of future upstart Targaryen's would try to claim right to Valyria.But he decided to think about this later.

When Eragon told this too Rhaenyra she was over the moon, also she it was really shocking for her that she was given this honor by the Valar.

But then came the question of successor for Iron Throne, Eragon questioned"Who is your choice, among Araxes and Jaeharys?"

Rhaenyra was really thought about this question, she was now a queen and needed to choose the most suitable successor for the Throne, she could't let her relationship with Otto or Allicent get in the way of this.

Rhaenyra sighed and said"Both are great candidates, Jaehaerys is calm, but at the same time strong personality.While Arraxes is slightly the same, but much more bolder."

Eragon nodded and questioned"What about their negatives?"

Rhaenyra answered"Arraxes is ruthless,he

quarrelsome, quick to take offense, slow to forgive and seemed to be influenced by Otto and Grover Tully."

Grover Tully was Arraxes grandfather, so obviously the man had influence over the boy.

Eragon agreed and added"Also I have heard his mental state is questionable."

Rhaenyra nodded she knew many fights and incidents with Arraxes,although both Otto and Grover tried to keep the incidents under wraps,Rhaenyra heard reports about them.

Eragon and Rhaenyra could understand having some influence was okay, but Araxxes was completely under the control of these two and Eragon noticed the boy seemed to have more traits of Maegor than Daemon ever did.

Both Allicent and Otto seem to ignorant or turning a blind eye to this issues.

Rhaenyra with groan said"I can't choose Jaehaerys.Since both competing against each other in the test,when they turn 19."

Eragon nodded as Rhaenyra continued"I want to see if Jaehaerys really meets my expectations and if Araxes mental state is deemed dangerous then, I will choose Jaehaerys."
