Sophia's little initiative in their marriage

Daniel stopped the car by the pharmacy and got down. Sophia looked at his figure puzzled. 'Is he hurt from the earlier fight?',she wondered and felt bad that she didn't even notice that when he fought for her sake.

After Daniel came back she was about to ask him about his injury when he took out the medicinal oil and poured it on his palms and held her arms in his hand.

He massaged the red marks which now were a little purple in shade. Sophia sat still, too taken aback to react. She observed his hands movement which was careful enough not to cause her more pain but ease the marks.

After he was done he looked satisfied seeing they faded a little due to blood circulation caused by the massage.

"I will rub it for you in morning again then you won't feel any pain.", Daniel said and Sophia nodded her head still looking at him.

"Thank you.", Sophia showed her gratitude but Daniel smiled and said, "You are my wife. If I won't do then who will." Sophia chuckled at his words.

Soon they reached home and Daniel asked Aunt Marry to get the luggage shifted to their room and went to have dinner with Sophia after freshen up.

At dinner Sophia told Daniel that she will be joining her company from tomorrow onwards and he nodded in understanding. After dinner they both went towards the bedroom.

"You can rest first. I will be away for a while. I have a conference call to attend from country R.", Daniel said and Sophia went to bed.

Daniel walked towards the study and made a call to Joe.

"I am ready. You can inform them about the start of meeting.", Daniel said to Joe.

"Yes sir.", Joe replied and contacted the ring leaders of mafia world.

Soon the call was connected and Daniel gave a green signal to the start of meeting.

"Sir we faced issues transporting our parcels many times in recent past.", Team 2 leader spoke.

"What do you suggest? Have you found a solution?", Daniel asked them. He isn't keeping useless people, so they better have come up with a solution already.

"Sir we came across a company that can do the bid for us. They have a 100% success rate so far. The only issue is that they navigate between both areas- legal and mafia. So we are not sure if we can trust them.", Team 3 leader spoke and Daniel asked for the details they have collected.

Daniel went through the files and then he came up with a decision but he wanted to know their views.

"Who all are ready to trust this Tout le Monde pvt ltd ? ", Daniel asked to the room full of people through the camera lens.

They raised their hands and almost more than half were ready to take a chance.

"I think they are more trustworthy than anyone. They didn't hide their job profile which shows how confident they are in their skills. Also since even government needs their help, then they are stable too in their venture.", Daniel spoke and everyone agreed on this point.

"Sign the deal. We will collaborate with them.", Daniel spoke and everyone nodded.

"What's next on agenda?" , Daniel asked. He didn't have time to waste here. He has a wife now and he would rather look at her sleeping face then to chat with these tough men.

"Sir the Russian mafia head is not an issue for now but we have observed some movements from the Italy side. They seem to be planning to usurp your throne.

Daniel laughed hearing this. He isn't sitting on this position because of some privileges. He had bloody earned it with blood and sweat. He would really like to see who has the guys to go against him.

And the meeting went on for some more time. Meanwhile Sophia asked Emily if she landed, as she said she will come by today's flight.

"I couldn't return yet. We have a deal almost. I will have to stay till tomorrow morning to know the final results. So I have shifted my tickets to tomorrow evening instead. So I will come early morning the next day.", Emily replied and Sophia sent an okay and kept the phone aside.

She licked up her laptop which she fetched today from home and dealt with some e-mails from the company and feeling tired she went to bed.

She was about to fall asleep when she felt the other side of bed sinking and she knew that Daniel was done with his work too.

She remembered waking up in his arms this morning and wanted to see if he will reach out to her. But he didn't . He just lay down and turned towards her. She could feel his eyes on her but he didn't reach out to bring her in his arms.

Sophia felt secure with him. She slept very peacefully yesterday despite of it being a foreign bed. So she decided to take a step in her marriage.

She opened her eyes and her grey orbs met his black ones. Daniel was taken aback seeing her still awake. He was so lost admiring her that he didn't pay attention to her breathing rhythm otherwise he would have sensed it earlier.

Daniel didn't look away even after being caught red-handed staring at her. Sophia shifted towards him and hugged him taking Daniel by surprise. She entwined her arms around her torso and kept her head on near his chest.

Daniel instinctively moved his arm below her head to support her head and provide her a comfortable position. He was left feeling thrilled by Sophia's move. Yesterday she hugged him in her sleep, that was a subconscious reaction but today , her acts were all thought out. She came to him on her own accord.

Daniel hugged her tightly but not so tight that it might suffocate her.

"Good night", Sophia said in sleepy voice and Daniel kissed her forehead and wished her back, "Good night."

They both slept peacefully in each other's embrace. This peace in each other's embrace was a step towards their long journey ahead.

People can find many partners but someone with whom you feel peaceful that's rare. Stumbling upon such a person is so rare that it brought a concept of soulmates. So one hardly finds their soulmate in their whole lifetime.

So cherish the persons who can make you feel at ease, their mere presence calms you down and you feel happy and peaceful in their company .
