Eugene vs Hunter! (Part-1)

[You've entered combat with Hunter.]

[The Effects of the Fortune & Misfortune Seeing Eyes will activate.]

The special effects of Eugene's eyes triggered before Hunter even raised his hand to punch him.

It not only showed him where Hunter would hit him but also told him where he must move to evade his attack.

Although Hunter's attack was fast and hard for an ordinary person to evade, Eugene, who had the Fortune & Misfortune Seeing Eyes, easily maneuvered his body out of its reach like a martial art expert.

Hunter's eyes widened in surprise as his fist went past Eugene's face and hit empty air.

Hunter didn't let the obvious difference between him and his opponent crush his fighting spirit, and he continued to throw jabs after jabs at him.

However, as if the spirit of the God of Boxing had possessed him, Eugene dodged every one of his punches, not even letting his knuckles scratch his skin or clothes.

It took only a minute for Hunter to lose his shit because of Eugene's godly dodging skill.

"What the heck? How can you react to my attack so accordingly?"

Hunter knew that although he was fat, his boxing skills were no joke.

He had even won a tournament in junior high.

Yet, now, he couldn't get a single hit in against Eugene.

Just what was going on here?

Was Eugene always this good at fighting?

He had heard his brother's underlings saying that Eugene was second only to his older brother in terms of strength but experiencing his combat skills told him that he was better than his brother.

Eugene teasingly smiled at him, "If I say I can read you like an open book, would you believe me?"

"Stop spewing bullshit and stop dodging if you're a man!" Hunter shouted and tried to strike him again. This time, however, Eugene stood still at his spot and let the punch creep toward him. Just as it was about to land on him, he raised his hand and grabbed it, startling Hunter, who was unable to believe that a person his age had grabbed his fist.

"As you wish."

Eugene responded to his previous words.

Hunter's shock at having his fist grabbed by a teenager had only started to die down when Eugene punched him in the gut, causing him such immense pain that he gasped for air.

Believing that this single hit wasn't enough to deal with Hunter, Eugene hit his chin with an uppercut.

As a result, Hunter stumbled away from him with unsteady steps while feeling hurt and dizzy.

"Are you ready to talk?"

"I've nothing to say to you."

Eugene thought that the kid would calm down and sort his differences with him peacefully, yet contrary to his expectations, Hunter bit his lips to clear his confusion, quickly stabilized himself, and tried to grab him with his hands.

His actions dissatisfied Eugene greatly, who quickly slipped past his outreaching hands and landed a solid kick in his gut.

"Ugh!"

Because he was unable to dodge his attack, Hunter's face not only twisted in pain, but he also dropped to his knees.

'I only punched him lightly in the guts in self-defense, yet he's acting as if I had thrown him twenty meters across the street! Hunter is seriously too much of a weakling. No wonder he died early in the game.' Seeing how he had so easily defeated him with a few moves, Eugene couldn't help but label Hunter as a weakling no better than a worm.

Hunter puked out his breakfast.

Eugene stepped back from him in disgust.

"Your brother is a monster who had preyed on the innocent mind of many unsuspecting people. I believe you know that too, yet here you are, trying your best to turn a blind eye to all his misdeeds and avenge him by harming me. Do you not know that he deserves what I did to him? You, though, are different from him. I've seen you feeding cats and paying money to the victims of your brother's abuse. You can't deny that you've got a good heart. Even living with monsters didn't change you. So far, you've not done anything to wrong others. Anyway, Allen isn't worth your efforts. Don't throw away your life for him. You'll get nothing out of hurting me. I will turn a blind eye to what you just tried to do to me. So, go away and attend your classes like normal."

Eugene told Hunter to bug off in a kind tone, but he wasn't being kind to him for no reason. Hunter had never hurt anyone. He was a kind soul. Eugene knew that Hunter was among the first group of humans to enter the tower and lucky enough to be one among ten thousand humans to awaken the power to heal.

What did that mean?

Hunter had the potential to become a healer that could save the life of even a seriously injured man.

Eugene wanted to change the future for the better. For that reason, he wanted to protect many humans with miraculous abilities and form a super team with them.

Hunter happened to be on his list.

But this person considered him his enemy.

Eugene knew that the only way he could bring him onto his side was by taming him with an ancient method.

He would beat him a good few times and also provide him with sweet carrots every now and then until he submits to him!

After hearing his words, Hunter's face froze. "What do you know about him?" He lashed out at him. "You don't know what caused him to become like that! How dare you judge him when you don't know shit about him!"

Hunter raised his head to set his eyes full of hostility on Eugene.

"Oh, I know," Eugene uttered calmly, breaking off the intense atmosphere around them with two words.

At his words, Hunter chuckled, "Would you believe the unreasonable words of your enemy if you were in my shoes?"

Eugene shook his head, "No, but I really do know what caused him to end up psychotic. Isn't it your stepfather?"

At his words, Hunter's eyes widened, and he became horrified out of his mind beyond belief.

Why is Hunter here to fight Eugene for his brother?

And why is Eugene going easy on him?
