Sports Class

"You can't skip Sports class today." Layla said to the boy who was planning to skip the sports period again. Placing both of her hands on her hip, she didn't stop her complaints. "Just because of you, I have to come up with a new excuse every time sir asks about you. Do you even have any idea how much he misses you." Her last sentence was filled with sarcasm.

Seeing her firm stance, Ryan sighed. He knew no matter what he couldn't escape today. Like a tired person, he replied in defeat. "Fine, I'll go to the ground."

"At least let him know you are fit and fine." After finishing her piece of advice she left, trusting his words.

-Sports Ground-

On the ground, students were engaged in many sports. Some were playing to their heart's content, some were forced to take part in some activities like how Ryan was asked to do laps on the ground as soon as he came on the teacher's radar.

Today, Layla was observing everyone like a bystander. "Are you not going to play?" She said seeing Ryan come her way soaked in sweat. Though Ryan had completed the so-called warm-up, he wasn't in the mood of playing a single game. Well, he is always not in the mood to play any game.

He shook his head in denial.

"*Yawn* Today, I also don't wanna play." She was tired and she doesn't want to exhaust herself more.

Layla and Ryan were standing there doing nothing. Ryan already had completed running on the track and does not want to do it anymore. And for some reason, the teacher also stopped paying attention to him.

"Did you know kissing can also burn some calories." She spoke, breaking the silence.

'There she goes again.' He complained in his heart about this habit of hers. "Do you want to try?" She looked at him with a scowl on her face.

"I thought you wanted to try it, you know…" She said, suggesting something vague.

"Shut up, others will misunderstand." He tried to terminate the topic.

She snorted. 'Of course, they'll misunderstand since you don't wanna speak the truth.' Roaming her eyes, she asked, "Why hasn't he noticed you yet?"

Now, he thinks about it, sir should have noticed him standing and would've made him do something else too. But...

It didn't take them long to notice that there was something strange going on the ground. The girls were not paying attention to their own game, so were the boys too.

They found everyone was looking at the basketball ground. Some boys were playing there. But that wasn't the reason for the disturbance. The real reason was Zou Haoran. He was also playing with them.

He was remarkable. His moves were swift. He was moving fast while dribbling the ball, raising scores frequently.

His game was so good that it attracted boys' attention as well as their teacher was enjoying it. As for girls, they were seeing more than just a game. Their eyes were sparkling seeing a hot stud under the sun. His sweat was dripping, singing about his well-maintained body. His moves were giving them mini heart attacks.

"He is exceptionally good at sports." Ryan commented.

"Also good at using his tongue to deal with others." Well, there's no doubt about that too. "He can be a good option."

-Student Council Room-

*Yawn*

*Yawn*

"What's wrong with you two?" Ryan was curious seeing both the girls yawning too much. They were disturbing his thoughts with their contagious yawning.

"Yesterday night, my old roommate gave me a shocking news." Lani complained.

Ryan raised his eyebrows looking at Layla before turning to Lani. His expression was indicating to tell him more.

"She told me that she took a part-time job at a coffee shop. Can you believe that!?"

"You're fifteen!" It wasn't a question but a statement.

"I'm soon-to-be sixteen. And, you can't tell my real age by looking at me." Well, no one would call her a fifteen-year-old girl at least.

"You need to be humble... with others." A part-time job that does not require education qualification could be of a lower post.

"I'm not that headstrong." Layla rolled her eyes. At least she does not cause trouble, she simply tackles them.

"I just hope this won't create any trouble." It was hard to tell whether he was talking about her or the customers that would come across her. "How did you get this job?"

"Oh, that's because yesterday when I saw the notice, I took a gamble. I found out that they just wanted someone to work in the evening for a few months due to their personal reasons."

*Yawn*

"This… caused you a sleepless night too." Ryan was still baffled. It might be a little bit difficult to accept but then why Layla was also yawning.

"Our new roommate was crying in the early morning. She was homesick." Layla answered.

"It was 3:30 in the morning," Lani grumbled.

"New roommate…?" Ryan was wondering. Was it really possible for those kids to live in the hostel?

"Opal Jin. She joined my class today along with Caleb Lin." Lani informed them about the change that occurred in the morning.

"A student named Zou Haoran joined our class."

"Well, they are exactly those three students I met yesterday."

"Lani, here's a task for you. Bring Caleb Lin and Opal Jin to the canteen. I want to meet them. I need to select a secretary as soon as possible." Layla made up her mind to meet them. She also wanted a suitable secretary for herself. "Will you meet them, President?"

"Since you wanted to test them, I have no problem. After all, sooner or later we might have to pay attention to them." Both the girls agreed with Ryan. Even if none of them would become her secretary, it won't eliminate the fact that they are a little different from the rest of the students.

'I might also find a discipline in charge.' She yawned again. 'Should I sleep in the infirmary?'

The room again filled their yawning.
