Ch.7. Pangean human culture and the beast of pangea. ( World building )

The humans inhabiting Pangea have no average or uniform society. Each tribe has its unique customs, some may be similar in structure but they may have completely different cultures.

The normality we associate with current modern society does not exist here.

With that in mind, there is some general information you should know. The majority of humans are in a tribal stage of society, however, there was a small minority of humans who made an empire. The empire was not very sophisticated but it was powerful.

After all, a group of super-powered humans forming a country would always be strong. However, they all have a little bit of a, how should I put it, arrogance to them.

Along with that most of pangean human culture is based on the worship of the Daemons that brought them to Pangea. Such as ritualistic sacrifice to the gods or spirits, a festival at the beginning and the end of the month.

Now, onto the beasts. If I had to describe them in one word it would be, Death. The vast majority of the beasts here were on the level of the hydra Hercules will kill. The reason being, that the hydra was a pangean beast that escaped.

Of course, it would be. After all, a dragon that can regrow its heads infinitely is not the most life-preserving animal. Such as it was born, it was a normal beast. Though, some animals were just summoned to Gaia, while most simply weren't strong enough to leave.

Do keep in mind a normal human would die in Pangea simply from the amount of life energy and the magic power of all things that live here. There is no doubt about that, but now you may be wondering how humans are here if they would die from the wildlife and food they eat.

Simple, they were given protection by the gods. The god's protection warded off the beasts and allowed the human bodies to acclimate to Pangea after a few dozen generations.

Some beasts have started to take human forms to avoid getting hunted so often by humans. Yet they still retain the ability to return to their bestial forms, granting them a minor level of shapeshifting.

These beasts just so happen to be some of the most dangerous types, due to their ability to infiltrate tribes and kill most of them when they sleep.

Most beasts have also taken to venomous spines or fur, except for the reptiles that just have fangs. Too bad for them that this makes them a prime target for human hunting.

Now, under no circumstances should this be tested but, some beasts are the demigods of various pantheons of gods and they also happen to have any special powers that could be given to a human if they eat part of its flesh.

For example, there is a lion in the scorching deserts that is the son of a local god that had the ability to subjugate any being to conform to its will.

The lion inherited this trait from his father and used it to control all the beasts in the desert. But the lion has also had encounters with humans, so many in fact that part of its gut is missing because a human cut it off and are it.

The human who did this just so happens to be the king of the empire. This was the reason he was able to form the empire, he gained the lion's ability to control things and used it to form the empire.
