"Avoided?"
Im's eyes widened in disbelief. Can Uranus' attacks be dodged?
It was well-known that even the most skilled in Observation Haki couldn't predict Uranus' strikes. Its attacks were instantaneous, leaving no time to react. Those who had seen Uranus' attack never survived, and those unfamiliar with it could never anticipate its method.
It was impossible to defend against. Even if one knew the attack's pattern, avoiding it required teleportation and the ability to predict its trajectory in advance. But even that came down to luck.
To dodge Uranus' attack, one had to teleport the moment it launched—no time to react or think. But Finn had done just that. Was it luck? No—Finn had planned this meticulously.
Each time Finn had died, a piece of him had been left behind—an arm, a leg, or a fragment of his body. Every single piece had been marked with the Flying Thunder God seal, each strategically placed around Im in a pattern that covered nearly all of his possible attack zones. These locations formed a perfect grid, ensuring Finn could teleport to any position, close or far from Im.
After each death, Finn had laid the groundwork for his next move. The Flying Thunder God technique was his secret. As soon as Finn revived, he teleported to one of these marked spots. The first time he dodged Uranus, he anticipated that it would automatically track him and launch another attack. He was right.
When Finn used the Flying Thunder God again, he disappeared from his last position just as the light beam arrived. Uranus' attack missed.
Im's face tightened with shock. Not only had Finn dodged Uranus' attack once, but now he had done it twice. Once could be coincidence, but twice? That wasn't luck—it was skill.
Finn didn't stop there. He continued to use the Flying Thunder God, teleporting again and again, faster than Im could react. With every teleportation, Finn left behind a blur of afterimages, each one barely visible before he vanished again. The more Finn used the technique, the faster he moved, creating dozens of afterimages across the battlefield.
It was like an explosion of movement. At first glance, it seemed like there were dozens of Finns, each one surrounded by blinding white rays of light. Finn's precision and timing were flawless, and the Uranus ball struggled to keep up. Every time Finn moved, the Flying Thunder God seal was replenished, ensuring he could teleport again.
Finn's strategy became clear: he intentionally placed himself in Im's blind spots, keeping the Uranus ball constantly in motion. As soon as the ball was behind Im, Finn would teleport directly in front of him, forcing the Uranus ball to circle around. The ball was fast, but it was still a step behind.
With every successive teleportation, Finn's movements grew more unpredictable. He was always in motion, never in the same spot for more than a moment. Im was forced to stay alert, constantly shifting his focus, unable to relax.
Then, Finn saw his opening. He teleported to a spot just a meter away from Im, putting him within striking range. Im reacted instantly, lowering his head to avoid Finn's incoming blade.
But the moment Im dodged, Uranus fired its attack, hitting Finn—but it was a mere afterimage!
Finn had already teleported again, and again, and again, each time just out of reach of Uranus' beams. The faster he moved, the more disoriented Uranus became.
Then, in a split second, Finn appeared directly next to Im's side. His blade, Yan Mo, glowed with the full force of his Armament Haki. With a swift motion, he slashed at Im's neck, calculating the perfect time to strike.
The attack hit, and nearly two-thirds of Im's neck was severed in one clean cut. Im staggered, clutching his throat as blood poured from the wound. He tried to maintain his balance, but his head hung precariously, barely attached.
Before Im could react, the Uranus ball fired again, blasting Finn into dust.
But Finn wasn't done. As his body broke apart, he reappeared from the shadow world, standing in mid-air. The Uranus ball circled aimlessly, its targeting system failing as it floated, disoriented.
Finn teleported once more, reappearing beside Im. This time, he raised Yan Mo high. With a swift motion, he slashed once more, cleanly severing Im's head from his body.
Im's head rolled across the ground, his body crumpling beneath him. Finn's calculated moves had brought him victory.
