Alabasta Palace, Royal Gardens, Basement of the Funeral Hall.
With excitement, Robin translated the historical text and wrote the contents down in a small notebook.
"Is this the historical text? It's incredible!" she exclaimed.
Nami looked at the massive stele in front of her and tried scratching it with her dagger, but found no traces at all!
She turned to Robin, curiosity evident in her eyes. "Sister Robin, what does it say?"
"Go, go, go~" Finn's hand shot out like lightning, pinching Nami's cheek. "Why ask so many questions? Focus on your navigation skills. When my warship sets sail, it'll be up to you!"
Nami rubbed her cheek, pouting. "Since you depend on me, why don't you treat me better?"
"Our young master is very kind to us," Tashigi said with a smile, coming over to hug Nami.
After Finn recorded the historical text, he turned to Robin. "Master Finn, would you like to know what it says?"
Finn shook his head. "No need. I'm not interested in Pluton."
"Oh~"
"Ah!?"
Robin's eyes widened in horror. "Master Finn, do you... know the content of this historical text?"
Only someone like her could decipher these texts.
Finn nodded. "I know the general content, but not the specifics. However, I'm not interested in it. I'm only curious about the blank period from eight hundred years ago. As for this weapon of destruction, let it remain in history's shadows."
Robin froze. Despite her initial wariness, she had been anxious about Finn's intentions, especially since Crocodile had also sought the text for its Pluton information.
To her surprise, Finn was not interested in the Pluton at all.
Feeling guilty, Robin approached Finn with a flushed face and bowed her head. "Master Finn, I owe you an apology."
"I suspected you just now… um!—"
Before she could finish, Finn placed his hand gently on Robin's head.
Robin's eyes widened in shock.
Finn shook his head and smiled. "We've only known each other for a day. It's understandable that you had doubts, so there's no need to apologize. As we spend more time together, you'll see there's nothing to worry about."
Robin felt a strange warmth in her heart. Though Finn was clearly younger, he exuded a care that made her feel as if she were the one in need of protection.
What's wrong with me?
A flush crept up Robin's neck.
"Is something wrong, Sister Robin? Your face is red," Nami asked, hopping over with concern.
Robin quickly responded, "Oh! I... I'm fine. Just feeling a bit..."
"What's the matter?" Nami's curiosity was piqued.
"Nothing… it's nothing," Robin stammered, trying to avoid sharing her inner thoughts.
After regaining her composure, Robin changed the subject. "By the way, Master Finn, I must tell you something."
Finn looked at her.
Robin continued, "The behind-the-scenes boss of Baroque Works is actually Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He seems to be planning something big against this country."
"A big conspiracy?" Finn's smile remained.
"Just arrest him?" he suggested casually.
"Arrest him???" Robin was horrified. "Master Finn, Crocodile is a Seven Warlord of the Sea. There's an agreement with the Marine. Your grandfather, Garp, shouldn't take action against him."
Robin was aware of Garp's presence in Alabasta and the associated agreement.
Finn shrugged. "Why should my grandfather take action? Can't I handle it myself?"
"You!??"
Robin was taken aback.
She looked at Finn, astonished. "Master Finn, you might be underestimating the strength of the Seven Warlords of the Sea."
"Yes! They're said to be incredibly powerful, far stronger than pirates like Arlong! You shouldn't be impulsive!" Nami chimed in, clearly concerned.
She pulled Tashigi into the conversation. "Tashigi, you should persuade the young master! He can't go against them alone!"
Tashigi looked puzzled.
While others might not know Finn's strength, she did.
Isn't Hawkeye, the greatest swordsman in the world, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea? And didn't he lose to the young master's sword?
If Finn hadn't asked her to keep it quiet, she would have bragged about it everywhere!
Tashigi spoke up, aligning herself with Finn. "I believe the young master is right. Crocodile, as a Seven Warlord, has endangered this country and committed heinous acts. He must be brought to justice!"
"Alright, since the two of you don't want to stay behind, let's go," Finn said, pulling Tashigi along.
"Huh?" Nami pouted and grabbed Finn's other arm. "Then I'm going too!"
"And you, Robin?" Finn asked, turning to look at her.
Robin took a deep breath, her resolve clear. "I doubted you before, but now I have no doubts. Whether your decision is right or wrong, I will stand with you!"
