A kind Vigilante

Viktor sat on the couch, wiping Kikoku with a stone as he watched TV.

Basically just the news and some other stuff.

Couldn't be helped!

There was almost no anime or manga in this world.

What there was, was just pure garbage. Viktor reckoned that he'd make a ton of money making comic books, manga, and anime, except… He didn't know how to draw! Or animate for that matter…

So the idea was shelved for the time being.

Fortunately, there was always something going on in the world.

Like, just the other day, there was a huge Green Monster attack somewhere in Asia or something.

He didn't know, he wasn't really paying attention to the specific place, but the Hulk was a sensation!

Everyone was talking about him.

As Viktor was doing maintenance on his sword, the news changed to a presentation by Stark Industries.

Viktor watched with relish as Tony's life was shown in detail. He was very happy to see this, after all, Ironman was his fav- second favorite Superhero!

Viktor thought about this and sighed again, unfortunately he never got the chance to meet Logan!

Speaking this far, Viktor had some extreme views on Mutants and Superheroes as a whole.

As far as he knows, Erik and Charles did in fact split.

And Charles was, in fact, crippled.

Viktor just didn't know why they didn't come to him for help. He was quite upset by this actually, he thought they were friends…

At any rate, regarding Charles and Erik's views on the world, Viktor can only say 'half and half'.

In his opinion, Charles was too soft and Erik was too hard.

One wanted to live harmoniously with Humans and the other wanted to eradicate them for good.

How could this work? They were doomed from the start.

His wife was a Mutant so he was very invested in Mutant related news…

There were actually several ways to fix the Mutant problem forever!

Unfortunately, they would never work because no one would agree.

At any rate, Viktor wasn't Thanos, nor was he a selfless good guy.

He had a family, what's the problem with living peacefully?

Viktor stopped his thoughts and continued watching the program, changing the Sharpening stone to a sheet of paper, gently wiping it along the blade edge.

He absentmindedly wondered about Kikoku and his powers when he suddenly received a message!

[Kikoku is a Supreme Grade Knife. It can be raised a rank by Blackening just as any One Piece Sword]

[Other Powers are also obtainable through the System, rest assured Host.]

Viktor asked mentally, "How?"

[Please find out for yourself, Host]

Viktor was secretly speechless, this was the most irresponsible System ever, right? He shook his head and left his worries behind. Just Law's fruit was enough for him. He wasn't greedy for other powers, after all, he wasn't going to challenge gods and demons, leave it to the Superheroes…

Besides…

Was it very fun to travel through space fighting all the time? While fighting was very exciting, spending time with his little bear was much better!

Sometimes he even had dreams of having a few kids and living happily.

This was his biggest dream, he didn't want to be a Super God fighter across the universe… He just wanted a little corner to his own so he could have a little family and die of old age.

Was that too hard to ask for?

Evidently, yes!

Emma called sweetly "Big Bear~ Dinner!" Viktor's eyes burst with splendor and he teleported into the kitchen, sitting down excitedly as he placed Kikoku against his chair.

He didn't even bother asking the System what was after Supreme Grade. He didn't care at all!

His wife's hamburger steak was the best in the whole world!

Emma placed the plates down and sat across from Viktor, smiling gently.

Viktor looked at her and sighed "What a perfect wife! I must've saved the world in my last life!" Emma giggled and pointed out "Actually, you got smashed to death by garbage!"

Viktor's face turned green and he coughed, saying seriously "Who told you that? I obviously saved a little girl who saved the world!" Emma covered her mouth and laughed "Oh, right! I forgot, how silly~"

Viktor nodded seriously, saying "It's okay, I forgive you." Emma laughed and they started eating, talking about random things.

Apparently, Emma found quite a few mutants at the school she teaches at. She was thinking about teaching them to use their powers but was nervous about being found out.

Viktor was happy and told her that she should do it if she wanted to. If there were any problems, he would take care of it. Even suggesting to use their backyard instead of the school to avoid any mishaps.

Emma's eyes lit up but she said "I'm sorry, Big bear. We'll have less time to practice." Viktor grinned and replied "Don't worry! I will help you! I don't know much about Mutant Abilities and how to train them, but when it comes to the body, nobody knows better than me!"

He really wasn't bragging.

Maybe he didn't have all the medical knowledge in this world, but he had all of One Piece's and most of normal Earth's.

Or rather, Earth-1218!

At any rate, Viktor was more than happy to help and Emma appreciated him greatly.

What was a loving husband? This was, right?!

The next day

Viktor came down to the Clinic while whistling with Kikoku on his shoulder. He spun the keys to the clinic on his finger before opening the door as usual. He opened the doors and turned on the sign as he opened up shop.

Just as he was about to check out the little devil in the back, he noticed a note on the front desk along with an envelope. Viktor opened the envelope and whistled at the stack of bills before reading the letter.

'Thank you very much for treating me. I hope this can cover the costs. -Daredevil'

Viktor held the note and money before shaking his head and putting them both in a desk drawer.

The main reason was that 1 it was too much money, and 2 he wasn't expecting payment.

It was a literal wave of the hand…

Viktor went on with his day and continued treating the seemingly never ending patients.

He was quite happy at this job, since he was in Hell's Kitchen there was a never ending stream of people.

People of all walks of life too!

Gangs, churches, schools, civilians, evil people, good people, etc.

Viktor usually charged the bad guys more and the good people less, as for the poor people, it was basically free.

They didn't have money anyway, was he supposed to take their organs as payment?

Please!

He didn't have a place to sell organs!

Suddenly, he heard a Ding in his brain!

[Congratulations for treating Matt Murdock (Daredevil)- 1 Lottery Ticket]
