Jarvis: "Sir. Sir!" - "I'm awake. I'm awake. Man I just took a quick nap what's the noise for?" - "That's the emergency alert triggered by the power dropping below 5%" - "What! Why, how?" - "The main reactor was damaged during the attack.
I looked forward to see a road quickly approaching me.
Magic, shields, nano weapons to slow me down. None of it worked as I got bounced and bashed off the first through trees to land in a field of snow.
I turned over and pulled off the face mask. "I hate old suits. I have none of my cool toys."
Jarvis: "At least we made it to Tennessee." I leaned forward slightly to see where I am before I layed back down. "How long do I have before your fully out?" - "Any, moment now." I sighed as I commanded the suit to open up. I got out of the suit and instantly felt the cold hit me.
I looked at my wrist and felt a little relief. I touched the bottom of the band and pulled out a tent.
Once on the ground I touched a button and it built itself.
I pulled out a rope and pulled the armor into the tent.
I sat it up on a work bench and layed my head on the table. Jarvis Materialized next to me. "Are you okay, Sir?" - "Yes. A lot just happened. My save my house plan completely failed." - "It mostly did at first." - "I didn't make the shoot outside wide enough. Why didn't I think of that. And, and. Now I have another daughter. Just great. Jarvis. I think you should just finish this fix and mission for me." - "Unfortunately, sir, I'm not built for such a thing."
I let out a laugh at his humor.
"Bring me a phone. I need to send a message to Pep, and Jess." - "Here you go sir."
- "Stark secure server, now transferring to all known receivers." - "Pep, Jess. It's me. I'm sorry I couldn't be as reliable as I promised I would be. I had a plan, and it.. it didn't go as planned and I'm sorry I put you both in danger. And Mia, that, that took me by surprise. I want to be there to help, but I can't leave. Theirs someone I need to meet here. Someone to save. Be weary of Maya. Just trust me and keep your suits on, they will keep you safe. I love you both, and I'll be home as soon as I can."
I put down the phone and looked at Jarvis. "Let's get to work. I need to replace my reactor on the suit so I can use it. Shit." - "What is it sir?" - "Even if I fix it, I can't use it to safe Mrs. Davis. It's not a Nanite suit. I'll be obvious. I'll have to rely on magic." - "Your just as strong with magic as you are with your suit, it still should be easy."
I went to call something to me with magic when pain shot up my arm. "Right. Whatever he put on me stops me from accessing my magic. I can't catch a break!" - "Maybe we can look at it and take it off. You are a master in Magical tech." - "You're right." I got up to scan the device and hopefully find a way to turn it off or preferably take it off.
.
.
I pull the sleeve over the bracelet, as I walked towards the bar since I couldn't take the damn thing off.
As I was messing with the cuffs I ran into a redhead and knocked something to the ground out of her hands.
I bent down to pick it up. "Hey. Lady. You dropped something." She turned and grabbed it. Then the wind blew her hair and I instantly realized her.
Hello, unfortunately you won't be in the land of the living for much longer.
"I like your hair color. It suits you." - "Thanks. Nice jacket." We stood in silence for a moment, but she broke it. "Well you have a nice evening." - "You as well."
I walked in and wondered around until I spotted Mrs. Davis near the pool table.
"Mrs. Davis.. Do you mind if I join you?" - "Free country." - "Do to special people."
I sat down and I immediately could tell she didn't want to be there. "Alright. We're do you want to start?" - "I want to start by saying, I agree with you and I know it wasn't his fault. He was setup, and that's wrong. I'll try to fix that." - ".. look, I brought your damn file. You take it, go. Whatever was in here, he wanted no part of it."
I took the file and opened it up. "I see. I do need this file, but I think you're waiting for another person."
I moved some photos and seen M.I.A bingo. That's why I let Rhodey repaint my suit. I needed a in to A.I.M. As a just in case.
"Look. I can't tell you how or why, but I know your son was used. None of this was his fault."
Her eyebrows raised. "You said that before. What do you mean.. You aren't the person who call me are you?"
A babe got slammed on the table. "Actually, I am."
The red head grabbed my arm and tried to swing it behind my back but I fought back and didn't allow it to budge.
I might not have my suits, or my magic but I still have tech. I slightly altered the Nanites in my system to increase my strength, and slack on the healing process momentarily for moments like this.
Sheriff: "Whoah, Whoah, Whoah. What's going on here?" - "It's called a arrest."
Failing to cuff me she threw me against the wall. But before I left my seat I put the set of dog tags in my pocket from the file. "Sheriff, is it?" - "Yes, ma'am it is. And you are?" - "Homeland security. We good here?" - "No, we're not good here. I need a little more information than that." - "Well, I I think it's a little above your pay grade, Sheriff."
Mrs. Davis relized something was off and threw the file under a table.
Sheriff: "Well the why don't you get on the horn to Nashville and, uh. Upgrade me?" - "All right. You know what? I was hoping to do this the Smart way, but, uh, the fun way is always good."
Her hand glowed orange clearly heating up the badge.
Sheriff: "Deputy, get this."
When she moved her hand to smash it into the sheriffs face I grabbed a fork and threw it into her heated up hand.
"Hey, I'm surprised that stuck in your arm."
She ignored the sheriff and took two steps towards me before I over turned the table and kicked it towards her.
I ran outside the door but slowed down to make sure she stayed on me. "Come on Kim Possible show me what moves you got."
I turned to run down the street to get away from civilians when I ran into Eric. "Shit. I forgot I didn't kill you. Care to tell me how this device works?" As I held up my wrist.
He just smiled and dumped his coffee.
"Such a waste."
I ran back towards the town and ducked behind a car, to see a man laying on the road. "Crazy right?" - "Yep." - "Unfortunately, this is getting normal. Enjoy you crazy free life as much as you can. I'd also run. A crazy red head is on the lose."
I got up and ran through a window while covering my face. I turned back to the window to see Kim Impossible aiming a shotgun at me.
I jumped behind the counter and watched some shots make it through. I looked through a hole and didn't see her until I moved to look in another hole to see her in my face.
She pinned my arms against my legs with one hand and help my face with another.
A humongous pain, ran through my arm before a blast of energy through her back to the entrance.
"Painful. But helpful." I guess it's not completely gone, good to know.
I jumped through the serving window, back to the kitchen. I kicked the oil to the door and realized I had nothing to light it with so I just quickly put the dog tags in the microwave, and broke the gas line.
As she walked through the door with a smile I stood up and smiled as well. "Come on, Kim Possible. You can do better then this." - "I don't even know who that is." I looked at the microwave. "Then you are really missing out. Unfortunately we are out of time. I'll see you on the up."
I ran and took cover behind the Ice freezer door as the building exploded.. my ears rang for a moment before they healed back to normal as I dropped the door. I walked out the back in a slight daze hating my situation I put myself for a moment.
I heard metal creaking and I didn't even have to turn to realize what it was. I looked and let out a long dramatic sigh, then ran at the fence and hoped over it as the water tower fell washing me onto my ass.
I stood up, wiped the water off my face and looked right at Eric. "I hoped you died in the Helecopter." - "I hoped you'd drown. I guess we both are disappointed. Now where's my Goddamn file." - "Who knows. Red riding hood had it last time I seen it." I looked up at the power lines were she layed. "Ops."
I paused for a moment before he chucked. "You had me for a moment. You really did." - "Did I? That was my goal." I double tapped the watches glass and it turned into a gauntlet, and I fired one into his chest.
I walked up to him and took his car key. "I really wished that would kill you. But I know it won't. Unfortunately for me, but luckily for you don't have the firepower to do such a thing at the moment." I started to walk away. "Thanks for the ride though."
sorry for missing a week. I honestly lost track of time.
enjoy the chapter.
