Her body suddenly stiffened at the sight of the man in front of her. 'How dare you show your face here?!' Lana's face clouded in anger.

David Anthony was there, smiling at her. The smile on his face irritated Lana more.

"What do you think you're doing here?!" Lana glared at him.

"What do you mean by asking me that question Lana?" David scoffed the sly smile still on his face. "Roselle is missing and I'm here to help find her. After all, she's my fiance-to-be."

Lana scoffed at David calling himself Roselle's fiance. "What help do you think you can render here? Tell me, will coming here to sit and talk with the workers help solve the problem? You should be out there in the street with the police searching for her not here if really you're helping!"

"Now tell me Lana, Roselle is your sister, what have you done to find her? Tell me what have you done?! Are you out there in the street looking for her?!"

Lana almost shivered at David's voice but controlled herself and retorted. "David, I know you've always been looking for a way to get into Roselle's company. I know your plans David and you will never get to succeed!"

"What do you mean by that? What are you trying to insinuate?! Are you accusing me of something you did?" David asked pretending as if he didn't know what she was accusing him of and he needed her to spill it out so he could use it immediately against her. But Lana was smart enough to drop the statement there.

"You know what I mean by what I'm saying don't pretend to be naive."

David laughed mischievously "Lana, Lana, Lana." David said in a sing-song voice while still keeping the mischievous smile on her face.

"David, I'm giving you just one minute to get yourself out of here," Lana ordered in a calm voice that showed nothing but resentment.

"Oh, one minute? I thought it would be one second." David laughed harder. "I don't know why you hate me, Lana, maybe you're jealous that I'm after your sister and not you." David cunningly brought in a topic.

"Jealous? What made you have that thinking David? Maybe you've been dreaming about it, hahaha. Sorry, you're not my type, hahaha" Lana's joke made the workers who had gathered around watching them argue giggle or chuckle while pointing fingers at David. They were whispering and nodding at Lana as they defended her.

Mila who had been silent joined in the laughter.

Turning around David saw the mockery looks that people had on their faces towards him. His face frowned in deep displeasure as he taught as he groaned at Lana. "Laugh all you can, Lana, it's just a matter of minutes to wipe that smile off your face. We shall see who will laugh last in the end."

"What are you going to do to remove the smile huh? Are you gonna kidnap me too? Now speaking of kidnapping, you should be interrogated about that. Roselle had a date with you yesterday she was kidnapped, David..."

"Now watch what you're about to say, woman!" David interrupted, his eyes flaming in more rage. His quaking finger pointed at her like his fingers were enough to slit her throat if he wanted to. Even the hair on his body had risen in the anger that had reached even to the black Chelsea boots on his feet.

"Watch what I'm going to say. Now your gonna hear it!" Lana turned to attract all attention to her so she can make her announcement. "Listen to me, everyone. Yesterday, my sister told me that she would be going on a date with David and I'm sure my sister had gone to meet him that's where she was kidnapped. You're going to answer for this!" She pointed at David.

Sounds of surprised gasps filled the air as so many eyes glared at him.

"I won't warn you again woman, you should be sure before you make false accusations."

"Accusation? Isn't it the obvious truth? Am I not right everyone?" Lana turned to the people around her.

"Yes, you're right!" Everyone chorused now hating themselves for talking with David before Lana could expose him.

So he must be one of the kidnappers and he's here pretending to help while he was busy finding out what the next step of saving Roselle would be.

Curses ranged from all corners of the office where they were.

"You are a complete devil David!"

"What are we waiting for?! Let's get him arrested and he must answer for what he's done!"

"Yes, and he must return our boss and her driver in good health!" One man who couldn't hold his anger cried out, running towards David to hit him.

One of David's bodyguards blocked the man and pushed him back, causing him to fall back and hit his head on the wall.

This caused more gasps and hatred to range in the heart of people towards David.

"You Lana, you will see what I will do to you for accusing me falsely! I thought you claimed to be a brave woman but you don't use your sense when you talk. You're a liar! I don't have anything to do with Roselle being kidnapped!"

Before David could get his name cleared, Mia had already called the policemen and they were thudding towards him.

David made to escape but the police were quick to go after him. Hurdling him as the handcuff was circling his hands behind him at a fast pace he couldn't imagine.

David cursed within him on how things had turned out to be. He didn't expect this would happen to him. He had only come here to get more information and see what Lana's reaction would be if she sees the news that will hit the city in less than 30 minutes from now.

He was not losing hope that he would be freed immediately even though the accusation was strong enough to be denied and he needed a lot to prove his innocence.

"Mark my words, I will deal with you for doing this to me! I don't know why you hate me so much, but stick this into your stupid skull, I will come back for you!"

"Get the hell out of here! Don't you ever come close to this place again. Police take him out!"

Mr Paulson Bernard who was one of the stakeholders in the company arrived seeing the scene and the sight of David angered him more than it angered Lana.

He ran towards Lana who was losing herself in anger and helped Mila hold her quivering body.

"That's enough now Miss Lana. The police will take care of him." Bernard tried to stop Lana who was running towards David to hit him while the police were hurdling him out.

"Mark my words, Lana! I'm just giving you a few minutes and you will see yourself in the hospital, fainted!" David suddenly blurted which shocked everyone more.

"You still have the guts to threaten her?! This is another offence David and it's recorded." One of the policemen who was dragging him outside said and recorded David's statement.

David turned to look at him and registered his face in his head.

'Wait for me too stupid policeman. I will surely come for you too'
