Threat

Thomas who had been silent had a vacant look on his face, his lips curved in a smile as he saw Lucy wink at him. He didn't miss the pleasure of staring at her body which Reld didn't miss seeing as he glared at Thomas, his eyes red with jealousy.

Looking at the important matter now, Reld decided to forego the anger and jealousy, he would deal with Lucy next time.

His eyes went back to the newspaper, going down the page, he read in his mind. 'According to the information gotten from Doctor James Morgan the owner of the hospital, the doctor had ordered Melissa Tom one of the nurses working in his hospital to have a close watch on Nate and was shocked to discover that Nate was the missing driver of Roselle Romano.

Before the doctor could arrive at the hospital with the police, the woman who had claimed to be Nate's sister unlocked the door which only Melissa Tom had the password to, and it was believed the kidnapper had threatened Melissa to say the password.

The kidnappers continued to have Nate hostage and were able to escape with him.' Reld closed the newspaper, there was no need to read further the nonsense the newspaper had to say.

He had grabbed the important point here. Roselle was missing and the man he had struck in the bar was the driver of Roselle the millionaire. The multi-millionaire!

"Turn the page of that newspaper," Thomas spoke in an ordering tone. Obediently, Reld flipped the page and saw the picture of two ladies. "That's the city bitch and her friend, I know them." Reld read the news further and found out that the city bitch was one of the kidnappers.

"Don't tell me I should eliminate them because I can't, count me out of this."

"Reld, I thought you should have been using your sense now, Nate is the driver of Roselle and the city bitch kidnapped him. That same day Reld, you hit the driver and the city bitch was the one who rescued him."

"That could only mean that the city bitch found out that Nate is Roselle's driver that's why she had to kidnap him and Roselle so that she could make money off them. I'm sure Nate had given out a lot of information leading to her kidnapping Roselle too."

Reld puffed hard on his almost-finished cigarette. He threw away the little stick left in his mouth angrily and took another one from the packet and lit it. He puff impatiently on it and let the smoke fly in the room as if he was sending the smoke to help him solve his problem.

Thomas laughed seeing the fear in Reld's eyes and his laughter turned to anger. "This same city bitch struck my man that same day Reld. She struck him to the point of him being in a coma now! I must make sure I take her down!" Thomas yelled.

Reld's eyes stared vacantly at Thomas. He was afraid that Roselle would come after everyone who had a hand in this, maybe if he hadn't struck Nate the city bitch wouldn't have gained access to Roselle.

Again he was afraid that if he went after the city bitch as Thomas was ordering him to, then his life would be at stake from two corners. The first would be from Roselle who would find out that he hit had almost killed Nate. Second would be that if the city bitch finds out he was after her life, he too would be in grave danger.

"My boss knows about this Reld, and his giving you just 24 hours to fish out who this city bitch is and bring her down!"

"But the police are doing their job already, there's no need for me to put my head in this matter."

"Tsk tsk tsk, Reld. You know what you got yourself into. You can't deny it. Just 24 hours Reld, if you don't, you know what you're getting yourself into."

Reld stood from his seat and gazed at Thomas, his stomach tightened as though he was about to hit Thomas squarely in his mouth.

In a split second, he felt how his fist and body would feel if he hit Thomas on his neck. Thomas would be fast to retaliate and walk out after a good fight and that would be the end of the plan to kill someone. But he would not do that to stop the plan since his life is at stake too. He had to allow Thomas to threaten him and go freely.

"Alright Thomas, I will fix this." Reld agreed.

"You should be fast about it. You know how my boss can be impatient. You have started it by fighting this Nate of a man, so you should finish it. I'm watching you Reld, every wrong move you make is recorded, so better be careful if you ever change your mind."

"You don't have to threaten me, Thomas. Just wait when I get out of this problem, just wait and you'll see."

"Alright, I'm waiting." Thomas scoffed and threw the remaining cigarette in his mouth at Reld. The door clanged shot leaving Reld to burn in fury.

Reld's hand ran angrily through his hair, his mind in chaos. 'You started all this Nate, if you had not touched my woman I wouldn't have struck you! I wouldn't have been in this mess now!'

"I'm going to kill you!" Reld shouted, kicking the wooden chair beside the table.

Lucy came back and stood facing him, her eyes were eager and shining.

Reld looked at her, his body was as taut as that of an animal about to leap. "Don't worry about it honey, it's not something you should put yourself into."

Lucy poured the alcohol she had brought into the glass cup. She took the two glass cups filled with wine to him. He gently placed it on the side stool beside them and caressed his shoulders. "You know I'm a woman, I can help you get whoever it is."

"Not now honey, I will handle this personally." He tried to resist Lucy's touch, he was not ready to continue where he stopped at. There was no time for pleasure anymore.

Lucy who had eave-dropped and heard when Reld talked about the man he struck, was curious to know what he was planning to do.

She pulled his arms and pulled him closer to her, kissing him long and deep. Feeling he was not responding, she decided to get the wine.

"This is a new brand I got yesterday when you were away."

Reld took the wine and gulped down the content in his angry mode.

Again, Lucy gently traced her lips on his chest avoiding his lips. She took her lips away and saw his teeth clamping and his lips tingling slightly in a rising passion.

She leaned him properly on the sofa, pressing her lips on his neck and she heard him moan softly. At this, Lucy tried to move away from him making him hunger for more.

The power of alcohol was taking over him gradually. She looked at him wistfully, pretending to be resisting him.

"Come on, honey, don't keep me waiting." Reld's chest was beating rapidly.

"You still don't want to talk to me about it?" Lucy frowned at him.

"Alright, I will, come forward." He circled her waist and squeezed her tightly.

Lucy gave in a little and drew back when he was still not speaking.

Reld saw her undressing, he began to undress too.

Lucy led him onto the sofa again and let him touch the softness he needed a little before she pulled away again.

The alcohol had completely taken control of him. The power of the alcohol and the passion in him was making him say a lot. "Ah, Lucy, they shouldn't blame me if I killed anyone because of this. He took my woman in front of me, so he's gonna pay for it." Reld moaned, pulling her closer to him.

Lucy's eyes narrowed. "How are you going to do that?"

"First of all Lucy, I will trace his family members to get him," Reld said.

Lucy's eyes twitched and she said in her mind 'And you think I would let you do that?' She had gotten what she wanted. She led him on the floor, a wicked smile on her face.
