Investigations.

In a large and well-decorated room, David Anthony stood by the window, his face clouded with anger. This was the third time he had missed a date with Roselle, sadly this time she had been kidnapped. He checked the time, the clock said it was 6:30 in the morning.

A soft knock came at the door and his cold voice spoke, "Come in." He turned to face the door, his mother was standing at the doorway.

"Mum,"

"Dave, don't tell me you're not going to the construction site today. Who would monitor the workers?"

"Mum, I have important things to do. I've assigned Mr Melvin to take of it."

"What important thing do you have to handle if not about that woman, Roselle?"

"Mum, please. Can you cut me some slack? Roselle is not just that woman to me. Roselle is the woman I love and want. She's been kidnapped and you expect me to sit around in the construction site? How will I save her if I'm here doing nothing? Tell me, how will I prove my love if I don't do anything to save her?"

"This is the third good time you missed a date with her."

"That's because she was kidnapped on the day of our date."

Teresa scoffed. "Since yesterday she was kidnapped, what have you done to prove your so-called love?"

David's anger was adding bit by bit with the way his mother talked."Don't you worry mum, I will take this to my advantage."

"How are you going to do that?"

"Just wait and see what I can do."

"You better be careful so you won't end up like me." His mother's voice was cold this time. She turned and glared at him.

"I'm not you mum."

David Anthony left his mother to be in curiosity.

Outside the house, David slid into his car. Someone tapped gently on the front door passenger seat. Dave unlocked the door, rolled the window and said, "Come in." The person took around before going in.

"Any news Ryan?" David asked.

"Boss, this is all we have discovered." Ryan passed a file to Dave.

"Don't tell me this is all you have got. Roselle's car couldn't have just disappeared in the street."

"This is the much the CCTV could detect. This is the time Roselle left her office with Nate and they went to this road." Ryan pointed to the photo, explaining every root Nate had taken when he and Roselle were in the car the day she was kidnapped till he reached the point he couldn't explain further, the point the CCTV stopped to detect Roselle's car.

"What about the kidnappers any record on them?"

"We tried to track the file of those kidnappers but got nothing. Only discovered that one who gained access to Roselle's office was nicknamed the city bitch."

"City bitch?"

"Yes, boss."

"Have you found out where she lived?"

"No record on that was found, boss."

"You're good for nothing Ryan."

"I'm sorry about that, boss. I'm trying my best to get all the information needed to track them."

"But your best is not working. We don't know what those damn criminals are doing to her. You should be faster before Santiago would beat me to it!" David growled and facepalmed. He was finding it hard to control his anger and frustration.

"Speaking of Santiago, any news on him?"

"Yes boss, I have something for you." Ryan brought out another file from his bag and gave it to David. The file contained a picture of Santiago standing beside his car in an old building. He went through more files, his sullen look began to disappear as Ryan continued to speak.

"I also discovered that Santiago's grandparents are still alive."

"You mean the fortune tellers?" Ryan asked in surprise.

"Yes, boss," Ryan replied, bringing out more pictures of Santiago going into the old house, his back and side view captured. Another picture was of him going in a long corridor. Next, he was hugging an old woman. David nodded in satisfaction.

"I believe he had gone to them to be able to know where Roselle was," Ryan said.

If Santiago had gone to seek answers from heaven, then he knows by now where Roselle was. "Damn it!" Dave cursed. "He always knows how to beat me to everything, but I won't allow it this time!"

"Don't worry boss, I don't think it worked out for him. I monitored the ritual and he fainted in the process. I took pictures of him being unconscious. He's still in his grandparent's house as I speak and he's not getting out of there soon. It will give us more time here."

"What if he wakes up tomorrow, he would find her before me."

"By that time his image would have been tarnished with these photos." Ryan brought out another file containing the photos of Santiago and a lady in the car. Another was him hugging the same lady by the roadside. The third was the lady in his arms.

David smiled deeply, he knew what to do with these photos.

"I have to go now, boss."

"Alright, Ryan."

The door clanged shut and Santiago was left alone, a wide smile on his face. He scrolled through the numbers on his phone to call someone. "I want to see you now." He spoke immediately after the receiver picked.

"Right on my way, David." The receiver answered.

After twenty minutes, someone came out of his car, walking towards the car in front of David's house. David who had been waiting for him rolled the window down and waited for the man to enter his car.

The man on the hoodie took a surreptitious look around before going in.

"I have all the pictures you need. Jude."

Jude Oman took the photos from him. He saw the pictures of Santiago with a lady.

"You know what to do with that?"

"Yes David," Jude spoke in his tiny voice.

"I hired you because you're one of the best bloggers in the country and you are the manager of the BTS TV. I want by noon, the news had hit all the corners of the city."

"Trust me, David, I do my job well and hope the person I'm working with will also keep his promise." Jude Oman was a fast talker and when he talks, he sounded more like chip monks.

"Jude, I keep my promise, there's no need to panic."

"Okay then, I will be going now." Jude went off the car.

The moment Jude left the car, David felt cold sweat on his skin. It had been planned and he had to release his fire bit by bit on Santiago. His teeth gritted and the last image he had seen Santiago and Roselle lingered on his mind. He couldn't shake the image off his mind.

Feeling the impact of the hatred cracking against his skull, the tight feeling was still in him and he knew that it will remain in him until he had finally taken Santiago down.

He drove out of his house, heading towards Biling company.
