The drive is slow, and annoyingly long, even I that had ran the distance before is surprised it's taking this long that I turn to him, much to my utter disappointment as I had planned to be silent all through and say "Do you even know where you're going?"
"Of course I do" He says, his eyes still on the road "School"
I roll my eyes "I mean, do you know the road? It's seemingly taking forever"
"I know" He says "Longcuts are clearly underrated"
I face him, annoyed "Why would you even take a longcut?! We're already late as it is!"
"You don't really care about being late of course" He says "You just want to be out of this car and away from me"
"Because you're weird"
"Good, we have something in common then"
I stare at him, no, glare, and if looks could kill, I am sure his head wouls be rolling off his body out the window to the road, but it doesn't so I hiss then to turn the other side of the car, looking out the window and trees that we passed by.
"Besides, you're the Sheriff's daughter" He continues in a surprising monotone "You have a higher advantage"
"Right, I should abuse a privilege because I was lucky gifted with it" I say with a scoff.
"All privileges exist to be abused" He says "It is absurd you do not think that?"
I turn to him again "So that's the reason you've been stalking me? Because my Pops think we could be good friends and you want to 'abuse' that privilege?"
"To stalk, means to progress in an ominous silent manner " He says, sounding obviously bored with that word and faces me "I really don't think I am a silent person with you"
"So you don't watch me while I sleep?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"That isn't a stalker tendency" He says "I am admiring a goddess, juay like a mortal, marvelling at what such a wonderful creature that rules the day with her beauty and bewitches the night while she sleeps"
I make a disgusted face "Why do you always have to sound like some 18th century human?"
He faces me, flashing me a smile with his also not so shockingly perfect teeth and adds with a wink "I'm a vampire, remember?"
I stare, lost at his beauty one more time then snap myself out of his trance again and look back outside the window.
I hear him chuckle, and continues to drive in silence.
After a while, he says "Did you see my present?"
"It's at home" I say "Remind me to smash it to pieces when I get back"
"So violent" He says with a grin "I like that"
"Just stop coming into my room" I say as I face him "It is uncomfortable"
"Are you begging me?" He says, with a mock face on.
I take in a large breath of air, sucking up all of my dignity and say "Yes"
"No" He replies.
"What do you mean no?" I snap "It is on everything ground, morally and sensibly wrong! What is even wrong with you?!"
"I am angry Iana" He says.
His playful tone is gone and he sounds monotonous again, unemotional, but there is a tic in his jaw as he drives that tells of the anger he had said and his hands are gripping the steering wheel tightly "Two lovers sleep next to one another, and at night after passionate love making, one sleeps and the other stares. Her skin reminds him of milk, and he wants to run his tongue all over her, her small breath like the hum of bees making a melodious beat that he could listen to all his life and her face... Carved into a smile that he himself had put there... He had made her shine... He was his Sun and she was His moon..."
Then all of a sudden, his face changes as he spits with venom "But they have been set apart with certain circumstances, both unable to sleep because each part yearns for the other, destined to always be attached and yet ripped from each other's gaze, he has sworn he would never grow through such torture again. He must make her remember him, for the torture was just too much"
I am staring, lost at his hostility, and possibly breathless because when he does not utter another word, I suddenly suck in alot of air and I find out his face is back to that very small smile that was always polite and yet alarming "Do you believe in reincarnation?"
"N...no" I stutter.
"I do" He says with a nervous chuckle "Is it surprising? I believe I have lived from the beginning of time, maybe as the reincarnation of Adam"
"Adam?" I say, oddly interested "Like the Father of all mankind, that Adam?"
"Yes" He says, smiling "And you, my equal"
I want to ask him if he actually has some sort of mental issue laying under his mind, if he was okay but I want to know where this is going and I say "That means I'm Eve?"
He laughs, it sounds like tiny bells... The one you hear in churches that is low and gentle... Small, yet powerful to cause the whole world to pause and stare "Of course not, you are too wise to let a serpent deceive you and Eve was under me, my rib, a part of me, but not an equal"
"So... So who?" I ask, feeling breathless again.
He sighs "I remember us then... You were always so stubborn headed, so rough and disobedient, oh but you had a big heart and you loved everything, though I was your King and you my Queen. I think that was where you both contrasted, as she was meek and gentle, destined to be someone that nodded her head and said yes to every possible order she was given, you were destined to discover and figure out, dominating and bowing to no one, not even me"
"You're .. you're not making amg sense"
"Do you know why your name is Liliana?" He suddenly says, facing me.
"My Mother named me that" I sat "She said I reminded her of Lilies and she just .."
He chuckles "No. She knew right there, with you in her arms that you were the reincarnation of my one and true love, Lilith"
Lilith?
Shockingly, I do not know who she is but I so not feel comfortable talking about it.
Finally, I see the school as he drives into the parking lot, weirdly enough, school has not started and there are still people walking and sitting out.
Even Dana and the twins are in her Jeep, possibly gossiping and making fun of everyone they thought was not worth their attention.
I readily move to open the door, so I could be free of him but the door doesn't budge and I hear him say "I should kill them all. Wasteful offsprings, you know?"
I don't turn to look at him, already terrified of whatever I might see as I hear the locks of the car suddenly pop open and I am out in a flash, not even bothering to look back.
