Confused, standing here in the middle of an empty dark street, dimly illuminated by two street lights each on either side of me. The chilly cold air blows my hair lightly and I look around for someone or somewhere aside this very huge wall in front of me.
Faintly, there's a sound coming from beyond the light on my right side then my left. The sound is eerie, like whistling breeze and breaking bones causing chills to run down my spine as the sound gets closer from both ends.
Suddenly, I see two shadows approaching from the dark into the light, one on each end. On my right is a woman in a white flowy dress with long black hair covering her face, her nails are red and long with a pointy sharp end that has a somewhat thick liquid looking like blood dripping from it.
My eyes connect with hers and I instantly look away from her to my left and see a man standing in the light with a black cloak covering him, a hood covering his head but as he looks up at me to reveal his face, my heart swells with joy. Sean.
Just as I'm about to run to him, a really familiar laughter erupts from the strange woman and it's like time stops. I immediately remember who she is and my heart beat races as my mind screams out for Sean but my body longs for her. Her laughter is really enchanting and it's like the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
"Crystal!" Sean calls out my name and I turn to go back to him but then, I feel a force pulling me towards her. She keeps laughing and I find my lips turning up into a smile as I feel a laughter brewing up inside of me.
Struggling strongly with myself not to laugh, it turns futile and I burst out into a fit of laughter running towards the lady as tears form in my eyes knowing perfectly well that I'm making the wrong choice but still not able to control my self.
This is what happened with Dylan, I allowed myself be dragged away and it's happening again.
"Crystal!!!" Sean yells out for me and I struggle to turn around and go to him but I can't. I have to. I can't make the same mistake a second time.
Just then, Sean appears in front of me and holds me tightly to his chest as I laugh and cry simultaneously.
"She's mine!" The laughter stops and the lady shouts, "let go of her this instant!".
Sean ignores her and before I know, his grip on me loosens and I open my eyes to see him on the ground pain stricken. Just as I'm about to bend down to him, she appears in front of me holding my neck tightly with her right hand and points her left index finger towards my right eyes, the pointy end really scary and I close my eyes instantly.
"Hey there new friend!" She giggles and immediately pierces my eyes with her finger. The pain is terrible and extreme and my ear splitting scream echoes in the empty dark street. I feel blood moving down my eyes and I open them up only to find that I'm in a different environment, a room.
She's not here anymore, I'm not there anymore. I blink multiple times and feel no pain in my eyes, I'm able to move my body although with severe pains in my legs, shoulders and entire body. I open my eyes again slowly to adjust to the light, thankfully it's dim.
My memories play out in my aching head and I remember that she knocked me out after incising words in my legs meaning all that happened afterwards was a nightmare. What a relief! Where am I now? A warm hand touches mine and I immediately flinch away afraid she's the one again.
"It's me babe." Sean's voice says calmly and I turn to look at him, opening my eyes as wide as my weak body would let me and finally seeing his face, a feeling of hope and home engulfing me.
He takes my hand again and this time I don't flinch but squeeze it gently and he lets out a breath of relief, happiness brimming in his beautiful smile.
"I missed you." He kisses my knuckles and I smile lightly with sheer joy, the butterflies in my belly coming back to life. He assists me in sitting up in the bed, my legs feeling like a burning coal was placed on them, then he hands me a cup of water which I drink slowly till I'm satisfied.
The water refreshes me in a really soothing way, clearing my throat and giving me little strength. It's been so long since anything went into my mouth, aside her disgusting saliva. Who was that lady? I never got a chance to see her face.
"How long has it been?" I ask, still feeling weak but happy.
"You were there for five days," he sighs and sits beside me on the bed, holding me close to himself, "you've been here for two days."
Seven days that felt like a hundred, I can't believe this. I went through all types of pain for four days. This is insane. It's crazy. Its crazily funny! I chuckle lightly and he looks at me with a cocked eyebrow that looks even funnier.
My chuckle turns into an uncontrollable laughter and my eyes tear up at the intensity. One second I'm in the safeness of my home, the next I'm in a cabin with creatures I thought were human. One second I'm in love with Dylan the next I'm sticking a knife in his heart. One second I'm with Zara, the next I'm being tortured in a place by a person I never saw!!!.
My laughter triples and I see Sean holding me and looking at me confused and concerned. The universe is a fucking clown and bully, picking on the weak ol' Crystal. He shouldn't be so serious about everything, life's too trivial to be taken in such high-priority.
He looks at me with so much worry and starts to say some things that I don't pay much attention to. He stands up from the bed and looks to be calling out to someone but I'm too happy to care. Laugh with me Sean. Play with me!
