"I am Ghost," Arlott smiled behind his mask. "A ghost who will haunt you."
'Say, Lave. Can I defend against a 6th-class mage's attack if I use the Geno Skill, Super Vitalis Armor?'
[I can only guarantee that you can be moderately hurt if a 5th-class magic attack hits you while your Super Vitalis Armor is active, but a 6th-class can break it depending on the type of attack. You need more Genome Pulse, so start training with Luna and Iris as soon as you can, haha.]
[But these three deserve cruel deaths. It will be a pity if you kill them instantly. This guild had a very clear purpose from the beginning, laid by one of the top ten ancient families.]
Laverna snorted and proceeded to tell Arlott what she found from their memories.
"Why did you do this to us? Did we offend you somehow?" The guild leader finally spoke after subsiding his anger. He knew not to just fight against someone who was weak but managed to kill their core members. An unknown anomaly needed to be confronted carefully.
"Why did you establish this guild?" Arlott asked back as he sat in a figure four lock position.
Arlott continued. "It was established eight years ago and progressed fast, becoming one of the five first-rank guilds of the city."
"Wait, I know the answer," Arlott chuckled.
"With the backing of the Darkrose Clan," Arlott said, a nasty grin forming on his face. "Right?"
"You are basically a research facility for them."
Upon hearing that, the trio's expression changed.
Nobody knew that information!
Even the Guild leader himself was tied to one of the hundred ancient families, so the connection was made there, but nothing about their connection with the Darkrose Clan, one of the top ten ancient clans, was out anywhere in public or Federation!
They had purposely done some minor crimes attached to their guild to hide greater crimes, but that invited the Ghost to them. Even Arlott was shocked when Laverna told him what was happening in the ground below this guild.
"If you have evidence of this claim, then you can forget about leaving alive," the guild leader said as a black spear with dark blue lightning patterns appeared in his hand.
"Oh? What grade of artifact is that?" Arlott curiously asked.
[It's a toy in my eyes, but powerful enough to instantly break your Super Vitalis Armor.]
Larverna wryly chuckled.
[But worry not. They must not die instantly. I also have a toy for you so you can play with them longer.]
"It is enough to kill you," the guild leader grunted before he vanished from his spot with a crackle of thunder and shot toward Arlott.
*BOOM*
However, his spear and his dash position paused a meter away from Arlott, unable to proceed further.
"W-what?"
Confused, he quickly shot backward and appeared beside his companions.
"What happened, Marlo?" the woman asked, her eyebrows furrowed.
"No idea, Maeve," Marlo frowned.
"What the fuck," Davin cursed in confusion. He was wearing a pair of glasses that flashed faintly. "His Arcane Force remained the same, boss! What the fuck is going on?"
"Allow me to introduce myself," Arlott smiled; his outfit had changed into a dark silver suit right before Marlo attacked him.
"You can call me Ghost."
'So what's this item?'
[Aestin Space Armor. It will stop any attack below 100,000 Arcane Force entering 1 meter of you.]
'How much did it cost? Were you buying things daily for me?'
Laverna chuckled.
[Not daily, but I've bought enough things that we only have one million points left out of the initial ten million.]
[But worry not, everything I've bought is useful and will help you build up properly. Out of the items, I've only got two. One is this suit, and another is a weapon. The others are skills, arts, and such things that you'll learn step by step.]
'What can I say except for thanks, darling? This armor will indeed be useful until I encounter the big shots,' Arlott laughed. Laverna was more knowledgeable about everything since the Realm Master status initially belonged to her, and she knew what items were good and worth more for his progress.
[Humu.]
"Now then, you three need to sit down first," Arlott snapped his finger, causing his soul pressure to blast on them as all three of them felt sudden suffocation and started sweating.
"Sit down, I said," Arlott narrowed his eyes upon seeing them resisting. He attacked their souls, jolting their consciousness as their knees bent.
*Thud…*
Marlo, Maeve, and Davin felt their heart shaking as they faced this strange power, and their eyes filled with horror.
"W-What the fuck did you?!" Davin shouted, panicked and shocked.
Arlott stood up and walked towards them while the trio was unable to move.
However, they could still channel their power as Maeve gritted her teeth, and Marlo clenched his fist.
Both of them tried to use their full power as they unleashed offensive attacks on Arlott.
Maeve released a black flame orb pulsing with the condensed power of flame and darkness, while Marlo released a golden lightning bolt.
Alas, both of their attacks paused one meter before Arlott and exploded there.
The floor was destroyed, and the hall was damaged, but Arlott remained unscathed.
"Now then, what should I do to make you suffer most?" Arlott continued walking and stopped two meters away from them.
"I-I can do anything for you. P-please spare me," Davin pleaded, scared out of his wits.
[Wait, Arlott. Seal their soul for now and put them in the Life Storage Ring first so they can't get out. We have to return to the hotel's terrace. Luna and Iris have encountered some annoying and arrogant flies.]
Arlott raised her eyebrows as a cold glint passed through his eyes.
The trio felt a sudden chill since they were looking at Arlott.
Davin was already begging to spare him, but he also shut up.
"I'll deal with you three later," Arlott said before he waved his hand, causing their soul to shut down as he sealed them and put their bodies in the storage ring.
