What lay beyond the dark narrow passage was a spacious natural chamber. Contrasting the lightless environment on the other side, the uneven roof glowed in white-gold rays as if being blessed by the spirits. Although the lustrous luminescence was nowhere near as powerful as the reigning sunlight in the outside world, it allowed sufficient visibility to perceive all the things that were usually unseen. This unexpected circumstance, although betraying expectation, was beneficial.
At the center, rested a serene lake that occupied a large portion of the area and some colorless fish could be seen swimming freely. The surface reflected the gentle white light, masking it to appear like a precious white stone. One of the edges was crawling out from the chamber, bringing fresh air into the area. Hence, the atmosphere contained a certain amount of water vapor, yet it was unpleasant.
