Caroline watched Morpheous get out of the car's front seat and then take the seat next to her.

"Sorry, we can go now!" He politely apologized to the driver, and their ride continued. She had like thousands of questions in her head, but the one that kept probing her was - how he took care of it?

She wanted to ask him if he was ok, but with the way he struck the chord of silence, she couldn't bring herself to ask him anything. She was beyond grateful that he was taking her away from that insanity. 

About fifteen to twenty minutes into the ride, he opened his bag and took out two sandwiches for her. "Would you like a ham or chicken sandwich?"

Looking at him, she replied, "I don't have much appetite. You can go ahead…" And then she realized that this was not the food that he ate. "My bad!" She apologized and then continued looking outside, but from the corner of her eyes, she could read the disappointment written on his face as he put it back in.
