Chapter 30 : Island base

Under the sea, there's an underwater sensor so that people couldn't sneak in underwater. There's also an air defense system, electromagnetic fielding device all around the island, so that normal equipment wouldn't work there.

He painstakingly learns memory changing magic, so that intruders that happen to pass into the island will have their memory modified.

NF : How do people from the island want to get information from the outside world?

There's an information center, equipped with a new AI called the Red Queen, made from an AI source code he bought. The computer module can connect to any government in the world, can access any banks and property, and it's for public use.

NF : What kind of energy is needed to supply the island's demands?

This is very simple as he bought a few miniaturised arc reactors made with Stark future new elements. The energy reserve he has can run the island automatically without disruption for 30 years.

He uses a mini arc reactor because he splits the energy line in the island. In this case, if a part of the base gets shut down, the other part will still be okay.

In making the island, he has to buy a few deep sea mining equipment, to get rare metal to sell in the trading system as the construction cost him more than 10 billion dollars in real world.

If he did not find a few gold mines, he would have to get the money from his main body, which could lead to a trace.

It's better to have no connection at all. Most items, materials, miscellaneous, in the island are bought from the system, making it untraceable in the real world.

NF : There's always the need to have an exit strategy even if the base is absolutely safe. What's your exit strategy?

There's more than 10 quinjet, an airbus, the same one that Coulson has in Agent of Shield, a port room that is a portkey system connected to more than 50 cities in the world. "I wanted to make a Floo checkpoint, but it needed a fireplace"

As agents don't have the source of magic to use the portkey, he has to modify it into a magic equipment, using mana crystal he got from dungeon World. As long as there's mana crystal supplying the magic, even a normal human could use the portkey.

In the 6 long months, the number of times he wanted to hit the one eyed cyclop is in the thousands. The moment he finishes one thing, there will be another aspect that the cyclop is dissatisfied with.

The tremendous work he did in the 6 months is barely enough for a passable grade by the cyclop. Even after he got the rewards, he kept thinking whether it was worth it.

Ryan POV.

Two weeks have passed since he threw the new body onto the island. The water project is already halfway done. The Knight industry is receiving contracts from several countries that have water crises. They are steadily on the road to finish the quest for him.

Ryan is in a meeting room in the Knight industry building, waiting for Hiddle to get the information on the water project. He also plans to meet the R&D director afterwards to give a new car design.

When Hiddle comes in, he unexpectedly brings someone else with him. A hot Italian woman in her 30's.

"Young Master, she will brief you about the water plant progress", said Hiddle while gesturing to the woman beside him. "Nice to meet you Mr Knight, I'm…"

"May Parker, right?" Ryan cuts off her word. He'll never forget who she is. This is his first official meeting with Aunt Hottie in Marvel world.

May is a little excited as he remembers her. When she gets into the company, it is because of Ryan's word. Although he has never met her , she's always grateful for his kindness.

"Yes, never thought you'd remember me Mr Knight." She has a soft smile on her face that Ryan took a lot of willpower to pull himself back from the charm.

May started the meeting explaining about the project progress, and blockage. "Most countries are glad to have their own plant, but some are demanding the technology to be released."

"There's also a few environmental groups that are protesting the plant, saying it's destroying the sea habitat." May said, while she is frustrated, she didn't show it. The project is managed by Hiddle, but the old housekeeper is grooming her to be a successor.

" There's no need to respond to the country's demand. If they didn't want the water plant, then that's it. For the environment group, take them for a tour of the water plant. Show our care for the ocean to them."

There's sonar on the floating water plant platform, so that marine life will stay away from it. It also has a filter so that any life that is sucked through the tube can be released back to the ocean.

"Also, let Knight Entertainment make a documentary about the plant.Its good to receive the support of the public." Ryan gives out a solution. He didn't care about the countries as it's actually nothing.

When his father Tim started to make connections with the world's top families, some politicians couldn't sit still and watch Knights influence grow. So they started to make trouble for the company.

Although Ryan looks like he's not doing anything, in a few weeks, all the dirty deeds of these politicians will be out to the public. Money laundering, rape, Epstein Island visits, even murder for some.

Anonymous evidence will be thrown to the judicial system and the DA office. "99% of the politicians that try to make trouble are dirty. It horrified me to know that these mens is the ones running the country."

While discussing the countermeasures with May and Hiddle, the butler offered Ryan some tea as it's been quite a while since they started.

The housekeeper goes out to make some, leaving him alone with May. She notices that his temperament changes when he's not working.

"He's cool-headed, looks a little cold and always decisive when making decisions. But now, he's like a little kid who has been left alone by the adults." The awkward silence in the conference room continues for 5 minutes before it is broken.

"How's Peter doing?" Ryan asks. He is curious about the little spider. "He's doing fine. It's gonna be his 9th birthday next month, so I am going to throw a party for him." May is a little surprised, but she answers calmly.

"Next month….. Then I will give him a present". May is stunned a little when Ryan said that.She is just making conversation, and didn't think that Ryan would do this. "You really don't have to Mr Knight."

Ryan takes out his phone ignoring her and says "ALBUS, give 5 tickets to the 'Knightland' theme park for May." Ryan took ideas to build a theme park from a company in his previous life and rename it. There's no copyright here, so sue him.

"The theme park will be open officially after that. You can use all the recreation there as part of the early tester. Wish him a happy birthday from me. I gave extra ticket so that he can bring his friends. If it's not enough you can ask ALBUS for more."

"What's so good about her that we needed to treat her so well?" Bitch A said while fixing her makeup. Bitch B who is trying to accentuate her figure said. "Who knows, maybe she had a little something with the CEO. If not, do you think she can enter the company?"

Bitch B said again. "She's very lucky though. If it was me, I will wring the chairman dry and I don't even have to work. She's very stupid that she didn't take the chance" They laughs at May.

She wanted to clarify, but tears came out instead. "Be strong May. Be strong. It's for Peter. Do it for Peter." She wipes her tears after crying for a while. It's not like she isn't capable but people needed time to adapt.

With determination, she fights hard to prove her worth to the company that she catches Hiddle eyes. The old housekeeper is shocked when he learns that Ryan is the one who hires her.

"The young master has a good eye for people." That's all he said when May asked her. He didn't know how to explain it. "It's like the young master has a sixth sense of some sort. He knows what industry to venture in. What is going to be trending in business"

"What movies do the public like and so on. He especially have eyes for people as a lot of artist and actors he contracted with is now very popular"

For those bitches who like to gossip, Ryan fires them after their lacking performance. He's also uncomfortable with them as they try to seduce him every time he comes to the company.

Hiddle feels complicated when May told him that Ryan gives a ticket for her nephew as a birthday gift.

As far as he knows, Ryan never shows an interest in another employee's life, ever! Maybe Ryan is interested in May, but Hiddle doesn't want Ryan to cheat on Gwen or break up with her. "It seems like I have to talk to him after this". Hiddle noted in his heart.
