Authors Note:
I wanted to quickly say sorry for the delay in the chapter, today is my birthday, and leading up to it I didn't really feel like writing but I powered through and got one done, hope you all enjoy it!

"Hmm, maybe, maybe... no."
"Will this one do? No."
"Hmm, how curious, quite the interesting customer, hmm...."
'For the love of all that is magic, when will this lunatic find a wand that works for me!' Alaric screamed in his mind as he had either been trying wands or standing there as Olivander aimlessly yet meticulously slinked through the shelves picking wand after wand.
"Ah! Yes, yes, this might just work, here, try this wand, Mr. Reinhardt."
"Aspen, 12 3/6 inches, dragon heartstring core, very flexible, this ought to be quite the powerful wand in the right hands in regards to dueling and spell casting in general." Olivander spouted as he hurried toward Alaric and shoved the wand into his left hand, that being his dominant.
"Ah, if you would do this old man a favor, may I request you remove the ring when testing this wand, lest my store gets blown up if the reaction is too strong."
Alaric did as he was requested and handed the ring to his sister to hold on to, once she had the ring Alaric took a firm grip on the wand handle and he gave it a slight twirl while pouring his magic into the foci.
Without a moment's hesitation, the wand ignited in bright colors that danced around the wand and around Alaric's figure, however, just as it looked like he found the right wand, the light disappeared and the wand rejected him by shooting off a wanton spell.
"How curious... curious, curious, curious, I quite thought that wand would work well but it seems I was slightly off with the wand selection... ah, here it is." Olivander said with a slight frown as he rummaged through the boxes and found one of an almost exotic quality with ornate decorations depicted all around it.
"Here we are, try this wand, Cherry wood, 14 inches, dragon heartstring, and flexible, a fine piece of craftmanship and a terribly powerful wand."
As Alaric grabbed the wand and placed the handle in his hand, he felt the smooth carefully crafted finishes, the millisecond of his palm made complete contact with the handle, he felt something inside click.
"So this is a wand huh." Was all Alaric could mumble before a calm storm of magic started to erupt around him causing a chaotic yet contained storm to rage around his person. As the tempest came moving all throughout the surroundings of Alaric, a peculiar thing happened, none of the wand boxes or any furnishings in the shop were displaced or destroyed, it was like the magic storm passed write through or over them.
As everyone took in the sight that was playing out before them, Olivander was doubly occupied by observing the strange reactions the many wands encased in boxes all over the store were having.
Garrick Olivander had been a wand maker and wand lore expert for many, many years, and yet, to this day he has never once seen such a sight, it was as if all of the wands within the vicinity, even the bonded ones, were responded and... submitting to the young Reinhardt Heir.
"Curious indeed," Olivander mumbled as the storm died down and calm prevailed in the small and quaint store once again.
"What a splendid show Mr. Reinhardt, that was quite the extraordinary feat of magic."
"Thanks." Was all Alaric said while still in a daze, he seemed to be enamored with the wand to the point of analyzing every nanometer of the wand.
Seeing the boy was still in an almost trance, Olivander decided to continue with an explanation of the wand and where it came from, if not for the boy then for his befuddled companions.
"Throughout my travels all over the world learning about different styles of wand making, I must admit, I am quite smitten with the way the Japanese create their wands, especially with the curious material that is Cherry Wood.
"Cherry wood as I have researched is a highly powerful wand wood when paired with the right core and wizard. Many famous and highly powerful Japanese wizards have used wands with cherry wood in them, it is the royalty of wand wood in the Eastern world."
"However, the Western wand-purchaser should dispel from their minds any notion that the pink blossom of the living tree made for a frivolous or merely ornamental wand, for cherry wood often made a wand that possessed truly lethal power, whatever the core. though, if paired with a dragon heartstring, the wand ought never to be teamed with a wizard without exceptional self-control and strength of mind." Olivander said with a strangely serious tone
"And to my great delight, it would seem Mr. Reinhardt here, has both qualities in spades. I look forward to witnessing the heights of greatness you and that wand will reach in this lifetime." Olivander said regaining his erratic and excited tone as he slightly bowed to Alaric who had come out of his trance a moment ago.
--A Few Minutes Later--
"That was so cool! All of the magic swirling around us and the tempest he generated as well, did you see how it didn't destroy anything!" Harry animatedly talked with Sirius about what they just saw however when he realized he was making a scene the boy lowered his voice so as to not embarrass himself further.
"Well, I think that is enough excitement for today, it was nice seeing you and young Harry Sirius, if you would excuse us we shall be on our way," Theodoric said as he said his farewell to Sirius and Harry while Alaric and Sofia did the same.
And with a *crack*, the Reinhardt trio had left Diagon Alley and went back to the estate, once there Alaric and Sofia would have several mock duels where she wouldn't be able to land a single one on Alaric, shocker I know.
--September 1st, 1991, King's Cross Station--
"Do you kids have everything you need?" Asked Theodoric as he walked toward the Hogwarts Express with his grandchildren in toe.
"Yes, grandfather." Both replied
"Ok you two, I best not receive any letters from Dumbledore mentioning you getting in trouble, that especially stands for you Alaric," Theodoric said with an accusatory stare at his grandson
"What? Why me?" Alaric asked bewildered
"Because I know with all of that power you are bound to do something that will cause me a headache," Theodoric said with an eye roll and a small smile
'Oh, you have no idea, old man.' Alaric thought as he plotted all that he would interfere in this year. While part of him wanted to just sit back and watch, he also wanted to explore some, firstly he wanted to experience the mirror of erised first hand, coupled with the fact he wanted to examine the Philosopher's stone personally and see just what made it tick.
Although he was going to mess with those events, he really couldn't care less when it came to Quirrelmort, the studdering vessel was nothing in his eyes but a failed lab experiment and he would let the new and improved Harry deal with him as it wasn't worth Alaric's time.
"Well, with that aside, I hope you two have an enjoyable school year."
And with a few more goodbyes being said between the family, Alaric, and Sofia set off toward the train car entrance.
As the two boarded the train car, Sofia swiftly made her way to where her friends were not even sparing Alaric a single glance. 'How cold, I'm almost proud.' Alaric thought as he too started down the hall to find an unoccupied compartment.
As he walked through the train cart for a few moments, he couldn't help but feel like a headache was making its way toward him, and that was when he felt someone tap his shoulder.
"Well if it isn't Alaric, fancy seeing you here." Draco "My daddy will hear of this," Malfoy said to Alaric with an exceptionally haughty tone, something that he would regret in the near future.
"Piss off ferret, I don't have time for this right now, nor do I carry the patience," Alaric said in a cold tone to the young inbred boy.
After their initial meeting a few years ago at his sister's debutante ball when she turned eleven, Alaric hadn't made a lick of effort to create any kind of friendship with Draco, it wasn't for some self-righteous reason or anything like that, no, the boy just simply annoyed Alaric to no end.
Before the blonde-haired idiot could utter another word, Alaric started walking away again as he silently cast a jelly legs jinx on Draco and his bodyguards, dumb and dumber.
--A later in an empty compartment--
it had been only a few moments after Alaric had found an empty compartment that the Hogwarts Express came to life and started its trek to Hogsmeade Station
As Alaric was silently watching the sprawling countryside play out in front of his eyes, that was before he was alerted by the presence of two young, most likely first years, trying to open the door that he locked, with a sigh, Alaric unlocked as he recognized the two boys on the other side.
Now that it was unlocked, the door to the compartment slid open, revealing a short kid with messy black hair, glowing green eyes, and a lighting bolt scar, accompanied by a slightly taller kid with red hair, freckles, and an assortment of hand-me-down items.
These two were obviously the Boy-Who-Lived, and his pet Weasley, Ronald Weasley.
"To what do I owe the pleasure gentlemen?" Alaric asked with a cocked eyebrow at their intrusion
"Ah, sorry mate, do you mind, everywhere else is full," Ron said with an unsure expression as he gazed into the cold neutral stare of Alaric's. "Sure, I don't mind, welcome."
"Oh, hey Alaric, I didn't realize that was you!" Harry said excitedly as he finally came into the doorway and saw Alaric.
"Hello Harry, and I presume you are, Ronald Weasley?" Alaric asked
"U-Uh, yeah, how'd you know mate?" Ron asked slightly perturbed
"I took a wild guess, as your companion said earlier, I am Alaric Siegfried Reinhardt, heir to the House of Reinhardt," Alaric said with a slight head bow
"No way! my dad told me all about your family and what they did during the war, has your grandfather or uncle shown you any cool spells, what kind of magic they specialize in, how powerful are they?" Ron asked as he fired off question after question, much to the irritation of Alaric and the amusement of Harry.
As the boys talked for a few more minutes, the door slid open once more as the candy cart lady peered in her head and asked. "Anything off the trolly cart dears?"
"Um, no thanks, I'm all set," Ron said as he awkwardly held out a roughly wrapped sandwich.
Instead of letting his friend starve, however, Harry decided to buy a little bit of everything the lady had, after which he accumulated a small pile of sweets right next to himself.
"Do you want some Ron, go ahead and dig in?" Harry offered, likewise doing to same with Alaric who kindly refused
"Wicked!" Ron said as he grabbed a few sweets while thanking Harry
"So, Harry, how did you and Ronald here meet?" Asked Alaric intrigued at how they already seemed acquainted when they showed up at the compartment.
"Oh, I met him and his family at the platform earlier and we talked for a bit and got on together."
'It seems this version of Harry is much more confident and sociable, good for him I guess.'
--Later--
It had now been quite it bit since the train had initially set off for its course, Harry and Ron had animately been taking the whole time and Alaric just chimed in if he was asked something or if he got bored.
The conversation had eventually steered toward magic spells and Ron was about to try out one that George had apparently told him would change the color of scabbers, aka Peter Pettigrew, the slimy bastard was inches away from dying at Alaric's hands just for the hell of it but he decided to let events play out and enjoy the show instead.
Just as Ron was about to try the spell, a cute, bushy-haired, buck-toothed girl appeared at the doorway asking about a toad.
"Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Nevile's lost one" She asked after a quick glance around the compartment.
After replying with a no, she noticed Ron was about to try a "spell"
"Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see then." She said in an almost haughty tone
After clearing his throat, Ron gave the spell a try. "Sunshine Daiseys, bottom mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow." and with a slight flash of light, what do you know, it worked! Almost.
"No way, it actually worked, how preposterous," Hermoine said with a raised voice
As she and the other two boys were amazed at how the rat did turn yellow and they were discussing it, Alaric couldn't help but let out a light chuckle.
"What's so funny hmm?" Hermoine asked
"Ah, where are my manners, my name is Alaric Reinhardt, heir to the House of Reinhardt, a pleasure." He said almost robotically as he has done this too many times to care
