A dilapidated grey mansion, walls cracked, the gate rusted and deformed, vines traversing the shell of the building to the point it seems to be made of trees rather than stone. The towering trees in the vicinity completely mask the sole building within miles of forest. The thin rays of light on a full moon barely sneak past the thick trees and touch the mansion, giving it a slight breath of life.
Within a spacious yet dark bedroom in this mansion, on a kingsize bed, a small two-year-old child slowly fluttered his eyes open. His piercing golden eyes emitted a faint light that contrasted with his dark surroundings. William remained still on his bed, carefully recalling everything he had just gone through before arriving in his current environment.
William Reginal, that was his name, both in this life and before. Yes, William was a traveller or the more popular term in the 21st century a transmigrator. William's past life ended abruptly but rather unspectacularly, one second he closed his eyes at night and woke up here the next. Well not immediately next, William didn't merely wake up here as he read in novels in his past life, no, he had an experience far more complex than that. You would assume anyone would be panicking with this sudden situation no matter how amazing it was, on the contrary, William was extremely calm, his heart as clear as a forest lake.
Just prior to awakening, William or rather his soul spent a year in an unknown space, speaking to the highest existence which simply referred to itself as 'THE WILL'. There was no real explanation for his transmigration to this alternate universe or any strong reasoning, the WILL simply says William was the only existence in creation that resonated with it and hence William was brought here.
When William asked why the WILL merely responded with, "I don't know, nor can I know, I can not stop it, nor do I want to stop it, it is merely my WILL and the WILL of all". William did not delve into a matter beyond his comprehension as he could feel that one day he would understand what this WILL truly was, rather he spent time inspecting the SYSTEM William bound to his soul, its functions carried a range but its core features were a 'Sign In' feature that provided ranging rewards from knowledge, spells and items, a user data panel and a power point system that allowed William to break through bottlenecks, enhance and evolve skills and more.
There was no meaning for its actions, no hidden message, it purely acted on its instinct or basic WILL. The WILL explained everything needed to know before integrating into a new world to William over the year, what's more, it provided William with the single most powerful right to own the sole, SYSTEM. With it, William may grow from a basic human to an existence that may one day stand above all. It also gave William a choice in the world he would travel to. After contemplating for a while, based on the danger factor, potential and his own personal views, William chose the world of 'Harry Potter', as it had enormous potential and unknown factors that revolved around 'magic', a concept William adored in his past life.
The system was William's blessing from the WILL, but he also received three boons from it. The first boon: True Sight, his golden eyes were not just for show, they could see through many things from curses to illusions easily. The second boon: The Origin Mind, his mind could recall, comprehend and perform at a level no one could assume. The third boon: Bloodline of Ambrosius, the blood of the ancestor of magic, its benefits only revealed with time.
"Sigh".
With a heavy exhale, William's heart firmed and he came to terms with his situation. "Since I'm here, I'll live my best, be my best and do everything I dreamed of doing!". William's resolute and determined thoughts exited from an extremely immature, even cute little voice and echoed in his surroundings. Pushing himself off the bed, William did a slight jump from the high bed to the floor and walked towards the balcony in his room. Pushing open the slightly unhinged door, William carefully rested upon the stone railings and gazed happily towards the moon from the gaps of the forest. This was another chance for him, a new life and a new beginning, to say he was excited would be an understatement. Putting aside his thoughts, he expectantly called out in his mind, "System!".
"Ding! System binding complete, welcome host! Would you like to open the 'Starter Pack' and utilise your first daily sign-in?"
"Yes! Open and sign in!" Screamed William, both in his mind and unintendedly from his mouth as well because of how overly hyped he was.
"Ding! Starter pack opening...Received: x1 Origin Magic Training Guide (Unique), x1 True Dragon Egg, x1 Dragon Tongue Knowledge, x1 Elemental Magic Guide, x1 Ancient Mage Robe (Growth Type)."
"Ding! Daily sign-in triggered...Received: [200 Galleons]."
"Mhm. I'm all set, well other than the two hundred gold galleons, which are useless to me right now. I'll save it in the system storage for now. Didn't expect I would get a dragon egg, moreover a true dragon. Although the Harry Potter world has many dragons they are weaker compared to the existences I know from mythology."
"Well it's dangerous outside, although Epping Forest is large and remote from people in the current time, there are many hidden dangerous creatures for me, I'll explore tomorrow, for now, let's use everything I received. Collect!"
As William's words just fell, a massive influx of knowledge entered Willaims mind, however, was easily sorted and comprehended with his superior mental abilities. As the information finished arriving in his head, a comfortable feeling enveloped William as a magical black and blue robe appeared on William and adjusted itself to fit William perfectly, occasionally shimmering with a faint blue light in the night and finally, with a slight thump behind him, William turned to see a pitch black egg with blue light emanating from within, nearly a meter tall completely overshadowing him.
After struggling to push the egg to a corner of the room, William turned to a slightly cracked body-sized mirror in his room, William inspected his tiny body with a grin, his black hair and golden eyes were a combination that would undoubtedly cause satisfaction.
With a lifetime's worth of excitement crammed into a single night, William climbed back onto his bed and slowly closed his eyes, excited to face a brand new day in a new world when he opens them once again.
My memory of the Harry Potter world isn't very fresh, any extra things about the world you would like to say, feel free to comment. I'm writing this for fun, but I hope it's at a good standard so feel free to leave feedback. Enjoy and have a good day.
