Heading Out

=Guild of Shield Faction=

Celsius: "Hey, over here you two."

It's still early in the morning and they where now in front of the guild's entrance. Nympha and Ray didn't get enough sleep.

Nympha: *yawn*

Ray: (My head still hurts.)

Celsius: "Come. We still have things to discuss."

Both of them went inside the guild. They had to wait on the reception hall to follow up their request.

Nympha: "Why are we doing this so early?" She complains.

Celsius: "Early birds catch more worms."

Nympha: "But based from what you state last night, we can spot that thing during night time."

Celsius: "We need to prepare and check the parameters when the sun is still set. And if we're lucky maybe we can catch it at day time."

Ray: "You guys talks. I'll just lay my body here."

"RAY!!!" Both of them screamed.

Ray: "Okay I'm kidding. So, what's the plan?"

After a very harsh and busy day,the head receptionist had the time to relax in her room. She is sitting in the veranda enjoying her cup of tea.

Ms. Kara: "Finally, some peace and quality time for myself."

*Knock!* *Knock!* *Knock!*

Ms. Kara: (Tch!Why can't I just have a moment of silence for a while?) "Come in!"

An attendant stepped in and put a document on the table.

Ms. Kara: "What is this? Didn't I tell you that I'm on a break?"

Attendant: "This is urgent, Miss Kara."

The head receptionist took the document and read it. She stood up and hurriedly looks for the person who sent it.

Celsius: "If you read all the things I gave to you last night, I have laid all our plans there."

Nympha: "Yeah. So basically, we are going to hunt for a habitant called Inoki, right?"

Ray: (I forgot to read those.) "Ah right. Inoki hunting."

Celsius: (..and you two will be the key …) "Be serious, since this is once in a lifetime catch."

The head receptionist appeared before them. Her face was furious.

Ms. Kara: "Ehem!"

Celsius: "Sorry I didn't see you there, Miss Kara."

Nympha: (I…have a terrible feeling about this.)

Ray: "Hello Miss Kar--"

Ms. Kara: "Shut it." She turned her attention to Celsius. "Is this your request, Mr. Administrator of the 4th District?"

Celsius held his head up high and starts to deal with the fuming woman in front of him.

Celsius: "Yes. It is. This is the only opportunity to hunt, since it's going to be a full moon seven days from now."

Ms. Kara: (Look at this kid talking almighty.) "Sadly, your so-called opportunity will come to waste."

Celsius: "And whose authority?"

The atmosphere became dark and heavy. Ray and Nympha slowly back away from the scene. It's a clash they wouldn't want to be involved.

Ray: "We need to give them some space." He whispered.

Nympha: "I know Ray. It's a battle we need to pass."

Ray: "I agree, sis."

A boulder man approached them from behind. It was the guild master.

GM Esley: "The room is pretty lively today? What's the occasion?"

His large presence interrupted the impending storm.

Ms. Kara: "Guild Master Esley! This silly kid made an insane preposition!"

Celsius:"What silly?! This crazy reception of yours don't want to approve my request, Guild Master Esley!"

GM Esley: *sigh* "Okay, calm down you two." He's words was deep and clear. The two people arguing immediately composed themselves.

GM Esley: "Kara, what seems to be the problem? It's so early and yet you're causing a commotion?"

Ms. Kara: "Read it!" She quickly handed over the document.

GM Esley: "This…this is…*sigh* Are you sure about this, Celsius?" He said after finished reading it.

Celsius: "Yes. No harm will fall. I assure you a hundred percent."

Ms. Kara: "And why is that?" The head receptionist interjected.

Celsius: "I have them with me." He pointed at Ray and Nympha.

Nympha: *sigh*

Ray: (He just went with it without our consent!)

Both Ray and Nympha jus stayed silent. They don't want anymore arguments.

GM Esley: "It is stated here that you need ten days for your mission. I guess you're already prepared for this."

Celsius: "Indeed. At least someone understand." He said as he glanced at the head receptionist."

GM Esley: "Okay. I don't see anything bad about it."

Ms. Kara: "Guild Master! This is dangerous!"

Celsius: "We are just going to explore the plains outside the underground city. They have me. We will survive." He assured them.

GM Esley: "This is your first time going outside, Are you sure you can handle this?"

Celsius: (Guess, I got no choice.) He took out his storage crystal and brought out a purple cube. "I got this."

GM Esley: (What is this kid up to?) "And what is that?"

Ms. Kara: *sigh* "What's the use of this thing in your mission?"

Ray and Nympha looked at the purple cube Celsius is holding.

Celsius: "I can't show it here."

The guild master felt an intense energy around the purple cube.

GM Esley: "Celsius come to my office…Just the two of us please."

Ms. Kara: "What?!"

GM Esley: "You heard me, Kara."

Celsius and the guild master left the three people behind and head to the main office.

Ms. Kara: (What is that purple cube anyway?)

Ray: "Hmm, Ms. Kara…"

Ms. Kara: (Another headache) "Yes?" She gave a flat smile.

Ray: "Ah nothing…nothing." He shook his head. (Maybe it's best not to ask. Her eyes are definitely not smiling!)

The head receptionist turned her attention to Nympha.

Ms. Kara: "Did you agree with that arrogant kid?"

Nympha's body felt cold. She didn't dare to answer.

Ms. Kara: "Oh. Silent means yes." As she glared at Nympha with a sinister look.

Nympha: "I'm sorry, Ms. Kara! I didn't know it was dangerous."

Ms. Kara: *sigh* She looked at Ray. (This kid doesn't even know a thing.) "Do you know what's an Inoki?"

Ray who doesn't have any idea couldn't respond.

Ms. Kara: "I was right." *sigh* "Kids these days."

The head receptionist stopped when she saw Celsius and the guild master came back.

GM Esley: "We had a pretty good chat. I have approved his request."

Ms. Kara: "Thank good----wait! You approve it! Why?!"

GM Esley: "Yes, I do. And if anything happens to these three, I will put my life on it."

The head receptionist was about to reason out but the guild master quickly tapped her shoulder and whispered something.

GM Esley: "Take the contract. If you failed, you know what will happen to you three." He gave his warning.

"Yes, Guild Master." They responded.

The guild master and the head receptionist went inside the office while the newly formed party went out and set for their mission.

Nympha: "Wait Ray. You're going the wrong way."

Ray: "Aren't we going to the center of the city and made an exit there?"

Celsius: "No. The portals only function as an entrance and exit to the labyrinths. We are simply going outside of the city."

Nympha: (He doesn't know this as well.) "It's in the opposite direction."

Ray: "Okay? I didn't know about that."

Celsius begins to worry.

Celsius: (My high hopes suddenly turned low.)

Nympha: "Guys, before we head to the exit. We need to talk about the important stuff first."

"Okay." Both responded.

Nympha: "Since I'm a tank and Ray's a fighter. Ray needs to be in front, Celsius in the middle while I go last. That will be our position."

Ray: "Right. We need to protect him."

Celsius: "I don't need protection."

Nympha: "It's the best formation, Celsius. There are dangerous creatures outside. They are classified from inferior to superior level. Habitants, viles and rogues, they exists there."

Ray: "I see."

Celsius: "Okay, continue."

Nympha: "Habitants are creatures that normally lives on the plains. Some are harmful, some are not. We also have habitants inside the Underground City. For example, the Angora bunnies."

Ray: "Those giant bunnies are called habitants?"

Nympha: (I see. This kid has never been outside.) "Yes, Ray."

Nympha: "Next are Viles. These are the most dangerous creatures on the plains. These creatures hunt us. They are smart and cunning. Their bodies are embedded with dark miasma and their whole features are similar to habitants but more sinister looking. If we encounter a Vile, we need to avoid it at all costs."

Ray and Celsius nodded.

Ray: (All noted.)

Nympha: "Lastly are Rogues. It's really hard to differentiate a rogue since they're the same like us. So, we have to be vigilant to any person who will approach us in our journey. We can only trust ourselves up there."

Celsius: "Okay, let head towards our goal."

Ray: "Sure." (I'm excited to see what the outside looks like.)

Nympha: (I just hope this mission will end quickly. This party is a mess. There's the one that is crazy and the one who is completely oblivious about a lot of things.)

The party went straight to the 1st District where the main entrance is located. A two ten-foot tall black crystals stood facing each other. Two high ranking tanks were guarding the gate.

Celsius: "See, I was right to be so early. No lines ahead."

The guards immediately blocked them.

Guard 1: "Let me see your papers."

Celsius: "Here." He handed the stamp documents and the signed contract.

Guard 2: "You kids are pretty early going out of the city."

Ray: "Yes, sir." He smiled.

Guard 1: "To be honest with you kids, I don't want to let you go but since your papers got the seal of Guild Master Esley, I had to accept it." (Just who are these kids to obtain permission on going outside? With their ages, they shouldn't have let them.)

Nympha: "Don't worry, sir. I'm a capable tank."

Both of the two guards just nodded.

Guard 1: "Okay step into the gate, you three."

Guard 2: "Good luck!"

As soon as they step into the gate, their bodies instantly dissolve. Celsius and Ray were both quite shocked. The scenery changed and they were brought in front of a two huge boulder facing each other.

"Blehh!!" The two can't helped but to vomit.

Nympha: (These weaklings.) "You guys are so weak."

Celsius: "It's my first time going outside!" He said as he wiped his mouth.

Ray: "I just had a swirling feeling. It made me dizzy…Wait…How come your okay, sis?"

Nympha: (I'm a tanker that's why.) "I'm tougher compare to you two." She looked at the scenery before them. "Welcome to the plains of the earth."

Ray and Celsius felt mesmerized when for the first time they saw the beautiful landscape and the vast clouded sky. They felt small compare to the size of the trees and rocks around them.

Celsius: "This looks promising."

Ray: "Yes it is."

Both gladly agreed with each other.
