Inevitable Fate

After the petrification serpent egg stopped shaking, Jason continued to stare at it with his glowing golden eyes until the conflicting set of emotions within the unhatched petrification serpent's aura began to calm down.

Jason was unsure if talking to it was helping but he felt like doing so.

Once he saw that everything seemed fine, Jason could finally avert his attention from the petrification serpent egg to the more important, and dangerous Mythic Garden's central area.

Since he was distracted before, Jason didn't notice what happened when the petrification serpent entered the center, but from the looks of it, a fight had yet to break out.

This astonished Jason a little but it allowed him to hope that his assumption was wrong.

The distance from his location to the center was several hundred meters, and enough to stay hidden as long as his mana core was concealed and the petrification serpent egg in his hands didn't act up.
