"You are mine Kaia," Cole muttered possessively.
Few minutes later, the doctor came in and oh how happy Cole was seeing it was a lady. Hunter did make use of his brains.
"Greetings master," the doctor greeted as she stared at him. He was holding Kaia's hands and she bit her lips howbeit subtle.
The doctor was quite beautiful. She was always referred to as Doc Kayla and she was one of the few people who were close to Cole.
"What's wrong with her?" She asked as she stared deeply at the lady who Cole apparently didn't want to let go of.
"Do not ask me questions, I suggest you do what's needed of you," Cole snapped at her. He didn't even bother to raise his head to look at her. He only had Kaia in his eyes.
"Fine," she replied to him, howbeit a bit sad. It was torment having to know that the one person who you cared so deeply about doesn't even put you in his eyes.
She walked closer to the bed as she took Kaia's hands into hers. She felt her pulse and pursed her lips immediately.
"What's wrong? Is something the matter? I hope she's fine?" Cole asked as his eyes darted from Kayla to Kaia who was lying on the bed.
"She's just exhausted and it feels like she hasn't had enough rest in the past few days which made her body fall under exhaustion," Kayla gave her observation.
"Will she be fine?" Cole asked worriedly which stunned Kayla. This would be the first time he's acting all worried about someone and that person wasn't her but another.
"Yes, but I will put her on a drip in order for her to recover quickly, once she comes around, she has to be well-fed, note, she mustn't get exhausted or strained or it might cause severe damages to her body," Kayla said as she brought out her equipment.
"You will be fine, I'm not letting you leave, now that you are with me, you will be safe, you and aunt will be safe under my care," Cole muttered as he held Kaia's hands not even bothered about the fact that someone else was in the room.
Kayla paused what she was doing as she stared at them. Her eyes stung with unshed tears and she struggled to fight it. She quickly administered the drip as she gave her piece of advice,
"Once she's done with the drip, you can send for me," she said and hastily left the room.
She slowly rested her back on the wall as she looked up to the ceiling, 'he really doesn't care about me, I have been living a lie these past few years,' Kayla thought to herself as she lost her composure. Tears began to fall from her eyes.
"Doc Kayla, what's wrong?" She suddenly heard someone's voice and she forcefully wiped her tears.
"You are crying, is there any issue, I hope you aren't hurt?" The person continued to probe.
"No, there isn't any issue and I'm perfectly fine, something got into my eyes and it caused a reaction, by the way, what are you doing here Chelsea?" Kayla swiftly turned the tables around.
The lady who turned out to be named Chelsea chuckled.
"It's not like Doc Kayla isn't aware of my what my job in this mansion is," Chelsea paused as she watched Kayla who rolled her eyes. They were not on good times and they always tried to take jabs at each other.
"But if you must know, I came to cook for our new madam," Chelsea said with a cheeky smile as she folded her arms while awaiting Kayla's response.
"Madam?" Kayla asked. Then she recalled the lady who was in Cole's room.
"Don't tell me she's the one," Kayla asked. She thought he only loved her, she had no idea that they were already married.
'How come?' She thought to herself as a sense of foreboding appeared in her.
"Of course, you have met her, she's boss's wife and we all have to respect her," Chelsea replied totally enjoying the look on Kayla's face. It's been a while since she was able to make Kayla speechless which made her feel really good.
"Alright, have a nice day Doc Kayla, I have to get buys, bye," Chelsea said which sounded really annoying to Kayla's ears and she was tempted to shut her up but she had no idea on how to do so.
She left the stairs which was where they were presently to the kitchen as she couldn't be bothered to exchange words with her anymore.
"Darn," Kayla cursed as she paced about the corridor of the stairs. She turned to look at the door of Cole's room before stomping her feet and leaving. It was pointless to hang around.
Meanwhile, Madison got a call from the hospital informing her that someone had forcefully taken Kaia's mom.
"What?" She yelled as she stood up with a loud noise.
"What do you mean by forcefully taken? What happened to your security? How can you guys be so careless?" She threw the question at them once.
"We have no idea but the other party is quite strong, there was nothing we could do but let them have their way," the head of her security told her and that caused her to become angry.
"You guys are all trash, find them for me, I need to see her before the sun sets," she ordered and hung up.
"Argh!" She yelled as she threw everything which was on her vanity table away which made a loud noise that drew her dad's attention.
"What's wrong?" This was the first question he asked once he stepped into her room but a frown settled on his face seeing how disorganized the entire place looked.
"What happened?" This time, he asked more calmly. It would be a lie if he said he wasn't fed up of Madison's excesses. She acted willful and he always wondered why it was so.
"Kaia's mom, I don't know," Madison could not form a complete statement due to the frustration she felt.
On hearing her mention Kaia's mom, Charles became at alert as he asked her in a deep voice,
"Tell me what happened to Keira right now, what happened to her?" Charles thundered which made Madison shudder as she stared at him in fear.
"She's missing okay, I don't know what happened but some men came and took her from the hospital, my men are on it right now," Madison replied as she held her forehead. She was thoroughly exhausted.
"What do you mean by she's missing?" Charles asked as he took two steps back in fright.
