Chapter 13: Why Madison, Why?
"What do you mean by she's missing?" Charles asked as he took two steps back in fright.
"You heard me right dad, I don't know how it happened but she is not in the hospital anymore," Madison replied as she stared at her dad who looked extremely worried.
She frowned as she could guess his next step and true to it, he did as expected.
"I'm going to the hospital, I need to find Keira," Charles said with panic as he rushed to leave the room.
Madison expected him to say that and she had an idea on how to stop him.
"If you leave here, I will inform mom and once I do that, I will implore to also inform her family and trust me, the investment in the company will be cut off," Madison didn't hesitate to threaten her dad.
She knew her dad's weakness was the company. He treasured the company more than anything else and therefore, she used it to her advantage and of course, it worked.
"Madison," Charles called as he turned back only to see a smirk on his daughter's face.
"When did you become so cunning? When did you start threatening me, your dad?" Charles asked in a bitter tone as he looked at his daughter who didn't seem bothered.
"I don't think I have done anything wrong, besides, this is the consequences of your own actions," Madison didn't bother to mince her words, she didn't even care that she was speaking to her dad.
"Madison, mind your words, do not forget, I am still your father," Charles warned as he pointed his right index finger at her.
"Yes, you are my dad but you haven't lived up to your role as a father, you have done terrible things and I'm not pleased to call you my dad," Madison yelled back at him.
She was fed up, extremely fed up. She was tired of acting normal when she wasn't. She needed her dad's care but he wasn't there for her. Instead, he cheated on her mom and got busy with the company instead.
He causes severe pains to her mom and he stands here to call her evil and heartless. Everything which was happening was his fault, no one else.
"You are not a father, you are just my mom's husband, if you want to look for her, I won't stop you, just know that you have to choose between your company and her, I hope you choose wisely," Madison dropped her piece and left the room.
"Darn it," Charles kicked the chair in frustration while causing.
"Darn it!" He yelled as he continually kicked the chair as though it was the chair which wronged him.
"I have made an huge mistake, my own daughter now threatens me because she is aware about the fact that the company is my life," Charles muttered to himself, still kicking the chair in the process.
"What have I done to deserve this? Did I hurt anyone in my past life?" He began to question himself.
Meanwhile, Madison remained rooted in the dining as she wiped her tears.
"Madison, tears are for the weak and your mom didn't raise you to be weak, so wipe your tears," she said to herself as she wiped the tears off.
"It's even better this way, at least my dad won't even bother about the home wrecker, but how will I control Kaia if I don't even know her mom's whereabouts?" She questioned herself loudly.
A confused look morphed on her face and for the first time in her plot of revenge, she actually felt scared and worried. It had been a seamless plan and it was surely going to work out but Keira missing from the hospital might just disrupt her entire plan.
'Forget it, when I get home, I believe mom would have amazing ideas,' she thought to herself.
Her mind then drifted to her modeling career. One thing which she had also snatched from Kaia.
She was expecting a call and she began to search for her phone. It was always two days and they hadn't gotten back to her which was unlike them.
"Where's my phone?" She asked as she searched frantically for it.
"Here," she was suddenly handed the phone. It was from her dad.
"It was ringing so I thought to bring it to you," he explained seeing that she gave him a look.
"Thank you," she snatched the phone away from him and he shook his head. He still laments that his daughter has changed.
"The driver would be here soon, so get ready," Charles announced as he took a seat on the sofa. He didn't look like one who just had a breakdown few minutes ago. He was looking very calm and composed.
"Fine," Madison replied as she checked her phone.

Cole's Mansion
Kaia was still asleep and Cole was with her in the room. He didn't even want to leave her side.
"Boss, you have been in here since, Miss Kaia won't wake up if you stay with her all through the day, you have lots of documents to get back to," Hunter was the one who came in.
"Bring the documents to me, and also get Kayla, her drip is almost over," Cole gave the order. He only cared about Kaia.
"Alright boss," Hunter replied. It was no use trying to reason with him. He only cared about Kaia and it was a good thing as it showed the humane side of his boss.
"Kaia, please wake up, you might not remember me but just wake up," Cole pleaded as he held her hands, his eyes not leaving her for a second.
This was the scene Kayla met with immediately she walked in. The scene stung her eyes so badly so much that she was tempted to take a needle and stab Kaia but she could not, Cole seriously protected her.
"It seems she's done with it, just give her time, she would be awake soon," Kayla suddenly said which broke the silence.
Cole turned to look at her and her heart literally skipped a bit. He might not like her but he never failed to make her heart beat widely.
