Taken by surprise!

"Ronan!"

Lumine screamed. I snapped out of my thoughts. I could feel a heat coming on my backside.

I tried to think of countermeasures but I was too late.

"Human you fool! Standing foolishly with closed eyes on the battlefield!" A hearty laugh sounded. It was speaking gibberish, I mean it's not Teyvat Language.

The ball of flame struck my back. Thankfully, I had leather armor on but it still felt burned in my skin. I was also flung forward.

"Ronan! You vile creature!" Eula who noticed Lumine screaming ran as fast as she could to attack the perpetrator.

The perpetrator is the abyss mage who suddenly appeared behind me. Lumine ran as fast as she could at my side. I was lying on the ground unconscious. She watched at the burnt part of my back.

Lumine sighed in relief as she took out some kind of potion, she poured it on my back. Food can't help you recover mid-battle so there should be potions.

The redness receded slowly.

Lumine grabbed her sword as she watched Eula fight the abyss mage. Her cryo-enhanced claymore hit the shield, it was effective but it could not destroy the shield completely.

It's not because Eula is weak or stronger. It's because of how Elemental reacts. The cryo is effective but not enough for it to be destroyed. Furthermore, this isn't a game where there is a shield bar.

The frustrating part is not the shield damage but it also can deflect physical damage.

As Eula keeps attacking its shield. The Pyro Abyss mage was laughing nonchalantly. It knows that no one can contend it in this group.

Rizark saw the situation hastened himself from defeating his opponent. But who would have thought after the Mitachurl he was facing was defeated another two Mitachurl came right up, blocking him.

"Aargh! You maggots! You dare to block my path." Rizark shouted. His battle intent rages as he faces the two.

Because water is flowing and stationary. It's a liquid form, it cannot be felt by sensation alone. I opened all the memories I had about Water.

"It's shield is hard. Is there a way to destroy it!" Lumine frustratingly said.

"I can chip its shield but it will take a little bit longer." Eula gripped her claymore. But if one focused on her hand, it was trembling. She's losing stamina. Her complexion was also pale. With constant use of vision, it took a toll on her mentality.

"How long?" Lumine asked, she also noticed Eula getting tired.

"An Hour or so," Eula replied.

"Too long!" Lumine gasped. "We were only dealing with it for ten minutes or so."

The Pyro mages were laughing hysterically. It launched a few flame balls at Eula and Lumine. The two of them dodged.

After dodging, Eula sprinted to the Abyss Mage striking its shield again and again. But it was futile. However, Eula did not stop, as she had a chance she wouldn't give up. Just like how she seeks her vengeance, she will not give up.

But as she was too focused. The abyss mage was grinning.

"Foolish Humans!" It danced midair.

Three head-blazing visages appeared around Eula taking her by surprise!

"Curses!" Eula gasped. She covered herself with Cryo Shield. But against pyro attacks her shield is ineffective. It broke immediately. Launching her body in a distance.

Her body rolled on the ground. Her figure became disheveled. Glaring at the laughing abyss mage. Although he doesn't know what it's saying she knows it's mocking her.

Eula tightened her grip on the hilt of her claymore. With a cold and determined expression, she sprinted forward. She wasn't fast but she ain't slow either. As long as that barrier breaks, it won't survive.

"For Vengeance!" Eula shouted. Many thoughts appear on her mind.

The Pyro Abyss mage launched an attack on her.

Lumine appears behind it, striking with her sword. But the Abyss mage remained still, being too confident.

Everyone is so busy that no one is paying attention to someone. Like a still water, Like a flowing water. It remained one with the world.

I'm awake!

"Water haven!"

Hydro elemental particles gather on the tip of my claymore. My claymore is pointing toward the Pyro mage who is preoccupied. The Hydro particles gather slowly, Water Haven, this is the Hydro skill I learned when I was in a trance. It formed slowly into Hydro lance converging around the claymore.

Once the Hydro particles finished forming. I launched myself forward. If I could use Anemo to propel myself forward, I would be like a missile. But I can only singe cast an element for now.

Anyway.

Taken by surprise, the Abyss Mage did not expect this to happen. As the tip of Water Haven comes in contact with the Pyro Shield. It cracked in an instant.

When the Pyro Shield broke, the Water Haven dissipated.

"Lumine, Eula!" I shouted as I body-slammed the abyss mage to Eula.

The abyss mage who lost its Shield screamed. "Aaaah! What did you do? My invincible shield!"

Eula and Lumine were surprised but they did not stop. Eula slashed the incoming Abyss mage.

With that, The abyss mage perished.

"Great Job, Ronan. Glad you're awake on time." Eula came to my side as she praised me.

"I won't take the credit. Eula and Lumine fought hard while I was unconscious. Without you two, I don't know if I'm alive right now." I shook my head. I'm not stupid enough to get haughty, I need to see the bigger picture.

"..." Eula stared at me in silence, arm folded. "You are surpassing my expectations. To have this kind of character, I'm astonished even more."

"Haha" laughing dryly.

"Ronan, you did it." Lumine came to my side.

"I did. I apologize, I was distracted." I bowed my head. It was a big mistake on my part.

"...I will not gloss over it. But you shouldn't do that next time. Such behavior will only become your doom." Eula nodded. Her words strike deeply in me.

I remind myself to not lose focus next time.

"Don't worry Ronan, this was your fist battle. Such novice mistakes are not uncommon." Lumine reassured me.

"..." Hearing that. I became dejected. Of course, I know that. I just forgot.

"I hate to interrupt but girl you should not belittle yourself. You are strong, you helped me. If not for you too, I would already have fallen." Eula interrupted me, she patted Lumine's shoulder.

When she heard Eula, Lumine's eyes shone as she smiled. "Thank you."
