Day One With The Academy Girl: A Grand Quest

"So I heard you were entering the tournament that's happening maybe in a month or two? Are you doing it for the prize or just to test your battle skills?" Kali asked as we walked down the halls together.

"Well I wasn't gonna enter at first, but Faylen seemed to want me to enter so I guess I'll just be there to show my battle skills." I shrugged and placed my hands in my jacket pockets. "Also why are we at the academy?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot to get some assignments from Ms. Desiree. I'm kinda failing, ehehe..." Kali blushed and rubbed the back of her head.

"Eh..? How could you be failing?" I asked.

Kali just giggled then opened the door to Ms. Desiree's class. "Ms. Desiree! I'm here for my extra assignments!"

We walked into the class and saw Ms. Desiree talking to another woman. I looked at the both of them. Ms. Desiree had long brown hair and wore round lens glasses. She had on a black button up shirt and a short black skirt. She had on stockings that only came up to her thighs. The other woman had black hair, but her hair was shaped into a bun. She also had on round lens glasses. She had on an unbuttoned blue button up shirt with a black crop top underneath. She wore black booty shorts as well. Both of them had the sexy teacher stereotype except I was already used to Ms. Desiree, but the other woman really had it going on as well.

Your mission is to find a legendary Mecha named Destiny and take a picture of her. Leon your task is to protect Kali. Getting to Destiny is no easy feat. You would need a Power Level of at least 200." Desiree said. "Of course with this task you would need to put your training into fruition."

"200 huh? I got this! I've been practicing my magic! Let's do this Leon!" Kali smiled.

"I don't wanna do this anymore Leon!" Kali hid behind me as we were surrounded by bandits.

"This forest belongs to our leader! You will not pass through here!" A bandit yelled.

I looked around for an escape route and couldn't find one. I grunted then looked at the bandits. "Kali, stay behind me.."

I dashed forward to the bandits. Kali watched and hit behind a tree. The bandits yelled and dashed to me. I dodged their attacks then kicked one away. I summoned my sword from my flames. My body flickered then I appeared behind a bandit. I heard a clang then looked surprised.

"Heh, we know about the Body Flicker Slash..you can't get us with such a level one move!" A bandit said as he kicked my side.

I grunted then stumbled to the side. I blocked a slash from another bandit. Another rushed at me then punched my stomach. I groaned then was kicked away. I hit my side on a tree then grunted. I panted and opened my eyes. I noticed a bandit running to me.

"Tempest Fury!" A voice yelled and blew the bandit away.

I noticed Faylen running to me and she helped me up. I grunted and held my arm. "Thanks.."

"Hmph! You're an idiot for trying to fight these guys all on your own." Faylen said then looked around.

"I may be down an arm, but I can still get my job done." I said.

"Hmph...then feast your eyes on my skills." I said as I was back to back with Faylen.

'They are so cool...I want to be like them.' Kali thought to herself.

"Show me instead of talking. Maybe you'll impress me." Faylen said then dashed to a bandit.

I dashed to a bandit and slashed. The bandit blocked my attack then was punched by a blue fire fist. The bandit grunted and slid back. I summoned two flame arms behind me. I tossed my sword in the air then one of the hands grabbed the sword. I dashed to the bandit and the hand holding the sword slashed down, releasing a large blade beam. Multiple bandits groaned as they were hit then fell to the ground.

Faylen twirled her bow in a circle and shot three arrows in the air. The arrows burst into thousands of tiny arrows then crashed down. The bandits yelled in pain from the arrows piercing through them, dying on the spot.

Faylen and I cleared out the bandits and panted. I held my arm then Faylen walked to me. We heard footsteps approaching then looked ahead. A howl radiated in the air the a man appeared behind me. I looked surprised then looked back and was punched away. I crashed into a tree then he appeared in front of me. Faylen shot wind magic at him. He dodged the attack, causing the magic attack to hit me. I groaned and fell forward. I fell on my knees then held my stomach and coughed.

"What the hell?" Faylen looked around then was punched in her face. She was blown away and crashed into a tree as well then fell forward.

"What do I do..? Who is this guy..? How can I help..? I feel so useless.." Kali whined softly then watched the man walk to me. "Leon.."

I grunted and stood up slowly. The man snarled as he watched me. He went to bite me then sensed a magic attack from Kali. He dodged the attack and jumped back. I looked at Kali. "Kali no, stay back..!"

"No! I have to fight too! I can't stay back and just allow you to do all the fighting!" Kali said as orange aura surged around her hands. "I will not be weak!"

The man snarled and looked at Kali. He dashed to her then went for a punch. Kali looked at the man and inhaled then let out a scream. We all groaned and covered our ears from Kali's ear piercing scream. Her breath began to freeze the man's chest.

He growled then tried to move. He fell on one knee then howled. Kali stopped screaming then stumbled back. She panted then cleared her throat. She sang a note and the air began to get colder. The man's body began to be covered in ice. Soon, the man was frozen.

"What the fuck..?" Faylen looked at Kali and looked surprised.

"What kind of power is that?" I asked.

"Supernatural Voice. A rare ability and not common amongst Elves." Faylen said then stood up from the ground.

I looked at Kali then she looked at me. I smiled at her then she smiled back. She rubbed her neck and blushed.

"I'll be joining you two until you've exited the forest..There is some controversy going on and with these conditions, an extra person would be a huge help." Faylen nodded
