Frost's Greed (Marvel)

Everyone follows Xavier, the idealist. Everyone worships Magneto, the extremist. None dare to disrespect Apocalypse, the militarist. But what about the final of the big 4. The one who has lost their students at every turn. The one that walks down the darkest path and is unwilling to put their faith in none outside of their circle of trust. The one that cares not about how humans view mutants nor about the infighting of others. Whose only true care is for the students. This is not a story about her but about a student of hers that believes in her ideas and teachings. Not about peaceful coexistence or mutant supremacy or survival of the fittest. To strive for a brighter tomorrow, even if they have to make it through the blackest night. This is the story of one boy following learning how to be a mutant in a world that hates him under the teachings of the White Queen. He will go from an inexperienced kid to one of the most important mutants in the world ------------ I'm guaranteeing this story for a year, averaging a chapter per day (major holidays may get no chapter or more chapters.) This means that this will be my longest and most secure story, and hopefully the best, on the site. *Warnings! Warnings! Warnings!* - This takes place in an AU of Marvel. So while most things will remain similar to what most people are familiar with, there will be some changes (Some characters being mutants or mutates, etc) - He will start off weak power-wise. He will become very powerful eventually but not for now. He must earn the crowd's favor. - This will be a harem.

Jack teleported away and frowned, the burns on his right arm quickly healing until his arm looked as pale and flawless as before.

'Fuck this!' Jack cursed mentally, looking at the planets around him that were cracking due to the constantly change in temperature from his and Vulcan's clashes.

The pair had been battling for only 10 minutes but the entire system was nearly destroyed as almost each planet's size was decreased by almost half.

Vulcan was charging toward Jack who created a large wall of black ice but he knew the barrier would only slow him down for a few moments.

'Gabriel is truly on of the most dangerous mutants around when he gets prep time and has no morals. He's basically Galactus in human form,' Jack was thinking of a plan to take out Vulcan but he didn't have too many options.

Vulcan was able to even absorb the energy of his abyssal magical energy if Jack didn't form a spell with it fast enough. His cold energy was also absorbed, leaving Jack with only being able to create ice constructs to try and take down Vulcan but with all the energy he had, he was able to keep healing himself from the wounds inflicted or create a barrier that could protect him. Even as they fought, Jack could tell Vulcan hadn't grown any weaker since he absorbed energy from Jack and the cores of the planets around them.

'Should I just go and kill Havok? Havok is immune to his powers and can actually damage him,' Jack knew Vulcan's weakness but he didn't want to leave Vulcan alone for even a second. Vulcan could end up flying away and absorbing even more energy. There was also no guarantee that this plan would work since Jack wasn't actually related to Havok. It could be the type of energy that Havok produced that Vulcan wad weak to or just Havok's exact energy.

'Crap. Can't do that. Magic clone wars and all that. Let's make that Plan Z then. Now we just gotta come up with Plan A through Y,' Jack thought as Vulcan crashed through the ice and punched at Jack, his fist surrounded in flames, electricity, and raw energy.

Jack quickly covered his fist in black ice and the scales of his dragon form to match the blow, causing another explosion of frost and flames.

'Teleport him to Limbo? No. I survived there as a kid. He will definitely survive,' Jack thought as he dodged a massive torrent of flames

'Depower him? He has that energy field around him and by the time I pierce it, he would have killed me 3 times at least,' Jack summoned pillars of black ice from 5 directions before sending then at Vulcan. Vulcan created a barrier around himself that was able to take the bull brunt of the attacks but he was pushed back a few thousand miles when Jack appeared in front of him and punched at the barrier.

'Do I really need to kill him?' Jack felt conflicted. He had several ways to kill Vulcan but he was desperately hoping it would not come to that. He could tell that Vulcan was not well, not actually being malicious or even.

Jack looked at the human meteor surrounded by red energy charging toward him as his eyes grew cold. 'No. If I keep hesitating, it won't just be me at risk. I'm risking the entire mutant population. And I won't let that happen.'

'Apologies, Gabriel Summers. You must die today and you won't be coming back,' Jack began to gather a large amount of cold energy in his chest while he transformed into his Titan Form. The humanoid black dragon let out a roar as black ice covered its body before meeting the charge of Gabriel head on.

The pair collided and created another explosion but Jack did not try to gain distance this time. He kept himself close to Gabriel and did not give the latter a chance to breathe.

Even in Titan Form and pressing the attack, Jack was still getting damaged but his wounds were healing just as fast as he got them. Gabriel was slightly better off since his barrier was blocking each attack but each block drained a large amount of energy from him as he had to disperse the force of the blows.

Gabriel saw an opening in Jack's attacks and took it. He charged forward, punching through Jack's scale until he reached the skin underneath. This time, Gabriel was prepared for the Jack's healing factor as he kept unstable energy all around him, preventing Jack from healing.

Gabriel continued to dog into Jack's chest until he reached the dragon's heart and stabbed through it with all the energy he had. But this was the biggest mistake that Gabriel had made. Jack had created that opening for this exact moment.

The moment Jack's heart was pierced, cool wind emerged from it and instantly caused Gabriel's arm to freeze before quickly spreading over the rest of his body as well as the star system they were inside the the next few systems. Even Jack himself was frozen due to the cold that was released.

Everything within a few hundred lightyears was frozen solid, having been brought down greatly in temperature while those at the center were at Absolute Zero.

Gabriel was the master of energy while Jack was the master of cold. They were truly opposites as cold was just having less heat and energy than something else and at absolute zero, it meant that an object had no energy whatsoever. Even then, it was only theorized as no scientist, from Earth to the best of the Kree, could mimic it. Only a true primordial force of nature or master of magic had any hope of proving absolute zero.

Jack was a master of magic and cold but getting down to absolute zero was nearly impossible for him to achieve normally even with his skills. He had to transform into his Titan Form before creating black ice inside himself and destroying it millions of times over, constantly adding cold energy to it before dispersing it, thus creating an area filled with the freezing temperature Jack helx within his heart.

Jack teleported back into the area and saw his clone was killed by the energy he created as well as Gabriel. He could also sense the countless lives that were ended by his ability but Jack was not as affected as he was the last time. His resolve had grown and he knew what he did was necessary.

Jack began to slowly absorb all the ice that he had created but making sure to raise the temperature so he would not be frozen as well.

-------

In a distant place, a large purple humanoid sat on a throne and looked at the scene of Jack absorbing the ice through a black screen that was surrounded by blue energy.

"I gave him all those places he could absorb and the mental push but he still failed me. At least those lives will please my beloved," the creature spoke aloud, not truly speaking to those around him

"Lord Thanos. Should we go after him?" A creature with pale, wrinkly skin asked

"No. We will wait for the right opportunity. His actions with the gods last time and from today will have many enemies at his doors. Let them wear him down," Thanos told his subordinate as he raised a massive, golden gauntlet with 6 jewels in it. He looked closely at the orange jewel that had a barely noticeable chip in it before continuing. "When he is tired. When he is weak. That is when we shall strike. Not a moment sooner."
