CHAPTER 38: THE INEVITABLE

The arena itself was crumbling and shaking viciously. Zane's power increases exponentially with each moment that passed. His figure beginning to shrink through the light. Then growing larger once more.

While the elder saw on the other hand was something entirely different... a female figure behind zane. Only a select few rob's noticed this change. The elder was upset, gritting his teeth in the process, knowing who this was.

" So... she chose you... " the elder said quietly, directing the statement at zane, with the shadow, as if hearing what he said, she looked towards him with a grin. While wrapping her hands around Zane's upper body.

Back to the fight. Barmis was sweating intensely... he vaguely saw the female figure behind zane. Watching him with disdain. Her eyes pierced his very being, as if she looking at his very soul, peering into everything he had done his life. Judging him by his every action he had taken. And finding him obnoxiously unworthy. Looking at him as if he was less than dirt itself, then looking back at Zane's ever changing figure with visible affection. His metamorphosis nearing its completion.

Zane's figure was now revealed. His height being around 7ft. His hair was still its black with a faint dark blue sheen with it being slightly spikier than before. His eyes remained relatively the same, only getting a bit darker with hints of emerald green compared to before. Towards his lower back, now he had a tail that had the same color as his hair.

But his power, it was rising every second, getting exponentially greater than before. Opening his eyes a bit more, zane looked ahead of himself. He looked towards Barmis. He realized that he had kept his sanity, which surprised him. His emotions were more stable than before as well, but he felt something different occurred within him, causing that change. Curious, he willed the tendrils forward, only to see black ones instead of red ones. Immediately, he understood what had happened.

It was as clear as day. He developed the red-light to the next stage, giving him increased benefits and uses of the virus. Seeing Barmis' expression, that was sweating bullets. By taking his DNA, he saw what Barmis truly was and... what he had done throughout his life. It disgusted zane to no end. It almost made him want to forget consuming it in the first place.

Initially, Barmis was a decent person, but when he got reincarnated into the dragon ball world, getting his new bloodlines and other abilites through his system. He slowly became corrupt, thinking no one could stop him, and he was right. Goku was killed by him, as well as Vegeta including a majority of the main cast, ruling planet vegeta as a whole after. He went to earth taking countless women and doing what he pleased with them, including the aforementioned future spouses. Killing off races simply because he could.

He became a tyrant. After that, his goddess, which surprisingly. Seemed like a decent being, couldn't do anything to stop/interfere with Barmis. It seemed like the robs couldn't peer into their champion's future or do anything to stop their actions during their new life. Countless times she told him to change, but he didn't. He was too far gone. After the arena came into existence, she seemed to have no choice but to use the bastard. He was her first and only champion. He didn't even stop there. Even though he was able to spare them during the fight, he killed other reincarnates for pleasure. Which made the elder to make it mandatory for others to fight to the death. The other rob's enjoyed it, so the elder must have given them what they wanted.

This prospect filled zane with immense rage. He wouldn't. NO, he couldn't spare such a person. Seeing the faces of so many innocents being killed and women being raped, with mass extinctions, made his decision more than concrete. Turning towards Barmis. Raising his killing intent to unseen heights. Zane instantly appeared before him, using KIAI to launch hundreds of punches towards critical areas on his body, with the impact throwing him across the arena instantly. Imbedding him into the wall.

Looking visibly furious and surprised, Barmis spoke with clear vitriol in his voice.

" URG! TCH! H-HOW! HOW DID YOU GET SUCH POWER!! " Barmis said angrily. His power rising to heights never seen before due to his anger. The opponent he was facing now could be considered an entirely new being. Without wasting time, Barmis knew he was going to need full power. Something he didn't think he had to do, ever. His instincts were screaming, telling him that the being he was now battling was dangerous, incredibly so.

Charging up, he activated his legendary state, which was orange instead of the usual green, now with god-chi stacked. His hair became spikier, glowing with a star like essence, no, like a cluster of galaxies. Then adding a new Chi to the mix. Stacking all that power, he used destruction-chi, changing the normal orange, adding a shade of purple. His body bulked up considerably. A pity, Zane knew, that when he activated this form, his other abilities become null, simply because he had no control of himself when he accessed it.

This was his version of 'ultra ego', he called it 'ancient ego'. Zane was unfazed. At this stage where his power was currently, no matter how many forms Barmis created or used, it would end the exact same way. His end would be brutal.

" Barmis... trust me when I say this. " Zane looked towards Barmis, with a righteous fury in his gaze. Saying. " I. AM. THE. INEVITABLE. " Zane continued coldly, with his eyes glowing in the process, making even the mindless Barmis flinch, only to get even more enraged. Dashing towards zane, Barmis launched numerous blows that were easily getting parried and blocked by zane. No matter how much hundreds of times stronger Barmis became within seconds, zane was already leagues ahead, no. Dimensions ahead.

It wasn't as if zane got that powerful already instantly. He only acquired some of Barmis' abilites and half his base of power. It was simple. The combination of so many bloodlines with the evolution of his virus made the adaption millions of times faster than even Barmis' own. Technically, the fight was essentially over before it even began.

Zane, not wanting to play around anymore, simply grabbed Barmis' now 15 feet body into the air, with Barmis struggling to escape his grip. Zane moved at speeds that surprised even some of the rob's initially. Dashing towards the rigid part of the arena, then slamming Barmis' head on it, knocking him out in the process and dragging his face across the arena's edges, hundreds of times over.

With Zane hearing 10s of thousands of misery in his mind because of this person. Zane finally shook himself out of his thoughts of it, seeing hell in the eyes of his opponent's victims. Finally looking down, realizing that Barmis was dead. Only a moment had passed for zane, yet half an hour had passed for everyone else. With tears falling from his face. Unbeknownst to him..

Suddenly the elder's voice became known. " After a gruesome scene between them, the fight between Barmis and zane, is now over... congratulations, Zane is the winner. " The elder said, with a hint of venom.
