Forging my Legend in One Piece

A truck.....a massive eighteen-wheeler hauling maybe 4 tons of cargo burning rubber at a hundred miles per hour down a public street.

That was the last thing I saw before I died, what was I doing before? Just buying some manga, something I did at least once a week it just so happened that this one time it would end with my body getting sent flying 20 feet before slamming into a wall of a nearby store.

I had about one second of life left but in that small window of time, my entire life flashed before my eyes. I was a nobody I had nobody who would remember me. If there is an afterlife or reincarnation I won't die as a nobody, even if I die at the age of thirty I'll go out in a blaze of glory something that will be remembered long after my death.

Never knew my parents floated from orphanage to orphanage. It was a miracle that I even got into college, after four years of working for a degree I never used I settled into accounting.

Opening my eyes, I found myself sitting across from an old man floating, looking around, we appeared to be floating on a giant cloud that never seemed to end.

" So this is what death is. " My voice echoed sounding aetherial, turning to address the old man I smiled. " So you must be God then. "

The old man chuckled, and with a wave of his hand, a low table appeared with two shot glasses and a bottle of amber liquid. Pouring the drink the old man placed one of the glasses in front of me as he gestured for a toat.

' Ah, what the hell. ' Picking up my glass I gestured to the old man before tilting my head back and downing the ambrosia in one go. And ambrosia was the only word I could describe the drink as all the good memories of my life came flooding to the forefront of my mind leaving me in a state of euphoria.

" Everyone has the same reaction, shame I can only drink this when the good ones come through here. "

For the first time, the old man spoke his voice steady despite looking over a thousand years old.

" And to answer your earlier question yes I am a god one of trillions, but enough about me I assume you know what's going to happen. "

" Is it time for me to choose what wishes I'll get in the next life, this scene is almost straight out of an iseaki novel. " The good chuckled as he poured another drink.

" Right you are boy, but this isn't fiction there are rules. First, everyone gets three wishes to reincarnate with if they meet a certain Karma level which you do. Second, the power of your wishes will have some backlash in your next life.

For example, you can ask for omnipotence but you'll face divine tribulation before taking a step in your new life. The third and final rule is that you can never tell anyone about your previous life or wishes. "

" What happens if I do. "

" Don't tell anyone, I don't want to see one of the good one fires die to something like that. "

Shrugging I moved past the moment of awkwardness, " Well I already know my three wishes I actually made a list in college. I want to reincarnate in the world of One Piece, with the ability to infuse objects with devil fruits and above all else I want you to give me the strength to continue on no matter the circumstances. "

" Eh does that mean I'm a god now I've drained at least three bottles on my own. " The god's eyes regained clarity as he looked at the pile of empty bottles.

" It's hard to explain but just imagine your soul as everything that makes you unique memories, personality, etc. Now your body is a vessel for your soul, and since your soul has become significantly stronger by your standards your body will have to match its strength. "

" So just make me a stronger body, and it will all be fine. " I still had a slight buzz from the ambrosia so everything wasn't completely clear to me.
