Forbidden Reliance

Isla and Sila have always been each other's only solace. Born to a mother who died during childbirth, and raised by a father who never cared for them; they quickly understood that if they wanted happiness, they needed to earn it themselves. This is a story of a pair of twin sisters that set upon a journey towards a life full of adventure, intrigue and caution; struggling to reach the peak of strength. How will the two fare in this cruel 'dog eat dog' world? Will they reach the pinnacle they hope to see? Or will they fall helplessly, like countless others that had taken that road before them? Neither of them know the answer, but they're certain, with each other by their side, they're willing to try their hardest. TW: Possibly Includes- Incest, Violence, Sexual Assault. Chapter 35

Isla opened her eyes, only feeling soreness throughout her body. She couldn't help letting out a slight breath due to the pain. Looking up she saw a white expanse with densely packed colours right in front of her eyes.

It took her a few moments to understand that she was being held by Sila on the bed, without a shred of clothing between them. The memory of the previous fighting and chaos, as well as the subsequent fight between the sheets made Isla feel a headache coming on.

Her intermittent sighing had alerted Sila, who woke up and looked down at Isla's frowning face. She lowered her head and kissed Isla's forehead gently, "Morning sister" she said in a hoarse tone.

Isla was still a little muddle headed, but when she felt Sila kiss her, she still couldn't help feeling warm in her heart. Everyone wants to be cherished, especially after doing something so intimate. But she couldn't let this go to Sila's head, otherwise where would her dignity as the eldest go. So she still said trying to hide her blushing, "Yesterday was mostly accidental. I know you've been waiting for my answer, and I'll at least say, I don't regret what happened, but I still would like you to give me a little more time to accept us" she looked into Sila's eyes, "Okay?"

Sila couldn't help it when Isla gave her that hopeful look. She could only sigh inwardly, "I will always follow your wishes, Isla. You don't have to walk on eggshells around me. Your opinion has always been the most important to me".

Isla felt tears forming, so she buried her head in Sila's warm chest, whispering "I'm sorry".

"You don't ever need to say sorry for this. If you were to accept me just because you felt like you needed to, then that would hurt me far worse than any amount of time waiting.

I love you, regardless of whether it's as a sister, or as a partner." Sila explained with the utmost seriousness.

Isla couldn't hold back her sobbing. She was supposed to be the mature one, but Sila was always the one consoling her when she was in need.

Sila gently caressed Isla's trembling back, her eyes full of doting. She knew best that her sister was having trouble accepting more than a sibling relationship. She was also haunted by these thoughts when she first realised. Sila knew that she was lucky Isla was even willing to be around her after she confessed her feelings. She remembered exactly what Isla had said to her after that.

"It must have been hard keeping it to yourself all this time. Sila, I don't want to give you false hope, but if you're willing to give me time to think about it; one day I'll definitely give you an answer, whether good or bad".

Now she could see Isla starting to show her a little bit of affection, she was nothing, if not patient. She didn't know if last night's events were for the better or not, but she can't lie and say she didn't enjoy it. However she would rather Isla be completely willing, then to rely on such involuntary means again.

Isla seemed to have calmed down, feeling a little embarrassed, so she quickly rubbed her tear stained face on Sila, as a punishment.

Sila's chuckle came from above her, which made Isla blush again. She reluctantly left the warm embrace, but seeing the sunlight intruding in through the closed shutters, she knew it was time to get up. "It's almost time to meet up with that group again. Let's bathe quickly, then find something to eat and we'll head towards the meeting point" Isla said standing up in front of Sila without embarrassment.

Sila took Isla's outstretched hand, standing up with her strength. This was one of the reasons she couldn't help but love Isla. Even though Isla knew of her unreasonable thoughts, she never shied away from her after finding out. The two had always been extremely close, much closer than even regular twins. They'd bathe, sleep, eat and move around together all day. She thought that Isla would be a little averse to her presence when she knew of her sisters untoward thoughts, but she didn't even hesitate to continue doing every activity together, which settled Sila's uneasy heart.

Now even after having sex, Isla didn't once show that she wanted to avoid each other. She felt like the luckiest person in the world to fall in love with Isla.

The two washed off all the evidence of their nightly antics, but the room was a foregone conclusion. The broken furniture and ripped sheets showed that the price was going to hurt when checking out.

And indeed it did. They were charged another 20 gold coins for cleaning and damages, but the two of them smiled at each other. A costly, but unique memory for the both of them.

After such an event, even if Isla said that they would maintain their previous level of relationship, the sisters still showed some inadvertent intimacy. Whether it was holding hands down the street, or helping the other brush their hair behind their ears. The two who were already extremely affectionate in the eyes of outsiders, became even more so.

Delia who was dutifully standing behind her lady, was most aware of this. She had originally thought that these twins were close, but she knew that twins usually had a different level of closeness than regular siblings, but after going through a bout of aura madness, why did these two seem to be closer?

If it was her, after venting out all the strength she had, don't say they could remain the same, but there would at least be a rift between them. Now she sees an entirely unexpected situation, which made the former vice captain of the royal knights finally find a truly interesting pair.

Unfortunately she didn't have time to pay much attention to them because just as Erin said, the other teams that recruited prospective students had finally gathered in the city. Now the original convoy had grown exponentially, it looked like a small army. The senior students all gathered to discuss the plans, while the academy guards were busy packing the supplies, leaving the recruited candidates alone to mingle together.
