Before Lucas could flick around to run, Stone pounced on him and then pinned him to the ground; he snarled at Lucas with thick saliva dripping from his mouth into Lucas’ forehead. Lucas tried escaping from Stone’s grip but he was too strong for him to push him away.
“Get off me, freak!” Lucas cried out.
“You are one of us now and you can’t deny it.”
“Screw you!” yelled Lucas. Realizing, there’s nothing he could do to push Stone off him. He slowly shuts his eyes breathing heavenly. He has never encountered someone as strong as Stone. Even Jack can’t be equated to the strength of Stone. He was hoping when he could open his eyes, this nightmare will end.
Stone slowly releases Lucas from his grip as he dragged him to his feet, “No one keeps Alpha Jones waiting,” he said.
“Get your filthy hands off me,” Lucas cried out once more. He started writhing trying to escape Stone but Stone firmly held his grip on him.
“If you quit fighting, it will be better for us all.”
Within a few minutes of Lucas’ struggle with Stone, the front door was slammed open as Jane walks in narrowing her gaze on Stone. “You will let my friend go now,” she said in a tiny voice.
Stone stared down at her and burst into laughter. “Who will stop me? You?” he asked scoffing at Jane. To him, he was only seeing a 17-year-old girl as he have already sized her up with his eyes. Jane’s appearance and personality have made Lucas have secret feelings for her but he doesn’t have the boldness to tell her how he feels for her. She just turned 17 a few days ago. Her titian red air always got young boys of her age staring at her each time she passes by. Her shapely figure sat well on her triangle waist. She always had a cheerful personality.
However, Jane’s cheerful personality has been put off by Stone’s actions towards Lucas. She didn’t just leave when she bid Lucas bye. She sensed something strange was about to happen. And for this, she stalks Lucas’ apartment trying to figure out what.
“You might be seeing a young girl, but I’m more than that,” Jane said as she quickly raised her right hand, the front door slammed shut.
“You think a few tricks will scare me, huh?” Stone roared pushing Lucas away.
Something seems off. Lucas drags himself up and stared at Jane with disbelief. He has known Jane since they moved into New Orleans. However, he didn’t know her to be a girl with powers. Perhaps, this is why Jane has always wanted to be left alone. Unlike every other young adult in the city, she has stayed away from attending Orleans High School even when it’s clear she’s not done with High School. ‘Perhaps, she’s one of the witches,’ Lucas thought to himself. He can’t say what she is but definitely, she’s not like anyone else.
As Stone stretched his hand to grab Jane, she flew at a speed of sound and stood behind him. Stone flicked around again to grab her and she repeated the same thing. At this time, Stone concluded in his heart that she must be one of the witches. Believing he’s one of the witches enraged him. “Is that all you got?” he asked as he slowly turns with his eyes fixed on Jane.
“You have to leave before you hurt yourself.”
On hearing this from Jane, Stone was enraged the more as his eyes glowed yellow. His nails grew into claws and his teeth into fangs. He snarled at Jane and quickly launched himself towards her but she was fast enough to fly at the speed of a sound.
Lucas was spellbound that he couldn’t say a word but to watch. The girl he thought was calm and cool, however, is something supernatural that he still can’t figure out. They have been living as neighbors but Lucas didn’t know much about her. She’s not the type that easily associates with people.
“You have to leave now before you hurt yourself,” Jane said staring at Stone with a stone face gaze.
The werewolves believed they are the strongest and the fastest. Jane is trying to prove otherwise to Stone which made him angrier. All he could think of now was how to tear Jane limb by limb until nothing is left of her. “I have had enough of this!” roared Stone as he moved towards Jane faster than the eye could see. He quickly grabbed her by her throat and lifted her above the ground. “Let’s see how this ends,” said Stone.
“Let go of her now!” yelled Lucas.
“Or what?” Stone asked with his eyes on Lucas.
Without saying a word, Lucas charged toward Stone but before he could do anything, Stone kicked pushed him sending him across the couch.
