When the girls heard his question, both of them blinked several times to allow his words to settle in.
"Husband... what brought this thought about?" Audrina asked as she sat onto his lap.
'Damnit! I should have claimed that spot first!' Seras was cursing her earlier lack of action and vowed not to repeat the same mistake a second time.
"You already know the answer to that, my dear." Abaddon reminded her.
He gently stroked the hair of both his daughter and his wife as he waited for an answer to the question that could decide his future.
"It would be... difficult." Audrina finally admitted.
"There has never been a ruler that was not from the sanguine family line, much less one who was of an entirely different species. I don't know that those nobles would accept it." Seras informed.
