*****Jimin's POV*****
She reminded me of Kara. That is the only reason that I talked to her first.
That moment still haunts me. Her widened eyes when the knife pierced through her skin, her muffled scream and sobbing, the blood, her tears of desperation to stay alive. They give me nightmares even after 5 years.
May be I can't get over Kara throughout my whole life. Because it was my mistake to let her die. It is still my biggest mistake that I couldn't protect her.
The way Diya protested against me while I didn't let her enter the office reminded me of that day when Kara wanted to stop me to go to Kai. But I didn't listen to her. Would I have listened to her then she would've been alive today.
I'm thinking too much nowadays. But why did I say that I'll listen to the reason of Diya's anger towards Jin? I don't even pay attention to any trainee or newcomer in the office and she's just a research fellow whatsoever not associated with us. May be because it's about Jin. I want to protect that person till the end. He means a brother and a father to me.
It's already 6 now. I've texted Diya the place where I'll meet with her. I should be out of office by now because it'll take time to reach.
I turn off the light on my office desk and open the drawer to take out the car keys.
Wait! What is this?? I see a black file with a label "CONFIDENTIAL". I never put this thing inside the drawer. All the confidential files, I deliberately impose the responsibility to keep those on Jin only. Then why is it here?
I open the file. Just when I'm about to turn on the first blank page someone knocks on the door and comes in right way. I get startled and cut my finger on the paper.
Ouuchh!! Someone said, "A4 papers scare more than C4 explosives". That's true. Paper cuts hurt so bad. The file falls down from my hand. I get down to take the file and rise my head to see who it is that came in.
"Jimin, are you busy?" Jin is standing near the door.
"Oh, it's you.. I was actually going out. I have an appointment."
"I have something to discuss with you actually."
"Uhh, okay...but may we do that later today? I'll stop by your apartment while returning. Because it's really important to reach for my appointment within 6.30 pm."
Jin looks so inattentive and something must be bothering him. It's all evident by that look on his face.
"Okay, stop by then. I'll be going home." Jin walks out without getting any response.
I take the file and the car keys with me. I need to see what's in it before anybody else does.
"You've got a new message." I open the text while walking out of the office.
" Hey, long time no see. Shall we have a discussion about this new girl over a cup of coffee? In the cafe that she is waiting for you in?"
I stop for a moment and in the next moment all I know is that I'm running through the corridor like a mad person towards the lift.
I know this number. I know what's going to happen if I don't pay attention to this. I don't want anybody else to die because of me.
I start screaming inside my head, "Just Don't fucking do anything to her. Or I might kill you this time."
