The bags were scooped off the ground and Cliff stepped past him. “Also, if you can avoid it, I mean, I really don’t know how it all works, but if you could possibly keep away any of those questionably pretty guys that would also be great.”
Gerry snickered and pushed off the car to follow. “Too hard for you to ignore, are they?”
Cliff took the steps two at a time, and Gerry had to shake his head in wonder. The idiot still moved damn quick for someone as out of shape as Cliff was. He almost ran right into Cliff when Cliff stopped at the door and feigned thought. “Also, anyone that I know. Because that would get damn awkward—”
“Just get in the house, you moron,” Gerry said, lightly shoulder-checking Cliff through the opening when Angie opened it with a smile.
