A fire raged on at the location where Yolmar and Abel fought. Buildings were destroyed by the blast and what was left of them was burning. Corpses that had been burned into crisps were scattered everywhere.
There was absolutely nothing left in the area that was the main target of the attack. There was a crater that was five feet deep and six feet wide. It was filled with lava. Deep within the larva was a golden grain of sand that was unaffected by the high temperature and was just floating around, being carried along by the movement of the lava.
Inside the darkness within Kane's Plain, Abel was kneeling on the floor, and breathing heavily. He sweating buckets and was clutching his bow so tightly that his knuckles were white. Kane looked up and the images of what was happening in the outside world were projected in the sky above his head. He could tell that his Plain was inside a pit filled with lava as that was what he could only see.
