Making Contact
At this point, Mug's body was already charred and smoldering. Nelson and Jaydee went around, collecting their spoils of war without talking much among themselves. They picked up Oknac weapons scattered on the floor and dug out their cores which were either green for those who had earth elemental affinity or red for those who had fire elemental affinity.
When they were done, Nelson contacted his superior and informed her of their battle with the Oknac and the strange cave at the side of the mountain. They were then ordered to hold their position while the rest of the raid team arrived. After cutting off the call, the two men took off their exosuits and turned them back to backpacks that were carried on their backs. They then took defensive positions and focused most of their attention in the direction of the Oknac town.
