Chapter 39 Blind Date Ahead!

"Could you be a bit more ladylike?" The roaring voice from the phone finally stopped, and Lena brought the phone back to her ear.

"Sis, look at how many times I've called you, how many times you've hung up on me. If I act any more ladylike, would I still be Alice?"

"Fine, just say what you want!" Lena replied impatiently.

"It's early in the morning, what's the rush? It better be something important."

"It's urgent!" Alice sounded anxious.

"What happened? Who upset you?"

"My mom!" Alice said helplessly.

"Come on! If you didn't upset Auntie, that's already good enough. How could Auntie upset you?" Lena replied incredulously.

"Really! My mom arranged a blind date for me this afternoon!" Alice was at her wit's end.

"A blind date! That's great! You should have gone on blind dates long ago! Great! Great! Great!"
