Selfish Desires

[Albedo's POV]

I'm afraid this fight has done nothing but increase in scale… the whole underworld is imbued in chaos and they attacked so suddenly that we barely had the capacity to answer.

I joined my father and mother in his fight against Hades; It is the first time we Nephilims are all active. Mor-chan has already begun fighting Tartarus and Erebus alongside Serafall and her peerage, there are also several rating game champions assisting her.

An-chan is on Earth fighting the God of War while Ben-chan is en route here, coming from the Gremory Territory after dropping Rias and Sona. We're all fighting ferocious opponents from one moment to the other.

The Agares, Belial and Phenex Territories were undergoing harsh warfare, these bastards… I know exactly what their purpose is, to sway the belief of the supernatural community. Attacking the territories belonging to the supremacy would portray the Fallen God Faction as heroes. Their second objective… I assume it is to disclose Lady Calliope's absence. This degree of an attack taking place in the underworld with several primordial gods involved wouldn't have been ignored by her.

If the whole supernatural community joins against the devils… they're finished. I need to speak with Mor-chan about the possibility of evacuating the angels and fallen angels out of the underworld… devils may need to leave as well.

Unless, Richter-sama involves himself which he already said he won't.

*BOOOOOMMMMM!!*

I received Hades' blow and countered it, several skeletal hands protruded from his body in a hideous form that also increased in size, the God of the Underworld is terrifying.

His blue flame is dangerous, burning even my godly armour. My father grits his teeth, his face covered in blood; he summoned several magic circles with different effects with the hopes of buffing down his power and movements, but even then we were on the losing side.

Father sent me a signal and I flew alongside mother away from the side of impact, in the distance a majestic blue dragon blew a breath of plasma towards Hades.

*WHOOOSHHH!!*

Her power was abysmal; my father's tower, Dragon Queen Tiamat.

My mother conjured several spells of light that blinded the eyes of everyone and my father took the chance, summoning a teleportation array towards the Kunlun Mountains, home of the Chinese Pantheon. We'd have normally done so to the dimensional gap, but it has been locked up completely by Great Red after the 'incident'; Annette and Benneth had placed markers in that place and it was one of our strategies; we can't hope to defeat Hades, we can only send him away to decrease their numbers even if momentarily.

"FOOLISH!"

The God swung one of his skeletal hands imbued in blue flames, effectively burning the whole world together with the arrays, why is he so strong!?

He went for my father who had been vulnerable after casting that spell.

I flickered to the front; trying to stop him but I was too late, Hades caught up with my father and they engaged in hand-to-hand combat that my father had no hopes of winning. I joined and so did mother, I tried to tank most of his strikes while mother went for the head with her archon sword, all of us made perfect coordination with Tiamat working as long range, but even then... we were still unable to take this God down!

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE THIS STRONG, BASTARD!" I yelled in outrage, countering one of his blows and making distance all around us.

He is one of the strongest individuals in this universe. That's true, but we're not pushovers either! How can there be this much difference!?

Hades smirked and showed us one of his skeletal hands was holding a black snake; I immediately recognised what that snake was from, but couldn't have ever thought that Hades would reach so low as to borrow power for the sake of this war.

"Ouroboros Dragon… S-Sandalphon…" My father coughed some blood and stated something that didn't serve as a good omen for me; my mother didn't even allow him to finish, flashing him a glare that an angel shouldn't possess.

"Don't even think about it, Ajuka… Tiamat, this is an order... take Albedo away from here, the farther the better!" she ordered the Dragon Queen something that made me yell at her with outrage and poison, these two are intending to sacrifice themselves to save me?!

NEVER!

"YOU TWO, CAN YOU STOP WITH YOUR NONSENSE!?" My halberd crashed against an incoming flame from Hades that was heading towards my father, I'm not abandoning them... if they're dying then I'm also dying here!

A hand rubbed my shoulder, as warm as ever even though the armour.

"I'm the Satan Beelzebub, Albedo… protecting the underworld is my responsibility… our race brought this upon ourselves and as one of the leaders of the Devil Supremacy Faction… I shall bear this hatred".

*BOOOOMM!!*

I felt him blow me away, my gaze looked at him in disbelief as he got farther and farther away. My mother stood by his side, both smiling in my direction while Hades approached him laughing maniacally, a nightmare in which I can't seem to move. A magic circle had been embedded into me, w-what did he do to my body?!

"I'm your Queen, Ajuka and also an Archangel… we shall bear it together".

The next thing I saw was darkness… the Dragon Queen had taken me inside her mouth, flapping her wings away from this mess, leaving my parents behind!

"LET ME GO! I'M TELLING YOU TO LET ME GO TIAMAT! I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T, I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU!"

"Shut up, Brat... don't let it be in vain"

Tears welled in my eyes as I sent desperate messages to my parents, I know exactly what they're thinking and I'm not up for it!

'I love you, Albedo… please be strong, forgive me for being such a worthless father and bringing you to a world undeserving of you, please forgive me'.

'Please don't say that! I love you, Father!'

'My little girl. Don't be so naughty... it is unbecoming of an angel, j-just don't overdo it, brush your teeth and... sigh, I just want you to know that mummy loves you and is proud of you, you're my beloved Nephilim. Please, protect your sisters and become stronger...'

'M-Mother, please don't do this! without you two I...'

I sensed my mother was about to tell me something, and then... all I heard was silence.

'No! NOOOOO!!' I felt my whole world crashing down, my parents... are they gone?!

I SWEAR I'LL DRINK WINE WITH YOUR SKULL, HADES!

All I could do was cry in despair within Tiamat's Jaw; trying to move but unable to... all of a sudden though I sensed how she came to an abrupt stop.

"I-Impossible..." Tiamat said with a disbelieving voice, dragging me into the realm of confusion.

She opened her mouth and allowed me to see what was going on.

My heart stopped. My parents were all right, still floating there with aghast countenances. There was something shiny falling from the skies and my eyes caught the glimpse of it.

The golden statue of the God of the Underworld plummeted to the ground; crashing like a meteor on the Agares Territory.

*BAAANGG!!*

My father and mother were pale like a sheet of paper and the whole world seemed to have stopped… even Nyx and Grayfia-sama had stopped fighting.

We all looked to the skies and saw him in his hybrid form, golden draconic wings extended to their longest span with his scaled arms crossed, disinterested.

It was then that I understood everything and my heart palpitated towards him like never before.

"W-Why, Richter-sama?" My father and mother immediately went to their knees, but they didn't receive more than a mere gaze from the Golden Dragon God whose gaze refocused on the fight between Nyx and Grayfia-sama.

When my gaze set up on my father, I realised that Richter-sama had answered him mentally if his reaction was anything to go by.

"I-I'm forever indebted, Richter-sama...!"

"Think about what your and your faction's actions have led this devil world to; Satan Beelzebub... who is to blame for all of this you know more than anyone else," The Dragon said.

"YES!"

Holding my chest I closed my eyes and smiled, seeing how both my parents were sending me awkward but relieved gazes.

'Thank you, Richter-sama… thank you so much…!'

It was then that I decided... I must belong to him. Later father would tell me that the answer that Richter-sama gave him was not what I expected out of him.
