Clash of Titans I

[Grayfia's POV]

Master saving Ajuka's life was outside of my scope of understanding... he had been floating above all this time, looking at my fight with Nyx and gauging my power. When the war started; Morrighan and her Nephilim girls left the Lucifuge Castle (which is no longer in the underworld) and headed to their different destinations.

Layla was the next one to depart towards the Gremory territory, and while everything was going down, I was inside my master's embrace and he was reluctant to let go. I had to work hard to convince him to allow me to participate... and by working hard I mean working with my mouth.

Richter-sama allowed me to come to the battlefield but he'd accompany me to check up on my progress... the last few months had been... hectic. So many things have happened, and also... Aphrodite.

I could only release an eye roll recalling that goddess, ye another thing I can blame Sirzechs for; she's a subject I don't even want to touch.

I started training my devil fruit and faith, Layla also sparred regularly with me to get more acquainted with her status as an apostle... leaving our private affairs aside; master was working hard to increase our strength in case it was ever needed as Ajuka continued to look for ways for us to track Helius.

He began by training with me and Layla but soon enough the four Nephilim joined eagerly as well. The training regime? simple... try to at least touch master and survive some of his physical-based attacks. It did wonders to increase our strength in the short term, at the very least I know a lot better about the usage of my devil fruit which I keep getting outraged about the more I discover it. It makes me wonder what powers those other three fruits hold.

Nevertheless, what I could have never expected was for our strength to be needed on this scale. A massive war has broken out and I don't even know what to think about it. It can't yet be called war as there is no 'declaration' it could be better called a series of skirmishes all over the underworld and the Earth.

Nevertheless, the political implications of this move could only lead to war... it has been prolonged for this long and 'Lady Calliope' hasn't made an appearance... this is merely a group of rogue gods 'testing their luck'.

But if their luck ends up being successful then... the Chinese, Norse, Hindu, Celtic and Greek Pantheons may more easily revolt against the devils for whatever past hatred they may have... from the beginning the Fallen God Faction is formed from those gods that hold immense hatred for the underworld, not only the ones that hate them but also the ones that are bold enough to show it outwardly.

With this display, the number of gods that will be willing to make a move against the underworld will do nothing but increase.

Just like my master, I have no reason to step on this battle... let alone this is something the underworld curred on themselves... by slaving the rest of the races, by showing an unnecessary degree of coldness towards the supernatural community... retaliation was due and it came.

Sadly, I can't just stand and look at how the place I have fought to protect for so long, crumbles...

My opponent was someone I couldn't have ever dreamt of taking on in the past; the Greek Primordial Goddess of the Night, Nyx.

Although the title of 'Primordial' carries a deep weight on my consciousness after having experienced Helius and knowing master, I came to know quite quickly that she was far from being qualified to use that 'Primordial' title.

I fought her in my Demon Goddess form, Nyx's attacks were darkness-based, something that brought me a lot of sensitivity since that is also one of the authorities that I gained from the Heart Lineage.

"Not only are you a goddess but to think you're also having authorities related to 'darkness' it seems the two of us were fated to fight, Grayfia Lucifuge~" Nyx smirked, creating something that resembled a black hole, it swallowed a gigantic spear of golden ice that I created.

I didn't answer her question and instead kept sending long-range attacks towards her, placing all of the faith I could garner in every attack, and I mean every attack... including the golden magic circle looming beneath her.

Ice may be the main element of my Lucifuge Clan, but I'm skilled in several types of magic.

"Hoh?~"

When the tower of golden flames rushed from beneath, a smirking Nyx stretched her arms widely, creating a dome of darkness around her, it was as if she had engulfed herself into a singularity.

*WHOOOSHHH!!*

Everything wa sucked inside the singularity, until eventually what I believed would happen eventually came to be.

*CRACK!!*

The singularity cracked, unable to take on the strength of the faith I had imbued in my attacks.

Nyx twitched her lips and entered a darkness portal that she created, successfully dodging my pillar of flames that shot to the skies, lighting up the skies of the underworld.

"You have Lord Golden Dragon's power... one way or another, I see... he has transmitted his faith to you... interesting~ is that why you don't use your darkness?"

"You talk too much, Goddess..."

"And you're too boring, how do you manage to keep that dragon, entertained?~"

!!!

"What did you say?"

"I was just wondering if you could keep Lord Golden Dragon entertained by yourself... perhaps not, that is why he had to plunder Lucifer's wife, your sister~"

*RUMBLE!!*

"I'm going to end you, Nyx..."

"How scary~ come at me, Grayfia Lucifuge, with everything you've got~" Nyx flashed a gaze towards my master, it made me question her intentions but I didn't care, how dare she underestimate my maid duties? more so, that hidden innuendo, did she just underestimate my bed skills?!

I managed to catch a small laughter coming out of master's mouth before he coughed, 'Don't laugh!!'

Switching to the more obvious plan, I created a Primordial Gold spear and decided to leave practice and theory aside, I'll just crush Nyx with my greatest strength, physical prowess.
