CHAPTER 27

"What is this? There's a blood... how the hell?" I was suppressing another set of my tears, I want an answer.

We went in and our eyes grew bigger when we saw my old phone on the sink, there are traces of blood on it too. There are also tissues.

"I am no detective but I think. . . this blood is connected to what happened, I'm certain of it."

I held tightly on my phone, from the letter to this blood. Maybe, she's right.

"Your brother's really pale that time and. . . weak, I thought he's just sick and the autopsy result says it's a heart attack. . . so, someone probably tampered it." Many questions are flooding in my mind again, "He left here around 7 in the evening and there were no bodyguards tailing him!"

Shit. My hand's shaking while trying to open my phone and when I saw the message from the unregistered number who texted me that night, my heart's palpitating even more.

From: I knew it's you Andrei and someone told me that Savannah's in Lanao del Norte HAHAHA;-)

I stumbled. Tears are forming from my eyes, no one knows that we're in Lanao del Norte that time excluding Andrei and Jared. The thought came in abruptly, Andrei died in my stead?

"A---andrie died for me?"

I lost my balance again so I leaned against the wall.

"No! Don't say that and if you're always that weak, you're a loser! So, on your feet!"

I continuously nodded, she's right. Andrei died and the chairman's in the hospital. I ain't a loser anymore, am gonna stand still.

"Let's visit the chairman, he has to gain his consciousness back. The chairman's absence has to do with me as her said daughter."

I have doubts already but I am still not sure.

We went downstairs for breakfast and Eloise prepared it.

"Steak for breakfast!" Eloise said, infuriatingly optimistic upon saying those words.

"Let's eat," I eyed Jang and she's telling me through her eyes to calm down.

"Cheer up, let's just eat!" Eloise said and before she could pull the chair, I stopped her.

"Eat? No, you're not allowed to eat here." I said while my fingers are playing with the table napkin.

"Get out." I gritted my teeth.

"But---"

"Get out while I am still holding my patience." She's really suspicious, I know that she's playing something behind my back.

"Come on, enough for such mood." And because I can no longer handle it anymore, I tapped the table with my hands.

"You witch!" I said and gave her a slap using the back of my palm. I pulled her hair out of the dining because she's crossing the line I had set for her.

"Stop it, Savannah!" Miss Jang stopped me but I continued pulling her hair.

"Stop it!" Eloise cried while dodging but I am way stronger than her.

"Young lady, I beg you t---"

"No!" I said and gave her slaps again, "You're a traitor, huh?" I pulled her hair even more.

"You-- you're c---razy!" Hearing the last word maddens me even more, I am not crazy. I closed my eyes while I am hearing noises again so I was already choking her. I am not crazy. I am not.

"I AM PREGNANT!" My senses came back when I heard that shout, someone grabbed my wrist and I am catching for some air.

That was too much I reckon but she deserved that.

I wore a formal dress and I informed Jared that we're visiting the chairman. Mom came home and I am glad that she's smiling because I am afraid that she might harm herself again.

Miss Jang and I safely reached MH, we went to the 12th floor and while Jang's talking to the chairman's nurse, I hurriedly made my way to my father's room but I stopped when a nurse entered my father's room, she's holding a syringe and she's not my father's nurse. I am nervous so I hurriedly followed her.

"Excuse me?" I secretly took my phone from my pocket and scrolled through my contacts, I secretly called Jang.

"Who are---" but I wasn't able to finish my question when she turned her back on me, she's familiar because I think. . . I have seen her before.

"You?" I said, she's even wearing a receiver, she was really the girl inside the bar who tried to harm me and now she's here?

"What are you doing here, huh?" She was laughing while walking towards my direction, she's showing me the syringe and held my hand tightly.

"What do you think?" She pointed the needle on my wrist and I am trying so hard to stop her.

"Who asked you to do this?" I gave her stomach a kick so she stepped backwards and the chairman's just behind her and I am scared, I don't know what's going on with the syringe.

"So you're one of those who killed, Andrei?"

"Hahahaha, that's another topic." Because of my anger, I tried to reach for the syringe but she punched my stomach too. She grabbed my wrist and pointed the needle again on it so I was shivering while dodging her.

"WHO ASKED YOU TO DO THIS? WHO? ANSWER ME! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!" I shouted but she gave me a smile.

"Relax!"

"You're here to kill the chairman too! Am I right?"

I am really nervous when she's already choking me and in a snap, she's already holding a gun.

"You'll pay for this!" I said. I am waiting for her to pull the trigger, I am not scared to die. What I am scared of is dying without winning. I closed my eyes when the door opened: Jared, Miss Jang and the general surgeon I had met inside the café showed up.

In a snap, Jared already gave me the gun, he's really cool for that sudden stunt. Jared even took the receiver from the woman's ear and he broke it. Jared asked me to shot the CCTV camera and I did, the gun is silencer. Miss Jang's protecting the chairman from the woman. Jared's pulling the woman's hair while the other GS was holding the woman's hands.

I pointed the gun on the woman's direction.

"Savannah, don't pull the trigger... please." Jared pleaded but I shook my head.

"She's going to die if she won't tell us the truth," I am threatening the woman."Witch! Who's behind this? Answer me and I'll free you!" I said.

"Don't kill me, I have a family to feed,"

Andrei died and I am willing to kill anywho for justice.

"Who's behind this? Answer me or else. . ."

"T---the director. . . Dra. Dashein Constanier's father. He's the traitor, spare me!"
