I'm not civilized enough to do something like that, and promising you something that makes sense is just my lying to you and myself. dreamland of ducks and sorcery

The darkness was oppressive as an inky black void threatened to consume Donald into its eternal slumber'back here again' he thought his eyes lazily drifted about the void around him.' did I die in my sleep, that would be stupid' he cried for no one could hear his screams in the void of nothing that stretched out forever.'but something doesn't feel quite right its not as cold as before?' he was lost in his useless thoughts before he felt a great lurch deep within his gut as he was suddenly reeled back as if a fish caught on a line. the blackness speed past him giving way to a bright white light that stretched out around him' oh I back in this room neat, guess I'm not dead.'

[no you are not child]a great bellowing voice called out around him echoing into the depths of his mind'wait you can read my thoughts?!' Donald called out in his mind as he spun around to face the impossibly huge figure of the duck before him.[tsk tsk child] the great duck craned it's neck downwards to bring its face and imaculately shining gilded beak before the antlike figure of Donald.[I'm a god little duckling if I couldn't do something so simple I would of been outclassed by those pesky little human mages long ago.] the duck god laughed as if he had heard the most amusing thing in the world leaving Donald stumped before he thought,'wait mages like from fantasy novels and crap that's awesome!' he exclaimed to the duck in front of him with great joy 'so like they are real how can I do that!?' words fell from his lips in a rabbid fashion as he practically bounced off the non-existant walls.[calm down child its not as simple as you seem to think it as] the duck god quickly put a pin in Donald's wild imaginings bursting his excitement causing a look of distraught and sadness to creep upon his face.'what but but you said there was magic and stuff!' he began to retort [and there is but it in not as you think now sit we don't have too long together, just watch and listen okay?]the towering duck before him fell onto its butt with a heavy plomph his form causing the stark white ground to shake ever so slightly.

'okay I guess I can hear you out Donald quietly relented in his mind taking a spot next to the massive duck to sit and listen. [ now these pesky human mages you seem so fond of are nothing more then petty little men playing parlor tricks in the grand scheme of things.] The duck spoke with a bit of brashness in his voice as the white around them gave way to a scenery of lush vegetation all the hues of green. within it a group or robed men stood together in a clearing, muttering indecernable words under their breaths. a great circle of magic being woven in the air before them, swimming with countless runes and shapes layered atop one another. creating a great web of green and blue hues cast across the sky. all Donald could do was be left aghast at the majestic sight before him.[this Is what you would be referring to as magic no?] the duck asked him Donald only weakly nodding in response.[the mages you seem so fond of weave the mana within the air to cast their "elemental" spells. quite the dribble if I do say so myself. they utilize tainted mana in a weak attempt to harness the laws of the world and this is what they have to show for it.] the duck spoke with distance as the scene played out the spell rings stretching up into the sky 14 rings in total formed a massive spell that reached up towards the bounds of the sky. whirling to life the spell crackled and sparked as veins of mana split the sky before it all colapsed together into a disk whirling and twisting as a great Shockwave split forth blasting the trees with harsh wind as a great beam of light shot up into the sky. suddenly the scene paused, as if frozen in time allowing to two to catch a good grasp of what actually was happening.[it's quite impressive no doubt but have you managed to peice together what they are trying to do?] The duck god asked and Donald was about to shake his head before he caught a glimpse of something inside the beam of light. a writhing black mass that looked vaguely humanoid 'are they summoning something?' he asked [precisely what they are doing is summoning a hero, someone to save them from their catastrophe but do you notice something about the spell or about the casters themselves?] the Duck god was not just going to give him what he needed he was going to make Donald work for the insights into the depths of great magic he was showing him. he had not planed on such roundabout teaching but after seeing his determination to make he and his little companion stronger, he decided to wholeheartedly put in the effort for his little duckling to grow into greatness.

Donald pondered what he had been told and stood up walking around the group of mages trying to observe their actions. suddenly he spotted something it was a lose crackle of energy, he thought nothing of it first but after a closer inspection he saw countless if not thousands of thise tiny slivers spreading out across the magics surface and into the air around him.'is it these they look like they aren't supposed to be here?'he was asked the duck who quietly sat behind him. [exactly those lines are impurities and imperfections. their casting is poor and they, while coordinated enough to Cast the spell, are not in sync but those are only minor problems and would not be the cause of such instability.] he glanced Back at the magic around him again trying to make sense of what he was being told was so wrong with the casting.[Here allow me to broaden your horizons a bit so you can truly grasp the picture before you.] suddenly the still life of the scene began to flare up as countless colors and waves filled the scene, the lines surrounding him became jagged and unkempt. the mages body's looked like glowsticks pulsing with waves of mana with peculiar rings wrapping around their hearts.'is that how you can magic' he absent-mindedly asked as he stepped next to a broad shouldered man taking a look at the intricately carved runes and delicate lines of the 7 rings that surrounded the man's heart, they were carefully crafted and slotted within one another forming almost a cage around the man's heart.[they are] the duck replied [but something is not quite right, can you tell me what it might be?] Donald confused took a second careful glance the brand shouldered man's rings heald a bluish hue to them as they flowed over one another like water. time had been slowed almost to a standstill, it still moved but so slowly such that if one were to glance at a huming birds wings, they would move barely decimeters but it was enough to watch how the mana flowed and crackled through the man's body. the mana flowed from his heart's rings up and out his outstretched hand in a jagged formation splicing and coalescing as it went in an erratic fashion the rings appeared to run like a fluid but the closer he looked the more jagged small juts he could see, like friction but that shouldn't be posible it was just energy. then he saw a small glimmer he al.ost didn't even se it, thinner than a Hair he saw a sliver in the man's rings. hairline crackles that stretched throughout the rings, blots of pale color bleeding throughout his body, like spots of deseise they covered his mana form countless fractures and cracks threatening to shatter. while he was deep within the insights of magic the duck spoke behind him[the limit of these mortals is no more than 10 rings they all die before reaching the fabled 11th ring they so desperately chase in the pursuit of the peak of magic, this one has not yet reached that limit but can you guess as to why?] the duck asked a great grin that cut across his face as he awaited the response of donald. a look of horor suddenly split across Donald's face as he was sent reeling back from the man. the greater picture suddenly dawned upon him, and as he glanced about at the massive formation the true horror of his realization dawned on him.' no no it can't be posible how that means!' he was suddenlycut off by the duck looming next to him, leaning down its head to Donald's level [oh yes it does my dear duckling oh yes it does, do you understand why I say these pesky mortals can accomplish no more than parlor tricks?] 'no way how haven't they realized yet!?' he asked [oh they have its just certain forces make it like this, they are selfish creatures limiting an entire planet to barbaric methods for their own self gain.]
