Fifty: The living angel

Dae Ju was sitting on a chair and he suddenly noticed that he couldn't able to move because he was tied to the chair. He was trying his best but he couldn't. Suddenly he heard a loud noise of people who were screaming around him. It was dark but it could understand that he was not alone. Looks like he was the thing of sacrifice from those people. They didn't want him to escape and that's why they tied him up so well. Suddenly a small light was coming to him. Slowly the light was increasing and he saw a beautiful face among the crowd. The face was called by his name.

"Dae Ju-sshi! Come here!" he heard. He was trying so hard to follow her but he couldn't. She was leaving him while calling his name. He wanted to go with her but he stuck on the chair.

"Rumi-sshi! Wake up!" Lina called him and pushed him slowly. Dae Ju woke up and sat down immediately. His face was pale and his eyes were red. He was looking terrified.

"What happened? Were you dreaming?" asked Lina being worried but calmly. She sat beside him and put her hand on his back. Dae Ju came to his sense and tried to calm down.

"It was not a dream. It was a nightmare!" said Dae Ju while breathing heavily. His whole body was wet by his sweat.

"You are sweating! Let me brought a towel for you." saying this Lina wanted to stand up but Dae Ju grab her hand immediately and said,

"Don't go anywhere. Stay beside me." Lina sat down again without thinking anything but she was a bit surprised and she couldn't understand what she should do.

"But you are fully wet. You will catch a cold if you stay like this. Besides, I came to give you pills." said Lina and exceeded her hand from Dae Ju's grab.

He couldn't say anything and stay like a statue. Lina poured some water into a glass and give it to him. Then she took some small containers of medicines and took out one pill from each and give those to him. He just took them like a very obedient boy and drank all of them with water. Then she brought a small towel and came to him. Dae Ju was actually in his thought that's why he didn't notice what was she doing with him. He wondered who was those people and why they tied him up and don't let him go? And why did that angel came to him ad kept saying follow her? She was not helping she was just calling him. That means, he could follow her but he just couldn't find the way to loosen the rope. That's why he stayed sitting and couldn't follow her.

When he was thinking about his dream, Lina kept wiping his face, neck and his palm as it was sweaty too. She already opened the window that's why a cold wind was coming and make the room cold enough. He was like a little kid who couldn't take care of himself and his mom has to take care of him. When the cold wind surrounded him and make him cold, he came to his sense.

"Ah! Stop now! I am feeling cold." said Dae Ju slowly and hesitatingly. Lina stopped and said,

"Then I should close the window." She gets up and went to the window. Though curtains were hanging on the window, those were flying like they just got their freedom. Lina pushed the glass of the window to close it.

"Let it be opened half. I need some wind too." he was saying as he was a ghost and he couldn't say louder than that. Lina listened to him and do what he wanted.

"Go back to sleep. Should I turn off the light?" asked Lina.

"Come here," said Dae Ju. He knows what he was saying but right this moment he thought it would be the right thing to do. Lina came to him but she couldn't get it. Dae Ju holds her hand again and makes her sit on the bed. Then he moves aside and pointed on the blank space. Lina still couldn't get that and look at him with questionable eyes.

"Sleep here. Don't need to turn the light off," said Dae Ju with no emotions. Lina couldn't understand what she should do now. Should she be happy or sad? It's been a long since they slept beside each other. She got embarrassed and she was not prepared for that.

"Why? Are you scared?" by controlling herself she asked.

"Yes, I am. Since you are my angel you should stay beside me and comfort me," said Dae Ju without thinking anything. The word *You are my angel* and *comfort me* was ringing on her ear and she turned red. She understood something else. Though she was not prepared for something else, she gets up immediately.

"Hey! Where are you going? I am scared! I need someone beside me right now to go to sleep." said Dae Ju. This time his voice increased.

"Okay, let me help you to go to sleep again." saying this she sat beside him. She puts her hand on his head and tried to make him sleep by shaking his hair softly. He was feeling great and it was so comfortable that he falls asleep within a couple of minutes. As Lina was sleepy too, she leans on the bed and keeps doing what she was doing. She didn't notice if he was sleeping or not.

When Dae Ju woke up, it was already morning. He could feel that something was in his chest and it was quite heavy. So, he tried to look at that thing and when he understand what was that thing, he was shocked and suddenly he was feeling like that again. His heart start beating fast again right after he woke up and also hot. He would turn red if it was his real body. It's time to get up and get ready for his job. But he couldn't understand what he should do. He didn't want to wake her up but he has to get up. He checked the time and decided to stay like that for some minutes but he failed due to his heartbeat.

Lina woke up by hearing a weird noise. She couldn't understand about the noise at first but when she realized that she fell asleep on Dae Ju's chest, she understood that it was his heartbeat. "Whoa! Sorry!" she gets up immediately.

"It's okay," said Dae Ju with his mixed feelings. He was embarrassed but it feels nice together so he didn't know what reaction he should show towards her. She stood up and as she was not used to these kinds of situations, she couldn't say anything. So, she left from there slowly excusing she has a lot of work. She came downstairs while thinking about what she did. She closed both eyes and shrunk her whole face and then hit her own head with her hand. "You should not do that!" she said in her mind.

When Dae Ju was returning home after doing his job, he has to stop near a Jewelry shop. He was waiting for crossing the road. But he couldn't because the signal was still green and so many vehicles were running on the road. There were too many vehicles with too many passengers. Seems like they all were returning their home after doing their own jobs.

"Excuse me!" two girls were coming towards him. They wanted to go inside the shop and as Dae Ju blocked the door of the shop, they couldn't.

"Ah! I am sorry!" saying this Dae Ju move aside and let them entered the shop. He looked at the shop. It was huge from inside. Many pieces of jewelry were arranging and they increased the level of beauty inside the shop. Some of them could clearly be seen from outside and one small chain attracted Dae Ju's eyes. It was decorated on the display. Though it was thin it was glossing from there.

Suddenly Dae Ju went inside the shop to take a look at that instantly. It was not so heavy worked. It was simple but beautiful just like Lina. He wanted to touch it and the shopkeeper allowed him to touch it. Dae Ju took it and feel the energy of prettiness.

"How much it will cost?" asked Dae Ju. "It's 3,00,000 won." said the shopkeeper.

"Isn't it too costly?" asked Dae Ju. "Mister! It's not ordinary ornament! It's made from white gold. Do you know how costly white gold is? I told you a discounted price. Look at here, it's original price is 7,00,000 won." saying it he showed the price tag to Dae Ju.

"Then, take it. I don't have that much money." saying this he was about to return the chain to the owner.

He doesn't know why but he looked at it again and remembered Lina's face when he saw the chain. He imagines that he is in his original form. He entered him how after doing a lot of work. Lina welcomed him to their sweet home. Lina was a little off because he was late. He dragged her to their bedroom and make her sit near the dressing table. There were some makeup ingredients that Lina used most often. The bedroom is quite big too. The room was decorated so well just like how Lina decorate the room. He told her to close her eyes and she closed her eyes. He put this chain on her neck with a small love-shaped locket.

It was looking more beautiful after it goes her neck. It was shining more than it is shining now. He told her to open her eyes and she listens to him. She was happy and surprised at a time. She said, "It's pretty." In answer Dae Ju said, "You are more than that." Hearing this, she turned into red and get embarrassed by such a compliment. Then, he hugged her from her back. She leaned on him and thanked him shortly.

When he realized what he was doing, he was like he just got an electric shock and he returned it immediately. He came out from the store and had to wait for the crossing signal for once more.

"What just happened there? Why he was imagining such things! He must be going crazy!" he thinks. He has to go out from here or else he will be lost in this trap. But suddenly he doesn't want to leave her. He wants to stay with her.

"No! No! It's a trap and you're gonna step on the trap!" he was blaming himself but he didn't know that he already stepped into this trap and it's like a maze. If he wanted, he could never get out from here.

"Oy! Dae Ju!" called someone from behind. He could recognize the voice and turn back. As he guessed, it was Jheong Woo.

"What?" asked Dae Ju.

"Nothing special! I was just passing by. And seeing you, I stopped." replied Jheong Woo.

"Let's walk together," said Dae Ju. It's turned to cross the road and that's why both of them crossed the road carefully. After walking for some minutes quietly, Jheong Woo opened his mouth.

"Did you found something about that guy?"

"No, I couldn't get time for that." a simple reply from Dae Ju.

"Ah! I could understand. It's hard to figure out something after you have to work for all day."

"Hmm."

"What happened? Why you are off?" Jheong Woo was curious about him.

"Nothing special!" Dae Ju sighed.

"Why you are lying? Can't you trust me?" asked Jheong Woo.

"No! It's not like that! I just... Ah! I can't take these anymore! Let's call the evil and give the body to it. I will go back to my body. Everything will be back in their places and stay like how it was, forever." said Dae Ju.

"You didn't tell that from your heart. Did you?" glaring at him while walking, Jheong Woo said.

"Then what should I do? I found no other way!" shouted Dae Ju.

"You guys are too selfish!" Jheong Woo was stepping frontward a little fast. Dae Ju also increased his speed and reached beside him.

"How could you say that! If we were selfish, then we just stay sitting by doing nothing! We have to think about you guys every day, every moment! We worked for you! We....." he couldn't say furthermore.

"Stop it! Don't come to teach me! I know it very well! You guys just work for getting money! Nothing else!" a hard but true reply from Jheong Woo.

"What! Ah! You are crossing your limit!" he was a little loud but he remembered his old days when he was a trainee. Was he really came here to make money? He couldn't get the right answer. It's true that they are entertaining many people but isn't that for their own profit? But if that's so, he doesn't think it's unfair. They have talents and they just know how to use their talents.

"Then, let's go to Karaoke," said Dae Ju and took the path of Karaoke.
