Colosseum

Adira and Liam were thrown across the ground like literally garage, causing them to stretch their bodies as they squirmed in pain. The metal door was shut close afterwards as they had made an attempt to get to their feet.

"It seems like you made a bad impression on the soliders", Adira said still stretching her back.

"Yeah, I guess you are right."

Turning around to look at their new ceil, a figure in the corner covered with darkness caught Liam's attention causing him to step back in surprise. Adira on noticing his strange reaction looked to his direction of gaze identifying the figure as well.

"Hmm, humans huh", the person spoke still remaining in the dark.

"Who the hell are you?", Liam looked quite ready for a fight even in his current shape.

"Relax, relax! My name is Earl, I am a human like you two", he voiced out as he entered into the light as they were.

Adira and Liam were surprised by this, however they weren't sure if they were supposed to be happy or not. Besides his reason for been put in the Colosseum was still a mystery.

"Hmm, my name is Liam and her's is Adira. Is the Colosseum only filled with humans as it's participants?", Liam asked as looked around the ceil.

It was still bad, however it was not as bad as the dungeon they were brought out of.

"No, I was the only human in her until now that is."

The smile on his face showed how happy he was to not be alone in this hell hole anymore.

"So what's your reason for been thrown into this death trap?", Earl asked out of curiosity.

"Well, we were framed for being spies even though we had only asked for help", Liam rubbed his head.

"Hmm, not really surprised. I am in here for the same reason. Though it is technically our fault anyways. It is kinda clear that we would have been treated this way."

"What do you mean?", Adira jumped into the conversation.

"Well it is because of the issues between races that has been going on recently, duh!"

Adira and Liam were still confused and Taylor could tell that much from their faces. This caused him to give them a questioning look before proceeding to explain.

"I don't know the details myself, however I do know that something happened ten years ago that caused the different races of the world to fight against one another. As we speak none of races has a relationship with another."

Thinking about everything that had happened in the throne room, Liam could not think of any other explanation for why they would do such a horrible thing to them. Their lack of knowledge for this new world got them into trouble rather quickly.

Judging from the way Earl was speaking, Liam could safely assume he was one of the humans of this new world. His likeness to the humans on Earth astonished him enough for him to believe that maybe he was transported to this world as well.

"Earl, how did you get here?"

"Well that is easy. I am a fugitive from the human kingdom. I ran here in order to escape from the Haven empire only to be captured and threatened worse than I ever could in the human kingdom, Haven. The beastmen were impressed with my fighting skills so they decided to put me into the Colosseum. Here my fate is tested daily till the day I die."

Hearing Earl say all of this made Liam and Adira feel extremely discouraged.

"Well, you should both sleep for tomorrow especially you, Liam. You are badly injured. Just remember you need your energy to survive", Earl looked serious about it.

Taking his advice they laid down on floor close to each other as they were used to this now. It seemed that their second day on this planet was worse than their first. It would be no surprise to them if the next day was worse.

The next morning, every participant in the event of the day was picked and brought to an opening. In front of them were crazy amounts of people in the stands, here to watch them fight for their lives. Adira and Liam didn't need to be told what happened in the Colosseum as they were well aware of it in their world. The only thing that worried them was how this event functioned in this world.

In the stands by their right was the place where the king along with his family sat to enjoy the event. Currently ten people were in the field including Adira, Liam and Earl. Around the dome were several doors which contained their foes, the only problem was which was it going to be?

"Let the battle begin!", The king shouted at the top of his voice.

The crowd cheered loudly as two doors opened after the King's cry, one on the left and the other on the right. From the depths of these rooms emerged large jackal like creatures ready to kill. These jackals seemed to number up to twenty which was a clear disadvantage for the participants included. As the beasts approached, it was clear that each participant was afraid.

[Enemies detected]

[Status of the enemies will now be displayed]

Taking a look at one of them, the info of this creature appeared to both Adira and Liam.

[Hunts Jack

Level: 10

Class: Type 1 beast

Element: None

Threat level: Mild]

The Hunts Jacks were quick to take down one of the participants with their speed and team work. This caused each of the participants to scatter and pick weapons that they could find on the ground. Liam and Adira stood in place however, looking at the horrible display of a Hunts Jack devouring the fallen beastman.

The crowd erupted into cheers when another person among them had just been killed. Liam felt that this was just too brutally for him to handle.

"Hey! Snap out of it or you will die too!", Earl shouted from the corner snapping them back into reality. He appeared to have just finished killing a Hunts Jack with a knife in his hand.

One of the creatures took notice of their lack of movement and charged towards their direction at high speed. Liam remembered at that moment, he had promised himself to go back home no matter what, he had no excuse to die. The Hunts Jack pounced in an attempt to attack only to get it's head broken to bits by Liam's fist.

[Congratulations, you have levelled up]
