Preparing for the wedding

Unable to sleep because she was busy making her plan on running away after her wedding and sleeping the rest of the day as if she's okay with the matter of getting married.

*Knock, knock*

Too busy focusing on her plan, she didn't hear the knock on her room door that the person on the outside had to knock harder, which frighten her.

"Zora Brooks, open this door now!"

Hearing the shout from outside her room, she knew it was her stepmother.

She quickly hid the plan she had written up under her bed and went to open the door.

"Goodnight mother. How may I help you?" Zora politely greets her stepmother.

Her stepmother looks her up and down before replying, "You stupid spoil brat, it's morning!"

"Huh?"

Zora quickly moves her curtain from her window and looks outside, where she saw the sky was a bit dark still.

"Are you sure? It looks pretty dark to me."

"You stupid girl, could you be any stupid? Anyway, get ready. We are going shopping for your dress," her stepmother said as she rolled her eyes at her and walk away.

After getting ready and putting on a loose grey hoodie and a red stripe pleated mini skirt with Chunky red sneakers, along with her black purse and her phone.

When she reached downstairs, she was greeted with a disgusted look from her stepmother.

"For a girl that's getting married soon, your fashion sense is slacking," her stepmother said. "Look at Rebecca, she's dressing lovely."

Zora looks at Rebecca, wearing a tight black dress with a v-cut and a black, red bottom 6 inches heels.

Zora bite her bottom lip and nodded her head before saying, "Her fashion sense is nice. Thank God he blesses your womb."

Her stepmother gave Zora her dead eyes, and all Zora did was smile.

"Have a wonderful day my dears!" Mr Brooks came behind Zora and said, which startled her.

Zora didn't look around, but stepped away from her father and ask as she looks at the wall, "Can we leave now?"

Seeing Zora's attitude, her father was going to get upset at her, but said nothing and went to his office.

After Mr Brooks left, the girls went to a private bridal store.

While at the store, Zora was trying different custom made designs of dresses.

"You can show your family the dress you have picked out," a lady that was helping Zora choose her dress and getting her ready said politely.

Zora refuse and told the lady they aren't her family, and she doesn't feel comfortable showing them her dress.

The lady smiles and understand completely what Zora meant, then went out to Mrs Brooks and Rebecca and ask if they could leave the store for a while because other consumers were supposed to come in.

They argue and refused at first, but had no other choice but to leave.

"Now that they are gone, I have some persons I know I can call right now to hype you up about the dress you have chosen," the lady who was helping Zora before said.

Zora smiles and accepts the lady's offer.

At the shopping mall. . .

Rebecca and her mother, who was busy buying clothes for themselves, were in a clothing store trying on unique designs of dresses.

"Mom?" Rebecca called out to her mother, who was trying on a red dress with a sad face.

"Yes, dear?" her mother happily answer as she was posing in the mirror.

"Why is Zora getting married before me?"

Her mother smiles while continuing to pose in the mirror, then asks, "Don't you already know why we want her to get married?"

"Yes, I do. But why aren't I getting married before her? After all, I am more beautiful, have more fashion sense than her, and I have 3.3 million followers on Ingram," Rebecca spoke with jealousy in her tone.

"Haha, don't be jealous of her, dear. She's marrying a Hoppa, and I bet he doesn't love her, just want to be in between her legs," Mrs Brooks explains as an evil laugh was on her face. "Do you want to marry such a man?" [Hoppa is a way to address an elderly man in Night Love city]

Rebecca became quiet before saying, "But a mafia is in love with her and Josh who's also a mafia. I want to be married to a mafia. Why should a girl like she gets love by a mafia?"

Mrs Brooks smirk evilly before asking, "Do you want Josh or this mafia man as your?"

Rebecca blushes as she plays in her long curly brown hair before saying, "I want both. . ."

"Then you shall have them. . ." Mrs Brooks said as she smiles evilly.

At the Bridal store. . .

"Thanks for today," Zora said as she smiles happily, then left with her dress.

As she left the store, she had thought about looking for her stepmother and step-sister, but instead, she went to get her lunch.

While at lunch, she sends Josh a couple of photos of her dress and asks what he thought of them.

When Josh saw her messages and how beautiful she looks in her dress, his heart skipped a beat before texting her and telling her she looks lovely.

"If only I was the one you were going to marry tomorrow, but no need to rush. I can wait," Josh said to himself after sending his message.

"Alright time to head home now."

Zora put down the cash and a tip for the waiter that severs her then left and went to her drive.

After having peace and quietness for 15 minutes straight, that all was interrupted as Zora's stepmother and step-sister entered the car.

Zora put in her earphone before dozing off to avoid speaking to her stepmother.

At Demar's mansion. . .

24 hours have almost passed, and it was winding down to Zora's wedding day.

Demar was uneasy but did works to cover up his emotions and Demarco was busy getting wild with girls in clubs.

The other men of Demar's weren't home. They were busy completing trades or at a bar or club, burning some stress.

Demar was practically all alone and the only choice he had was to start making his plans for what he's going to do to ensure Zora didn't get married to anyone else except him.

He drew up the outline of how the place looked where Zora was going to get married and organize where everyone was supposed to be and when they should attack.

His mission was simple, get Zora to safety and kill Mr Bins.

He had considered torturing Mr Brooks for selling his daughter, but he thought no matter how much he had done to Zora, she probably still loved her father and wouldn't want to hurt her by hurting her family.

As a mafia, he would do whatever he likes but when it involves a woman, he had to rethink his actions since a woman is to be pampered and loved and having a mother who he loves he wouldn't want to know a man threatened her family which cause her to feel scared.

So he had to adjust a lot in his plan since he didn't want to scare Zora or make her hate him.
