Musutafu, U.A. High School, Ground B.
"Mm... U.A. must be rich for them to be able to replicate multiple districts like that. I wonder where that money is coming from..."
After Present Mic was done explaining the nature of the test, all the students got divided into seven groups of examinees, and Dante was separated from his friends. Dante was currently standing with the rest of his group in front of one of the school's seven testing grounds, ground B. While the other examines were chatting, Dante had focused all his attention on a single individual.
'Who would have thought that I would end up in the same group as Midoriya... Well, that's also a good thing, I will be able to see if he is worthy or not...'
Worthy or unworthy, such a concept was extremely important for Dante. As he had already explained before, Dante's dream was to help those he liked in realizing their dreams, he wanted to be the op grandpa of the cultivation novels that would help the main character enact his revenge.
Although that was his dream, that didn't mean that Dante would simply help all the funny guys he would stubble upon in his journey, if someone wanted to receive his help, they would have to be worthy of it, they would have to reach a certain standard.
Dante had two simple criteria that would determine whether he would help someone.
'First, if they want me to help, then they at least need to put a lot of effort into chasing their dreams, I won't help someone who is not serious about what he is trying to do, words without actions are useless to me.
Secondly... I simply need to like that person.'
Dante had to like the person. Although it may sound simple to the ears, the second criterion wasn't as simple as it appeared to be.
What would make Dante like someone? There was no specific answer to that, most of it was based on what he would feel toward that person.
'How does that person behaves? Are they charismatic? Can they inspire others? Do they have a strong will? Do they have something special to them? What are their goals? How do they react in face of danger? How do they treat their loved ones?'
All the answers to those questions and many more would determine whether Dante liked someone, it wasn't something as easy as being funny or things like that, if he had to put a word on it, then Dante would probably say that he would only help those that were "epic"... at least a minimum.
Dante had decided long ago that he would only help the people that answered all those criteria, and he was determined to be extremely strict with them.
'I won't listen to bullshit, I won't accept excuses no matter whether they are true or not. Although I may be a bit harsh, I know the value of my help.'
Even though some people may call him arrogant, Dante didn't care, he would not lower his standards. In the vast omniverse, there were plenty of people that had nothing and yet were still doing more than anyone to achieve their goals. By using his powers, Dante could easily change the life of somebody, so he was dead set on only rewarding those that deserved it.
'And unfortunately... Midoriya isn't in the green yet.'
As Dante was watching Ida stop Midoriya from greeting Uraraka, many memories seemed to flash in his eyes.
'To be honest, he is quite pathetic.'
Midoriya Izuku... Although he was the story's main protagonist, Dante had always found that the kid was severely lacking in multiple aspects.
'He lacks charisma, he cries too much, he is way too passive, he depends on others way too much, he doesn't think about the consequences of his actions, he puts the wellbeing of others above his way too much, he rushes blindly into dangerous situations even if all he is doing is putting his own life at risk, his admiration of All Might stop him from exploiting all his potential, and more importantly... he disregards the feelings of his loved ones too much.'
The more he thought about it, the more Dante was disappointed with him, probably because in some ways, Midoriya reminded him of himself before he almost lost his life to some lowly nomus.
'The only reason I'm still willing to give him a chance is that he is only fifteen years old, and that's me being generous because I know plenty of younger powerless characters that had it rougher than him and yet achieved more than him.'
Just as Dante was engrossed in his thoughts, Present Mic's voice suddenly exploded into their ears.
"And... START!!!"
.
..
...
Seeing the confusion on the faces of the examinees, Mic quickly added.
"What's the matter?! There is no such thing as a countdown in a real battle! RUN! RUUUN!!!
CONSIDER THE BATON TOSSED!!!"
The moment Mic was done speaking, all the students started to run into the testing ground, all of them wanting to destroy as many villains as possible.
"Quick! Run!"
"Those points are mine!"
"Today is the start of my rise to fame!"
Soon, all the students entered the testing ground and started the hunt... all except two.
"EEEEEEH?! I'm already the last one!"
Just as Midoriya was about to rush in too, he suddenly heard a voice behind him.
"Wait a second, Midoriya Izuku."
Hearing the voice, Midoriya quickly turned around, only to see a handsome young man with black hair and jewel-like blue eyes.
'Eh? I'm not the last one? Where does this guy come from? I didn't even realize he was there! W-Wait, what am I doing?! If I waste any more time, I won't be able to earn any points!'
Just as Midoriya was about to say something, Dante simply tossed him something. Caught off guard, Midoriya awkwardly grabbed the object, only to realize that it was a pair of white gloves with two spikes on each glove.
"Here, take those gloves. Looking at how you don't have anything on you, I can assume that you fight with your fist right? Since we are fighting robots, I think those gloves will help you."
When Midoriya heard that, he suddenly realize that he had not thought of a way to destroy the villains he would face in the next ten minutes. Although he had indeed trained his body for the past ten months, it was still far from enough if he wanted to defeat the villains of the exam.
"T-Thank y-"
Just as he wanted to thank the stranger that helped him, Midoriya realized that the young man was already gone.
"Where... W-Wait! I don't have time for that! I need to get as many points as I can! I can always find that guy later and thank him properly! For now, I need to move fast!"
After that, Midoriya quickly entered the testing ground and finally started his hunt, little did he know that the young man who helped him was currently observing him from one of the building's roofs.
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu."
POUF!
In a cloud of smoke, another Dante suddenly appeared next to the real one who was currently watching the other examinees. From the building he was on, Dante was able to have a pretty good view of everything that was happening on Ground B.
"Go and gather some points for us, don't use the big guns, just haki should be enough. I don't care for first place, just gather enough so that we are taken in."
"You realize that we are the same person right? You don't have to tell me what to do."
"... Just go."
After his clone went out to hunt points, Dante thought about what he would do in U.A. in the next few months, and more importantly what he would do to get the attention of the people he was interested in.
"I guess I will have to re-explain the plan to the others and see how it goes... Mm, now that I think about it, today's the first day we are going to use our powers in the real world right? I wonder how the others are doing..."

Musutafu, U.A. High School, Ground D.
"STAAAART!!!!!"
The moment Present Mic's voice entered their ears, all the examinees assigned to Ground D began to charge into the fake district. Other than that, this moment also became one that would greatly surprise the U.A. teachers that were observing everything from their tower, because Present Mic's warning was the signal for a brown skin young man and a blue-haired young man to start their little competition.
BANG!!
In an instant, Hayato kicked hard against the ground and zoomed into Ground D while Ren took the sky at high speed in a burst of lightning, leaving a blue trail behind him.
"Whoa!!"
"What the?!"
"What was that?!"
Before any of the examinees could even put a foot into the testing site, Hayato had already reached his first villain.
"Oraaa!"
BANG!!
Without using any skill, Hayato simply used the power of his body to destroy the robot with a single punch.
"That was a 1-point villain, on to the next one!"
Without stopping for even a second, Hayato continued to run at high speed, zigzagging between the streets, in search of more villains.
"Jackpot!"
As he was running, Hayato stumbled upon a large group of ten villains and reacted immediately.
"Tsuga!!"
Without losing any speed, he jumped in the air with a feral grin and violently started to spin at high velocity like a member of the Inuzuka clan, soon becoming a human rotating spear that pierced through all the robots one after the other in a quick sequence!
BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
The very moment he pierced through the last robot of the group, Hayato spotted another group of twelve villains five hundred meters ahead of him.
"Soru!!"
With his strong body and his perfect mastery of the rokushiki, Hayato crossed the distance in a bit less than ten seconds. Just as he was about the attack though, he suddenly heard a majestic voice coming down from the sky.
"Ranton: Laser Circus."
Before Hayato could do anything, multiple flexible blue lasers came down from the sky and annihilated the entire group of robots!
BOOOOM!!!
"Haha!"
Knowing that he couldn't do anything about it, Hayato laughed in excitement and looked up, only to see a flying Ren who was shooting a provocative smile at him.
"I have the advantage on this one Hayato! Since our haki doesn't work on non-living beings, we need to use our eyes to find our prey! With my flying skills, my win is guaranteed!"
"Ha! What the hell are talking about?! You aren't the only one who can fly!
Geppo!!"
Without giving any time for Ren to answer, Hayato kicked hard against the ground and jumped high into the air! The moment he was high enough, he kicked hard again, but this time with the air being his target, and soon Hayato was running in the air, greatly shocking the other examinees who had finally entered the fake district.
"What the hell?! What kind of quirk is that?!"
"Look! The other guy is flying too!"
"These guys are crazy fast! What the fuck?!"
The moment Ren saw Hayato take flight, he actually stopped mid-air and laughed!
"Hahaha! Of course, I know you can fly, Hayato! But you should already know that the sky is my territory hahaha!"
Without warning, Ren suddenly surrounded himself with lightning and flew in the same direction as Hayato, he was so fast that he easily broke the sound barrier.
BOOM!!
In just three seconds, Ren had already overtaken Hayato and plunged in direction of a big group of villains!
"Condense!"
As he was accelerating downward more and more in direction of the villains, Ren suddenly generated a big quantity of lightning in his right hand and quickly condensed it! Soon, the mass of lightning started to transform, and took the shape of an extremely realistic two-meter-tall replica of Mjolnir from GOW!
"OOOOHHH!! RAIMEEE HAKKEEEE!!!!!"
The moment the giant hammer touched the ground, everything in a twenty-meter radius was drowned in a blinding blue light!
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
The explosion was so big and powerful that all the buildings in the vicinity almost crumbled right then and there! After the initial impact, a big blue pillar of lightning rose into the sky, instilling fear into the other examinees.
"Oi... Do we even have the right to compete?"
"The fuck is going on..."
"I want to go home!"
When Hayato saw Ren putting a bit more pump into his attacks, he laughed heartily and sprinted in another direction, towards another big group of villains one kilometer away from him!
"Hahahaha!! Now that's what I call an exam!!"
With a grin even more feral than before, Hayato accelerated even more! As he was getting faster and faster, the air around him started to condense, and soon took the form of the head of a giant white tiger!
"HIRUDORAAA!!!!"
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
High up in the judges' tower where the U.A. staff members were observing everything, multiple gasps could be heard as Hayato's attack caused even more damage than Ren's attack.
"The hell is wrong with these kids!! He sent a whole building flying!!"
"Such power... It reminds me of All Might!"
As most of the teachers were in shock, two individuals, in particular, showed even more interesting reactions.
The first one was a little white creature that appeared to be a mix of a dog, a mouse, and a bear.
"Whoa! Looks like we have some exceptionally promising students this year!"
The other one was a skinny man with sharp, angular features, blue eyes, and blonde hair.
'Looks like young Midoriya Will have to work even harder!'
That day, Ren and Hayato showed wonderful performances, and took the spotlight of the exam, gathering all the attention to themselves. Without knowing, their little competition allowed Kioko to work in the shadows just as she liked to do.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Musutafu, U.A. High School, Ground G.
While Dante was observing Midoriya's performance and Ren and Hayato were having their little competition, Kioko was left alone in testing ground G... well, she wasn't exactly alone.
"It will soon be ten minutes..."
While everyone was fighting hard to earn some points, Kioko, on the other hand, was currently sitting at a little table, elegantly sipping a cup of tea with her eyes closed in one of the numerous buildings of the fake district.
"Give me a report of the general situation."
After Kioko's order, a change suddenly happened in the dark room she was relaxing in. Soon, the shadows of a particular spot in the room started to churn and rise, and soon, a two-meter-tall humanoid creature with burning purple eyes eventually came out of the ground and walked towards Kioko before kneeling at her feet.
The humanoid creature that came out of the ground was different from everything this world had ever seen, and would probably never be seen again. The trait that differentiated this creature the most from the rest of the world was probably the fact that it had no flesh and blood, the creature was... completely made out of shadows.
"..."
Seeing the creature silently kneeling in front of her, Kioko opened her eyes and smiled before putting her hand on the creature's head. Soon, everything this creature had seen and done was transmitted to Kioko, allowing her to gain a general understanding of everything that was happening around her.
"I see... This many points should be enough to guarantee our success, no need to go out anymore.
You can go and rest now, my loyal Dusk Warrior."
After the "Dusk Warrior" seemingly heard Kioko's words, he simply nodded his head before disappearing into Kioko's shadow.
"Looks like he is still too weak to learn how to speak, I need to feed him more shadows."
Dusk Warrior... probably Kioko's most prized ability. Greatly inspired by the Shadow Monarch, Sung Jinwoo's ability to create shadow soldiers, this ability allowed Kioko to gather, condense and give life to shadows, allowing her to create a powerful and loyal army that would fight for her sake.
The major difference between her ability and the Shadow Monarch's ability was that Kioko didn't need to kill someone to gain a Dusk Warrior, all she had to do was burn some stamina to manipulate the shadows and give life to them. One of the features she liked the most about this ability was that she could freely decide on the appearances of her warriors.
'The more shadows I gather upon the creation of one of my servants, the stronger they will be. Even after their creation, I can still make my soldiers stronger by feeding them more shadows, the stronger they are, the more intelligent they are.'
During the last decades, among the many things that happened, Kioko was probably the one who had changed the most among the little squad. After spending some much time with Featherine and other powerful female characters, Kioko's behavior gradually changed in a certain direction, but not without reason.
Kioko's status had changed a lot over the years, the biggest change was probably the fact that she wasn't even an orphan anymore. After training with her for multiple decades and spending thousands of hours with her, a certain individual that had only started everything out of boredom had a change of heart and was eventually won over by the cuteness of the little gloomy girl.
After five decades, a time frame that was not even a nap for a being like her, Featherine officially adopted Kioko, making the little girl her daughter, and the princess of a gigantic domain ruled by Featherine. That day, one of the supreme beings of the Dream World adopted a being from the real world, making Dante extremely happy.
Over the years, Featherine had made sure that her daughter would receive the best education possible. Be it strength, manners, or knowledge, Featherine had made sure that Kioko would become a splendid and elegant young woman that would dominate any domain she would develop in. Because of her great respect and love for her new mother, Kioko started to imitate Featherine in her own way, which in a way had... accentuated her chuunibyo syndrome!
"Mm, how should I create my next warriors..."
Without anyone knowing, the little gloomy girl that had difficulties staying under the sun for too long ten years ago, would soon become the leader of an extremely strong army that would later shock the whole world.
