CHAPTER - XXXVI

The moment Derek entered the training room he sat down on the floor noticing the guests in it as well, so minutes passed with no one saying anything but Kamala was the first to approach him

Kamala : "Derek are you ok"

Derek: "I don't know Kamala, you know actually I don't know why I said this about myself, I don't know maybe the heat of the moment or something else"

At this Kamala sat next to him shoulder to shoulder, "You know to me it doesn't matter if you are mutant, inhuman or whatever, to me you are the one who has supported me through all this and believed in me"

Kamala : "You followed me even when it wasn't certain that the resistance would exist"

Kamala told him as her hand came closer to his taking it tightly "You are the person who didn't even hesitate to infiltrate one of the AIM bases for me, someone important to me Derek" saying what he felt she kissed his cheek with affection staying by his side.

Being the second Cassie to approach and sit to his right

Cassie : "You know Derek seeing you this worried about what we think of you makes me feel bad, tell me are we not trustworthy to you or do we seem untrustworthy enough to think that just because we say that we will be afraid of you or look at you with accusing eyes"

Cassie said tapping his forehead with her middle finger with a pout "You are my friend, I care about you as much as you care about me Derek I'm not going to walk away from you even if you try just because you say you're part mutant."

Cassie : "I'll be there for you like you've been there for me, besides I don't think being a mutant is bad that would explain why you have that knockout body"

Cassie joked while touching Derek's chest and abs making Kamala look at her annoyed by the way she was being.

While for their part Theo, Cerise and Dante approached the romantic trio and sat around them

Theo : "Come on bro, look at me both Cerise and I don't look the best" Theo tried to lighten Derek's mood a bit.

Although he earned a smile from him he also earned a smack upside the head from his sister who looked at him like he was an idiot.

Theo : "O come on sis you know I'm not good with this, besides look it worked he's smiling" he claimed to his sister who kept looking at him to finally use Derek as a scapegoat which did the trick.

Derek : "Thanks Theo, you too Cerise, you guys are amazing without you I don't know what would have happened, so don't take what your idiot brother says seriously, I think the color of your skin brings out your eyes making you look beautiful"

Trying to lighten Cerise's anger at what Theo said, Derek complimented her, which worked as her cheeks turned a little purple and a small screen appeared in front of him.

*Ting +2 affection with Cerise*

Dante : "I don't really care what you are you know, you're the one who saved my mom and you're teaching me how to control my powers, you're my friend...so I don't care what you are Derek you're part of this group of misfits that's what matters" Dante spoke making them look at him and agree with him.

"You know listening to you all I guess I was an idiot to care, hahaha thanks guys" thanked them Derek.

"Looks like you have good friends Derek" commented Natasha making everyone look at her especially Derek

"Nat I..." he wanted to explain himself but she interrupted him

Natasha : "I understand why you didn't tell me about the origin of your mutations and actually I would rather you had never said anything or waited longer because if this information gets out of here and Monica.... no AIM finds out, they won't mind doing anything to get their hands on you"

saying what concerns Derek she walked over and squatted down to his level looking at the whole group beside him.

'You are very dear to me' she thought remembering how attached Derek was to her years ago and how he didn't trust anyone but her

Natasha : "I am not upset, that you kept me in the dark about this, after all it was I who taught you that you have to be careful with everyone around you, as that could save your life or doom you, but it seems you have good companions" she said kissing his forehead and tousling his hair.

"Whatever happens you can count on me" she whispered just for him to hear the last with his over human senses.

"Now I want you all to go to your rooms and rest it has been a hard day for everyone, so I need you all to rest because tomorrow and the days to come will be busy, we have a satellite to infiltrate and a ship to repair to its best possible state" Nat ordered them making them smile and nod.

The next morning

The next morning we can see Derek accompanying Tony being the second one to break the ice

Tony : "So mutant huh, you know that surprised me a lot, maybe you will be the one to bring back the mutants and guide them don't you think it would be very poetic kid" hearing this Derek raised an eyebrow at this

Derek : "Jokes for later Tony, or do I have to remind you that if it wasn't for you and your couple fight with Bruce everything we had achieved would go down the drain".

"It's ok I know both Me and Bruce were jerks kid, I already apologized for that Yeah?" replied Tony with exasperation.

"Ok I get it...., so Starboost right?" commented Derek.

Tony : "Yeah I thought I'd never use it but I was wrong."

"Wow so even the great Tony Stark can admit he's wrong" said Derek sarcastically making Tony smile "You'll see for yourself why I never thought I would use it, so let's go to the tech lab and I'll show you" without further ado Derek followed him silently arriving in a few minutes at his target.

"You know the previous tests ended... badly. But, with this new miniature accelerator that managed to miniaturize with Hank's Pym particles and how Monica's armor can use Cryo and Fire powers, I have another chance" Tony said as they approached the monitor of the fabrication machine where they had the blueprints.

"And meet one of my best inventions this is my 3D printer only it works with metals, this was specially created to help me in the creation of my armor or equipment for any avenger, which I was able to get thanks to the efforts of the resistance" Stark said proudly as he reached for the blueprints of his armor.

"Alright look at this kid, this is the Starboost" said Stark showing a black and white colored armor with only one part of the hull in gold which was the face part, Derek was enchanted with the armor the more he saw the design plans the more he liked it, this armor was designed for space travel, having powerful integrated removable booster thrusters and zero gravity maneuvering thrusters.

Although the durability of this armor was not very good because it only focused on speed, the most it could resist would be a trip to space but not the return, and with the speed system that Tony had there was still an 80% chance that the armor would explode

So first Tony and Derek worked on integrating the Cryos powers of the exoskeleton of Monica's armor in this one to use it as a cooling system which took them two days in which Derek did not stop training in the training room while he helped Tony

Once they achieved one of the most complicated steps they continued with the one that would be used to keep the miniature accelerator from exploding along with the external thrusters on the back which were covered in chrome plated bronze reinforced with Dragon Slayer powers giving it greater durability.

On the fourth day Derek devoured Wolfram in front of Tony and slightly frightening Thor who had entered the lab out of boredom but seeing Derek eating metal scared him and he reflexively put Mjolnir behind him as if to protect him as he slowly walked backwards out of there being noticed by Derek and Tony.

"What's wrong with Thor? Your face was like you wanted to protect something from you" at Tony's question

Derek smiled "It's because he saw me eating the Wolfram while looking at his hammer" Derek replied, at that Tony understood everything and that formed another question "Kid I have a question, since your powers allow you to eat the elements that your powers are based on why don't you eat Adamantium?".

Derek looked at him and decided to answer "It's not that I don't want to it's just that I can't at the moment" Derek replied making Tony confused "What do you mean".

Derek : "That I can't devour Adamantium in its solid state not yet, my powers aren't strong enough, you know that no once Adamantium solidifies or cools it is virtually impossible to make it liquid again, that's the difference it has with Vibranium, which I can eat and the only place that has vibranium is the training room which is protected by a layer of Adamantium"

(Besides the system told me that for me to be able to devour Adamantium, my Metal Dragon Slayer should at least evolve to Dragon King) he thought, Tony for his part understood why he didn't do it and why the first time Derek saw Adamantium the boy's instincts came out, because he found a high level metal.

Now that Tony understood he didn't ask any more questions and they continued working, in the end Derek showed him the Wolfram enhanced by his powers deciding to use it to make his exoarmor and internal circuits, taking a whole day to achieve it with the help of the fabrication machine.

Having finished with the most important thing Derek used titanium and gold reinforced with his powers without any impurities in them for the creation of the external armor that with the help of Tony's machine they finally finished on the sixth day, already in the afternoon of that day they could see a white armor with black and gold details connected to some monitors which were making calculations.

"It looks impressive," said Derek.

"Why it is kid, 1400 million dollars in vanity, if my calculations are correct and thanks to your help along with that of Hank and Bruce who helped us install the use of Cryo powers in the armor as a cooling system will help me when I go through the atmosphere, I will no longer incinerate" boasted Tony with a special spandex to use with the armor.

"Haa, whatever you say Tony" sighed Derek and started applying runes on the armor being the following.

-Reinforcement: reinforces the equipment material by 30%.

-Rune of Life: +20% health.

-Rune of Carapace: +50% defense.

-Rune of Battle: +10% of physical attack.

-Rune of Feather: -10% of weight.

-Rune of Dodge: +10% agility.

-Rune of Shadow: +50% stealth.

-Rune Igni: +10% resistance to Fire.

-Rune Swift: +10% speed.

Those were all the Runes Derek could currently use on the armor thanks to the Runesmith Lvl 4 skill level thanks to having leveled it up by using runes on his Kunais when creating them and trying to put runes on it when covering his body in metal scales but always failing after putting five runes on his body.

"Very good with the runes I put on the armor your journey will be easier plus I used a special rune the Shadow Rune which will increase your stealth by 50% in this operation" Derek said to Tony who was looking at the Runes on the armor which made it look rougher, cooler and mystical making him smile.

"That's perfect, with all this, I'm going into space tonight" smiled Tony "And hopefully one day you can teach me a little about runes" Derek smiled at this and nodded, leaving Tony behind heading to the command room where the rest of the team was waiting for him.
