CHAPTER - XVI

Thanks to Lucy's directions, Derek didn't take long to get to AIM's Ark reactor.

Lucy: "Derek you have to destroy that door, that's where the reactor is, Tony will be there in two minutes."

"I understand thank you" said Derek to move his arm back, which was surrounded by flames and with all his strength hit the huge door.

[ IRON FIST Of The FIRE DRAGON ]

The door blocking the way flew out due to Derek's attack also destroying some synthezoids on the way, all the synthezoids then focused on him.

The first thing Derek saw when he entered was a bunch of synthezoids, but then his focus shifted to something else.

Derek : "Lucy, I don't like this at all, I can feel the large amount of uncontrolled energy in that reactor, we have to stop that reactor from exploding, because if I'm not wrong it won't just take out half the city, I would say some cities along the way it's possible "

Lucy: "Derek the reactor is becoming more and more unstable, we have to shut it down, to shut it down you have to destroy the four amplifiers around the reactor, those are the ones that are amplifying the power output of the Ark reactor so it will explode."

Derek : "Shit, I have to give it my all, get through to Tony and tell him everything that's going on here."

Without further ado Derek launched himself against the Synthezoids and took out three kunais in each hand, to throw them at an incredible speed, nailing several low level Synthezoids and two elite Synthezoids, to which these kunais began to glow and exploded a large amount of orange flames like the sun consuming everything in its path.

That created a smoke screen that Derek used to hide and attack from a distance with his kunais, which he could hit thanks to his senses on humans.

When the smoke dispersed he began to inhale to attack with a Dragon breath, but several cryogenic synthezoids and three cryogenic supreme launched ice attacks trying to prevent Derek from attacking.

Derek could no longer stop the charge of his attack and less lose concentration because if he loses control of his attack he will be badly injured and that is something that can not be allowed, and without further ado Derek receives the full attack but even so the absorbing metal scales only absorbed a part of the attacks since the ice based attacks of the supreme synthezoids were physical, managing to resist the attacks he exhaled his attack.

[ ROAR OF THE FIRE DRAGON ]

Derek roared with rage a great line of fire which was expanding melting a large majority of synthezoids along with the cryogenic and supreme synthezoids.

He began to run and jump in the direction where the platforms with the amplifiers are, when he reached the first amplifier, Derek began to attack one of the two cores of the first platform with his fists surrounded by flames super concentrated by the absorbing metal scales, even so he needed to hit with all his strength almost ten times until he destroyed the first core.

Derek : "Lucy do you know why it took me so long to destroy the exposed core of the platform?"

Lucy: "It's because the core is surrounded by an adaptive energy field."

Derek was about to curse, but suddenly the door of one of the elevators opened and two energy beams came out destroying two synthezoids.

Out of the elevator came Tony with his armor attacking left and right flying to another platform to physically start a core about five times to then release an powerful beam from his chest destroying the core..

Derek was not far behind making his fingers begin to grow claws of absorbent metal and bathe them in flames making them turn red like magma and attack the second core with these but the shield did not let this approach, but without wanting to lose the temperature of Derek's flames begin to increase due to the emotions of this making his claws begin to break through the shield to reach this and pierce the core like butter.

Once Derek was done with his platform he jumped off it dodging the attack of several drones and synthezoids, which were attacked by the four drones Jarvis was controlling.

Derek : "You and your silly entrances Stark, don't tell me you were waiting for the right moment to attack?"

"No of course not kid, less talk more action" said Tony in a hurry to fly to the next platform, although Derek was not convinced at all he decided not to continue with that since he didn't have time for that.

Derek was very happy to have created so many absorbing metal kunais already charged with his fire, since thanks to that he had destroyed a lot of synthezoids.

Jumping to the next platform, he began to throw fireballs but inside these were fragments of absorbing metal, making it not only burn and melt the synthezoids that were protecting the platform but also creating an explosion that released more fire which was hotter than the first one and not only affected the synthezoids.

Derek approached the second core and crossed his arms in an x-shape with his metal claws like magma but in one swift movement released the stored fire which took the form of an x-cut burning the shield of the core in seconds and destroying it.

Once Derek destroyed the second platform he saw Tony rise into the air and charge the lasers in his hands piercing both cores at the same time.

Jarvis: "Congratulations Mr. Stark, Mr. Derek, you have successfully destroyed the Arc reactor."

"Tony are you okay" asked Derek as he could tell through his hearing that Stark's breathing was a bit labored.

Tony : "I don't know, you know I never thought I would hear Jarvis say something like that, I invented all this, the rectior, the terrigen, the A-DAY, not to mention Wanda we weren't there for her when she needed us, I have a lot to think about let's go kid"

Derek could understand what Tony meant since the Arc Reactor was invented with good intentions to help humanity, but suddenly Derek stopped as he never heard that the mission was over, nor did he see any notification that the mission was over, but out of nowhere the ceiling broke over Tony and a big shadow fell over him, sending him flying.

"Tony" shouted Derek, in concern as he ran to him, "Tell me you wrote down the license plate of the car kid" said Tony as Derek helped him up although he grimaced as he saw the dent in Stark's armor.

"Stark come on get up we don't have time for your jokes "said Derek as he helped Tony up, once Tony was standing Derek looked for the silhouette that attacked Tony, what he saw surprised him a lot "Adaptoid "

That was what Derek ordered to the system, and then a great amount of information entered his brain, once he was addicted to the new information he felt he could control every muscle in his body, without waiting any longer he shot out like a rocket which the adaptoid imitated, both colliding creating a small wave of wind.

For his part Tony was staring at what was happening while flying analyzing the situation, both were exchanging fists, but not in a traditional way.

Derek threw a backhand with his left, being dodged perfectly moving his head backwards by his enemy, the adaptoid followed with a left jab analyzing the situation, which Derek evaded thanks to his instincts ducking a little realizing the damage that attack would do, without stopping at that, Derek launched a right hook, which did not impact because the adaptoid ducked at the same time entering Derek's area.

The robot launched a right uppercut straight to the chin, which he dodged with a jump backwards thanks to Tony who managed to move the robot with his ranged attacks.

"I hope you haven't forgotten about me" said Tony as he saw Derek positioned himself in a pose indicating that he was going to shoot out

Derek turned to throw himself against his opponent, who launched a left hook to his hundred, but he managed to evade it by ducking and throw a left elbow where the ribs should be if his opponent was human, but the adaptoid turned his left foot managing to get out of the reach of the elbow.

"Kid I recommend you to be careful I have analyzed the moves, attacks and counter attacks shown so far and all those are the other moves of Cap, Nat and other heroes" said Stark in concern to continue attacking from a distance while Jarvis continued analyzing the robot looking for weaknesses .

"I understand thank you" but the adaptoid didn't even give him time to speak throwing the back of his hand against the head, but it recoiled, and as a counterattack, he jumped with his right fist at the robot's head, the adaptoid ducked low enough for the fist to pass over it.

Derek crossed his arms to protect himself and fell on his feet, crawling a little from the blow, being in an ideal position, Derek was going to throw himself, but to his bad luck the robot had already foreseen his next move.

The adaptoid launched a perfect right to his face wanting to rip his head off in order to finish the fight with the least possible damage to the inhuman.

"Oh no, he won't be able to dodge it I won't make it in time..." shouted Tony in concern, but to his surprise, Derek was much faster, as he finally used the Niko Style.

Tony watched in shock as the robot's head twisted backwards almost tearing his head off.

(Looks like I figured out, a combination of using two Katas at the same time for my first time, it's the perfect counter attack along with the Dragon Slayer power of Metal, it was a devastating blow, that should be enough) thought Derek, but at that, spitting blood.

Tony was surprised by what Derek did, until he saw the adaptoid grab Derek's arm, and give him a front kick in the solar plexus, and with the same arm that held him, he did a judo throw, sinking it into the metal floor and making the whole area tremble.

Derek transformed the arm held by the robot into a sword with saw-like teeth to free himself from its grip and return it to its previous form, rising instantly and crossing his arms for an optical beam of the synthezoid absorbing it into the scales of his body and putting himself on guard.

"Kid are you ok" asked Tony with a bit of concern

"I'm fine, it was just my bones and my organs nothing good, I can still go on, how much more do you need to find a weakness" he said sarcastically, "what do you think I've been doing, it just needs time to take effect, my attacks aren't for nothing kid, when I tell you to give it your all, that's the battle plan "

"Shit I'll just be a punching bag" said Derek wiping the blood from his mouth, as he activated the new strength effect on the pink muscles (pink muscles) it increased his stamina by 30% and his strength by 40%.

When nothing Derek saw the adaptoid again its head was already in place as if nothing, Derek with his superhuman speed and Flame kata shot out to tackle him, what adaptoid lowered his guard in defense.

But Derek touched the ground with his hands and jumped at high speed throwing a kick to the head while transforming his leg into a sword with teeth like saw spinning at high speed, the robot barely managed to react

But still grazed him leaving a small cut, however Derek did not stop there, as soon as he touched the ground, he launched with another combination of Katas.

[ REDIRECTION KATA + WATER KATA: SWIMMING SWALLOW ]

The first blows managed to hit the adaptoid, but seconds later it began to block them "But what the fuck" he said as its arms were pinned down, then released one, and gave it a right hook, feeling as if its head was almost ripped off, and then a low kick to the knee almost breaking it if it wasn't for the defense that his scales give him, and moments later he saw a fist that was going to attack him.

Barely reacting he used Water Kata making a key with his legs and arms to destroy the arm, but Derek forgot that he wasn't facing a living being but a robot that doesn't feel pain.

The adaptoid using all his strength, took him and smashed him against the ground, Derek used Adamantine Kata to harden his muscles for more defense, reducing the damage, but instantly he saw how the adaptoid was going to step on him.

But moving his head to the side he managed to dodge, using a counterattack with his left leg reinforced with Adamantine kata he managed to push him away and get up, Derek took out a kunai from his inventory and threw it against Tony, but as if he was expecting it, the adaptoid created an energy shield and an Ark reactor was formed in his chest and his legs took the form of thrusters, from one moment to the next he appeared in front of Derek throwing a storm of blows.

Derek could only cross his arms to defend himself while using Adamantine in his muscles for more defense, but even so the powerful blows of his enemy were breaking through his defense, in one of the blows Derek received a punch in the face, sending him flying against the wall barely conscious, biting his tongue to regain consciousness

He realized that he could not go back without counting that the robot started another storm of blows, He decided to wait for the right moment, after several blows, he saw how it approached a right, an opportunity that he was going to take, he took it applying redirection kata twisting the right arm of the robot making him lose his balance, and throw his leg transformed into a sword, the robot managed to put his arm, managing to avoid cutting his head, but even price his arm was cut, Derek kept the cut arm in his inventory so that he would not repair that limb.

Even so, Derek used redirection again, taking him in the opposite way carrying what could be called face against the floor using Water Kata as a grip.

Derek used more grappling techniques at the time because of the difference in weight and strength between the two, but what Derek did not expect was that the arm in his grip turned his wrist to show a thruster in his hand like Tony's and shot him point blank in the face sending him flying.

Derek fell ten meters back with a lot of blood coming out of his face, if it wasn't for his absorbing scales that removed most of the damage he wouldn't be alive.

Derek tried to get up but his spleens were giving out due to the accumulated damage even though he was healing thanks to his regeneration, but it wasn't much.

The adaptoid lunged at full speed wanting to finish Derek off, but Tony appeared swooping down and with all the energy he could muster he launched his powerful beam at full power while talking to Derek "Kid I know you are hurt but you have to get up I have recalibrated my shot to affect the nanobots inside the adaptoid and a little bit its systems and making it unstable"

"Once my attack is over you have ten seconds to give it your all and finish that piece of junk" Tony shouted to Derek as he was betting all this on Derek, because once the attack was over Tony would be almost out of energy.

Derek used one of the status recovery, illuminating him to see him without any injuries but his clothes still had blood on them and his eyes looked very tired from what happened, he quickly stood up and reinforced the scales on his arms as much as he could making them look thicker and fiercer.

"Haaa" shouted Derek as Dragon Slayer's fire enveloped him completely, when Tony lost his power until it disappeared Tony fell to his knees due to the lack of energy, the adaptoid began to walk to Tony with unsteady steps but at that moment Derek appeared at great speed

[ ADAMANTINE KATA + DRAGON SLAYER'S SECRET ART OF DRAGON SLAYER OF FIRE-CRIMSON LOTUS: FIST OF THE FIRE ]

Each fist surrounded by fire hit the body of the adaptoid generating powerful explosions destroying the figure of the adaptoid.

In the last attack Derek's body stopped being covered with metal scales, the only thing that was covered with metal scales was the right arm of his that had taken the form of a metal Dragon arm covered with fire making it look brutal .

"Disappear bitch" shouted Derek hitting his fist full in the head of the adaptoid generating a huge explosion of flames.

After a few seconds of the flames disappearing along with the smoke, Tony saw Derek holding his arm which was purple up to his elbow and bleeding implying that the last attack is very dangerous for both the enemy and the one launching it.

But suddenly a large silhouette was noticed in the smoke, making both Tony and Derek nervous, once the smoke disappeared, the adaptoid could be seen with one arm missing many fist prints along with melted metal on most of the body and missing the head falling in front of Derek leaving him as the winner.

"Host You have Leveled up x 8, Niko Style has reached level 5 congratulations you have unlocked variants of each Kata, once you are in a safe place you are advised to check the system to see the rewards received the rewards."

It was the notification he received as he approached Tony not before storing the remains of the Adaptoid in the inventory along with the large scale Ark reactor.

"Come on Stark, I'm really tired and hurt."

"haa I see come on, Jarvis bring the Quinjet to my location, we are in no condition for anything but walking" Tony said as he could barely move the armor and because of Derek being injured.

Once they were out they boarded the Quinjet

Derek : "Tony open the hatch",

Tony : "What are you planning to do kid remember you are in no condition for more action".

"I'll just give them a message to AIM" said Derek as he created a Neuntote spear, once the hatch was opened Derek began to fill the spear with flames while concentrating on the flames not damaging the flames, and launch it.

[ DEMONIC KARMA: SPEAR OF THE METAL GOD ]

He shouted while throwing it with all his physical abilities activated, the spear crossed the sky like a shooting star in the darkness, reaching the big building, crossing it until it reached where the ARK reactor was before releasing all the flames accumulated in them burning everything in its path, making the building collapse without affecting any other part since it was a little far away from other buildings.

Derek entered again once the hatch was closed, to see Tony conversing with Bruce and Kamala on the big screen, both of whom were startled to see Derek with blood on his face and arm not counting the blood on his clothes.

"Derek what happened to you, how did you end up like that" shouted Kamala with concern evident in her voice.

"I'm fine nothing to worry about my wounds are already healing, I just need to rest for a few hours and I'll be good as new" replied Derek trying not to worry.

"When I see you you and I will have a serious talk" Kamala said seriously,

"Yes ma'am, but first where are you, that's not the CHIMERA that I know of" he said.

"Actually, when we arrived at the coordinates, we found that the Inhumans there had already been evacuated, we had a confrontation with AIM, but you'll never guess who we ran into" said Bruce giving her room for someone who was thought to be dead to appear.

"Hank Pym" said Derek with surprise as according to him he had died in the last confrontation at the hands of Wanda or so he believed.

"Hank but like me .... we saw you die" said Tony with joy, surprise and suspicion.

Hank : "Haa, I was confused too Tony, but it was Wanda who brought me back to life, I don't know why, I tried to look for them but A-DAY had already happened, AIM captured me and they put nanobots in me that prevent me from shrinking or enlarging and if I do it by force I will die, That's why I focused on creating what I call the anthill, to use it as a refuge and base of operations for the Inhumans."

"Wait, so you were the ones who helped us escape from AIM the first time, weren't you? " Kamala asked to which Hank smiled in acknowledgement.

"I'll send you the coordinates of the anthill we have a lot to talk about see you Tony" said Hank to leave leaving Kamala and Bruce again.

"I see you had it better than us Bruce, I'll go to the coordinates given and we'll talk about what we found out from AIM" and cut Tony's communication short, Derek for his part pulled out some HP potions to speed up his recovery and five minutes later he was asleep.
