Conference.

Chapter 10 Conference.

On the highest floor of the Spirit Pagoda 30 out of the 42 council members had gathered on rather short notice. They were here to discuss about the establishment of the new Spirit Academy and whether they should move forward with this plan.

"The Shrek academy has been gaining more and more glory throughout the years. It has been established for more than 20 thousand years and their collaboration with the Tang sect is not something we can close our eyes to. "

An elder of the Spirit Pagoda was talking aloud so that everyone assembled could hear what he was saying.

"Shrek academy alumni are extremely loyal and are spread widely throughout the continent. Their influence over the government is also something that is not very good for our future development." The elder who was talking previously continued.

"So what do you suggest?" A middle aged man with Slightly small eyes and beautiful features asked while exuding a powerful aura.

"I suggest the establishment of the Spirit Academy which has been mentioned in previous conferences. We already have collected information about enough students from awakening ceremonies conducted in various villages, towns and cities to establish a soul master class. Though I suggest that we make a class consisting of elementary level students for the first batch of students. So that we can nurture them from day 1 and then only accept students who have become soul masters later on. We can promise various benefits like free spirit soul for students who promise to serve Spirit Pagoda for at least 5 years and so on."

The elder concluded his speech he tried to make it as concise as possible to save his time and that of other elders present there.

"About the first batch of students, why do you think we should start from an elementary level academy When we can just make it so that talented soul masters can join our academy." An elder asked

"We have got to know about kids who are exceedingly talented or have mutated martial souls that could lead them to be powerful soul masters with the right guidance and support. Though I suggest we only do this for the first batch of students so as to minimize the amount of resources we spend. And these students might become pillars of our Spirit Pagoda in the future as they are more likely to become more attached to the Spirit Pagoda." The elder replied while facing the middle aged man with slightly small eyes and beautiful features.

Sounds of approval and agreement resounded throughout the conference hall, It seemed that most of the elders agreed and the only concerns were who would teach and the amount of resources they should spend on this project as well as the policies regarding the academy as a whole. The elder who had made the suggestion looked around him and was happy about his suggestion not being taken lightly. It seemed that even the middle aged man who was the Pagoda master sort of agreed with his suggestion. At the very least he did not seem to be against the notion of creating a Spirit Academy.

"Though the idea of establishing a Spirit Academy has been mentioned in previous conferences, this is the first time I'm hearing someone suggest that the first batch of students should be handpicked by us from the information that we have gathered. It really has piqued my interest and I would like you to go forward with this plan. Elder Su as you have made the proposal of establishing Spirit Academy I hope you are prepared to become the dean of said Academy. I look forward to the reports that will come after the establishment of Spirit Academy. I would like you to deal with matters regarding the academy and select who should teach. You can select your personal or people who want to contribute to the future of Spirit Pagoda. The rest of the details can be talked about later. " The Spirit pagoda master said while looking at Elder Su.

"I vote in favor of the establishment of Spirit Academy." Spirit Pagoda master announced.

Soon sounds of other elders resounded in the conference hall. It seemed that all of them agreed with the notion of the creation of an academy and others were curious as to what the new generation had to offer them.

"I hope no one is against my proposal of making Elder Su the dean of Spirit Academy." Spirit Pagoda Master asked while looking at the various Elders who had gathered for this conference.

"How can we refuse The Saint Craftsmen Elder Su of his right to become the dean. If anything we believe that this would make the students also focus on developing their second professions rather than just focusing on their cultivation."

One of the elders expressed his thoughts while the rest simply nodded, maybe because they did not want this troublesome position to be granted to them or maybe because they truly agreed. Either way, it was clear that Elder Su was greatly respected in the Spirit Pagoda. Saint craftsmen were extremely rare and there were only 20 saint craftsmen in the whole douluo continent. Elder Su was also a talented Soul Master as he was a titled douluo with soul power over 90.

"I'm honored by the position that I have been granted and I will try to make the new generation of our spirit pagoda prosperous." Elder Su told while bowing towards the Spirit Pagoda master.

"Hm, I want them to be able to triumph over Shrek academy." Pagoda Master said while looking at Elder Su.

"Yes, I shall try to make that happen." Elder Su replied though he was unsure because The Shrek Academy was widely known as their students were all monsters. The graduation requirements of Shrek Academy were really harsh and getting admitted was also pretty challenging for most. But those that made it out of Shrek Academy were respected partly because graduating would mean that they are battle armor masters.

Even though the challenge the Pagoda Master had suggested might prove to be challenging, Elder Su refused to give up and wanted to try his best. He had already resolved himself before making this suggestion and he really wanted the younger generation to thrive.
